Just a quick info about shadowrun, the super nintendo game was a different story than the 3 games on the switch trilogy. But jake armitage, the protagonist from the snes game has a cool cameo in shadowrun returns (1st of the switch trilogy), along with a few easter egg references to the snes game and story.
Not gonna spoil it, but it s in the first hours of the game

Cloudpunk is a fun relaxing Cyberpunk game, surprised it wasn't mentioned here, especially with news about their upcoming project Nivalis

Currently hooked on 2077 and i love every bit of it. The fact they included a certain main quest character in even side quests is the writing attention i praise
Beyond a Steel Sky and Ghostrunner are my all time favourites. The first one is a sequel to a masterpiece, the second action packed-cyberpunk-themed game easy to handle, but hard to master. Love them♥️
I wanted to get Blade Runner but sadly it's been refused classification in Australia/NZ. On the up side ... I've managed to avoid adding anything to my backlog this week so go me !
Cyberpunk is one of my favorite genres! I love Gamedec and the Shadowrun games. The latter, I was in on the Kickstarter for each of the games while they were in development. Haven't picked up the Switch versions of them, but do plan to in the future. Added Anno Mutationem and State of Mind to the wishlist. Dex, Transistor, and NeoCab are all in my backlog.

Ghostrunner is a game that has no right to be as good as it is. It feels so simple at first but Lord is it satisfying as it picks up. Cannot recommend enough

Very good list, Anno mutationem and Observer are going straight in my wishlist! I also bought Gamedec after you reviewed it and loved every minute of it, the ambiance and storytelling are excellent.
Only thing missing for me is Ruiner, it's all kinds of brutal but absolutely gorgeous!

Fire list, gentlemen! I would second the honorable mention for Dex and would also add in Ruiner. Those games, while VERY different takes on the genre, are both excellent. I’d also LOVE a Deus Ex port or, more recently, The Ascent.
Watching the sales video at the moment, and came here to remind you lot that there may be fewer of us watching these types, but we love um. It was amazing to check the boxes of the ones I got, and smile at my library. 😎😁 Good stuff.

A great list and I am not sure how so feel about it (😁😩) I have most of the titles in the main list and a number of those in your honourable mention list too.
I like these videos although if I am honest, it serves a slightly different purpose because I have an awfully big backlog of games that I just ‘digitally hoarded’ and these videos remind me to play them… so thanks. (BTW, it was largely your fault I bought them in the first place…)

Neon chrome is a GREAT cyber punk atmosphere game. It’s like smash TV/twin stick shooter, except with upgrades! Super fun game!

State of Mind is one of the best games I have ever played. Amazing world building and cyberpunk atmosphere. Game seems totally forgotten. It looks super clean and runs great. Superb voice acting and a long and deep story. Amazing.

I love cyber-punk as I found when I read Snow Crash all those years ago. 1000% agree that there is awe and wonder with the aesthetics but the absolute horror and depravity that the neon soaked lights veil...
Jack Mov is def a gem that no one talks about...and one day I will finish the Shadow Run games. Moving thru the second one now.
Huntdown and ammo, both look good to me. Huntdown looks very megadrive and ammo just looks pure weird.

Astral Chain, one of the best games on Switch imo and looks amazing.
Rutger is the only reason I bought Observer, one of my favorite actors. Flesh and Blood is one of his best movies but kind of a B style, also stars Jennifer Jason Leigh from Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Thanks for always putting out great videos, I owe half my backlog to you guys.
Saving this one for later, not to forget what's what in this beloved genre. I wish there was some Mass Effect-esque game on switch as well

I love shadow run on the SNES as a kid but I don't think I've ever completed it. One day I'll have to check out the trilogy on the switch. Personally my favorite cyberpunk game on the switch is probably Dex even if it can be frustrating at times.
In the past hour, I'm just trying to connect to a vpn so I can watch this video. At least find a game I like. obsorver reminds me of one of my favorite anime movies. Ghost in the shell. I REALLY LOVED THIS CHANNEL
I've always been a huge fan of cyberpunk style games. I would've loved it if the Deus Ex series came to Switch. But I don't think the hardware can handle it. This is a good list of games and I'm going to have to check out some of them at some point

I really wanna try ANNO Mutationem but I'm waiting for a really good sale on it.
I loved Observer, a lot of fun. But definitely agree about the sneak/chase sequences being a frustrating roadblock.
I've done a couple hours of Ghostrunner, but that was with the demo and unfortunately it didn't carry over when I bought the game and that was disappointing. Still a good one to pick up for a short play session.
Recently added Akane to my loading games list, really nice for short bursts.
I have Gamedec but haven't started it yet. Hopefully getting to it sometime soon!

