I can't stop eating them 😍😍 I had some issues with the cookies spreading and the baking times but that's mostly because I have an ancient oven 😅Also I swapped 1/2 cup of chocolate chips with dark chocolate chunks. Made this yesterday and they were sooo good, but my grandma found the original ones too sweet. We tweaked it a bit and only put a quarter cup each of white and brown sugar and they still tasted good! We didn't reduce the flour which made it cakey but it turned out better for us because apparently (we didn't know this) liked cakey cookies better than crispy ones. Thank you for this recipe. 🧡
Delicious and super easy to make. Just make sure to leave them on the tray to cool as they will fall apart if you try to get them out of the tray straight away. Once cooled they were the perfect consistency, crisp outside and chewy inside, very impressive, I'll be making these again!
Absolutely delicious.its soft inside n crunchy outside... just md it.. i added chopped almond as i didnt av pecan ..n i also added 1 tbsp of peanut butter in the batter.... yummy.. i added 160g of sugar instead of 200g. It wud av bn way too sweet.. any1 doing this recipe just reduce sugar . . Despite ive reduced 40g its still a lil sweet.

I replaced: butter with a thawed frozen banana (in future, I will try a very ripe banana, I was too impatient to wait for them to ripen) mashed the banana with 1 cup of light brown sugar (I ran out of white sugar) - if the banana doesn't cooperate and blend well with the sugar, use a hand-held mixer just to ensure there are no clumps of banana, about a minute should do, just get rid of banana lumps replaced egg with flaxseed (1 tablespoon mixed with 3 tablespoons of water, set for 15 minutes) I normally replace 1/4 of applesauce for one egg but I thought the flaxseed would be a better binder as the texture was wetter than when I made this using butter and Anna mentioned too much applesauce could result in a cake-like texture maple syrup instead of vanilla (as I ran out) 2 tablespoons of cornstarch as I was out of Kuzu (as the thawed mashed banana was not as thick as butter would be, hence I recommend the use of a very ripe banana, not a frozen one to mash with sugar) I used 1-1/4 cup of cake & pastry flour (as it has salt and baking powder premixed and I want to use up this bag of flour) 1 teaspoon of baking soda 1 cup of lightly toasted walnuts 1.5 cups of dark chocolate chips and then followed the rest of the recipe instructions
These were amazing , but they only harden once I let them cool for a while. For the first batch I kept on thinking it was undercooked because they didn’t harden until they cooled , and I put them in the oven over and over again until I overcooked it. The second batch I did properly and it turned out awesome.

I just made these cookies with sugar reduced slightly. If you're using 70% bittersweet choc I think you can follow the original recipes cos my cookies turned out not too sweet at all. They're tasty but I'm not sure why mine didnt flat out

I just tried the recipe now using exact measurements but my batter seem watery and couldn't form a dough ball. Wondering what I did wrong 🤔, the only thing I did different from the video was to beat the sugar and butter using a hand whisk till fluffy instead of spatula, is that enough to cause the difference?
You dissolved all the sugar because the butter has melted with all the whisking you are doing. You are supposed to cream or fold if you familiar with meringue) the butter and sugar

Silly question perhaps, but could you just double the ingredients to make a double batch? I know some recipes you can't do that. Will doubling alter the turn out of the cookie?!

Just make the dough in batches of one at a time, then tip each batch into a larger bowl, then scoop your spoonful ( I use an ice cream scoop ) onto your baking tray, and continue with the baking instructions. And yet, still flat dense little cookies. Flour volume and weight measurements are so different. Also, the butter that I use must have a huge impact on the outcome. But that never seems to get mentioned. What about the style of cookie sheet, heavy v. Light? These factors must all matter....Any comments?

So I tried your secret ingredient of corn starch. Was not a hit. Changed the flavour and texture of the cookies. I made another batch without the corn starch and they were way better.

How come in one video you say to swift the dry ingredients but in another you say it's not needed? Lol also in your other video (same ingredients ) you don't put them in the fridge . Love these cookies tho!