My favorite genre. Wish there was a Ghost in the Shell game to put on this list. The Shadowrun games were fun, but I never really completed them. I didn't care for the slow pace of the turn based combat. VA-HA11-A is awesome, great soundtrack. Huntdown, and Gamedeck are two I didn't know about. Gonna have to pick them up.
Can't believe Technobabylon didn't make this list. But you got Dex in there so respect.
I played Observer and it was pretty decent (Rutger Hauer VA is just great).
Whenever I see that cyberpunk setting I wonder when we will get an update on *Flashback 2* that was teased last year 🤔

I picked up Axiom Verge 1 on a whim on sale a couple of years ago and was absolutely mind blown over what a great game it is. There are quite alot of games on that list that I have really wanted to play and always try to keep in mind like Dex, huntdown and neo cab. I love everything cyberpunk. Blade runner is one of my favourite movies of all time and I love the feeling that comes with cyberpunk if it's done right. I am also a synthesiser nerd so the soundtracks play a big role for me as well. I don't know if one can call it cyberpunk but one game that kind of always gave me the same feeling as blade runner was Hyperlight Drifter. For me it's one of the best games ever. And I was in absolute awe over the world and soundtrack. But yeah, maybe not cyberpunk but still kind of there for me.
Anno Mutationem is the best cyberpunk game, 1st, totally agree. And greatful for a soon to have LRG physical standard edition
I love cyberpunk as a style of storytelling, so it isn't surprising that I've got quite a few of those games either already owned or on my wishlist. Of the ones I own, I especially like State of Mind. Bought it on a whim when it was on a steep discount because I liked the low-poly art style and was intrigued by the premise, and actually loved the game. As a mystery story it works really well. It's got that style of writing where you're left in the dark for a very long time, but when things start to make sense you realise it actually telegraphed most of the story from the beginning but in such a subtle way that you couldn't piece it all together properly. And one of the few games whose ending (at least the one I got) I felt was earned and valid. And a fantastic worldbuilding behind the whole thing. Wish they'd make a sequel.

Lacuna is a nice cyberpunk detective game
Dex is great cyberpunk game. I highly recommend it. Akane is good as well. These games do go on sale alot. Definitely put them on your wish list and keep an eye on them. This is amazing list I'm huge cyberpunk fan and some of these games I didn't know about and I'll have to check them out for sure.
Encodya has a Ghost in the Shell element and I love the art style

Anna mutationem and hunt down 👌🏻 Already on my list
Jack Move is absolutely charming and has a great story. It's also very short so it's good for gamers that like RPGs but don't have the time. I 100% the game and it took me about 10 hrs for everything.
I would absolutely love a new Shadowrun game in the same vein as the Genesis version.

I really loved Dex, World-building was really well done, for a 2d action-ish rpg adventure game.
I bought Anno Mutationem when it launched on PS4, but I might pick up the Switch version on sale. I haven't finished it and it feels like it would be a great handheld game.

A very cool cyberpunk game that I advise you to check out is Hover. It's parkour in a cybercity also has online play very fun game
Recently "completed" katana zero and it was absolutely fantastic.
The US physical for Anno: Mutationem was through Limited Run. It's not a numbered release from LR, so it might get a standard release later on.

Cloudpunk was a good one as well with it's spin off Nivalis due out later this year fingers crossed.
Ruiner is a terrific game as well. A bit on the short side but fun while it lasted.
You guys should check out the anime that adult swim made. It adds more storyline about the blackout in I can't remember the year. The newest film mentioned the blackout and this anime is around that time. It's a cool tv show as well.
Dex is on my list of started but have yet to finish list. 😕 will need to finish the others I have also started too.

Unsighted is what I would consider a cyberpunk game. It's solid but it has a timing thing. I don't mind it but they put a patch or update so you don't have to use it. Check out the visuals and short game trailer because it's really fantastic after you get the hang of it. The time thing that is.
