I'm thinking Enterprise E was decommissioned and scraped. Starfleet, like the US Navy, has a very bad habit of just throwing legendary ships named Enterprise away to be turned into razor blades or toasters rather than make them museums. It was a tragedy and a crime to scrap USS Enterprise CV-6 after the dedicated service that ship gave in WWII with those who served aboard her! Fleet Admirals Nimitz and Halsey both wanted her spared but bean-counters wanted her off the books! And the sacrifice of those who patched her up after all the battles she fought in, All In Vain. Sure they built a new Enterprise and she was newer and improved. CVN-65 did it's diligent duty as well. Maybe not as decorated as CV-6 but still served honorably. And she met the same fate as her namesake CV-6 when CVN-65 was decommissioned. Sold for scrap! Now we're getting a New USS Enterprise (CVN-80 I believe). May she serve proudly and live up to the legacy and be treated far better when she is retired.
Obviously the economics of the future will be different for Star Fleet, however with the CVN-65, after so many years basic maintenance was becoming an issue because of the ships age, and the fact that a lot of parts, and equipment was no longer being produced, so that meant costly retrofitting, or taking components that had broken and having them constantly rebuilt, which is costly in and of itself because things will need to be custom made. I work on a ship that was built in 1965, so we are having similar issues when it comes to parts, and the ship is scheduled to be decommissioned in 2028, but possibly extended to 2032. As great as the CVN-6 and 65 were, at the end of the day, they are machines that sadly have outlived their useful life, as newer, stronger, and more advanced ships are introduced into service. keeping her as a museum presents its own challenges when it comes to funding as well, because there is only so much that you can do with donations to keep it running, and also keep her from sinking because of corrosion to the hull. The ships were made to last a while, and take a beating, but they were not designed to last forever.
CV 6 was one of 99 aircraft carriers at the end of the war and one of 1,200 ships at the end of the war. A lot of those ships were WW1 survivors, including the Nevada, also a Pearl Harbor survivor. You can come up with reasons to save every one of them but the resources to save none of them. CVN 65 is still around. She is a dirty ship. It's costing one billion dollars to dismantle her. This might start in 2025.
Which is odd given that in the DS9 universe and even the TNG universe we regularly saw Excelsior class ships running around. Seemed that the further back in the Star Trek Universe you go the longer ships were kept around.
USS Enterprise CVN-65 would cost too much to be a museum ship. The expensive task of removing its reactors (a lot of cutting into the ship) and then having to reassemble it for museum purposes, just wasn't feasible. Not to mention the risk of radioactive contamination. The kooky liberals and environmentalists would protest that ship becoming a museum no matter where you put it or how much decontamination you did to it.
Apparently, the Enterprise-E was destroyed by the Undine (Species 8472) when the ship entered fluidic space to investigate, under the command of captain Data, most of the crew survived and escaped. However, in Star Trek Picard season 3 episode "Vox" , Geordi has been working on rebuilding the Enterprise-D! And the crew were to use it to fight the Borg, it was hinted that Worf was in fact in command of the Enterprise-E beforehand, Geordi stated they couldn't use the E, and Worf then stated that what happened to it wasn't his fault, so it would seem that the Enterprise-E may have been destroyed or rendered inoperable because of Worf's actions, not exactly sure how it happened, but this could overide the first theory about the Enterprise-E being destroyed by the Undine.
For the same reason, when the USS Titan was near the border of the BETA Quadrant, you could ask yourself whether Seven of Nine did do any effort of finding Axum, the other Borg drone she fell in love with in Unimatrix Zero, but nothing is said about that, nor is anything said about her relation with Commander Chakotay in the last episodes of Voyager. The Enterprise E, I think it probably is around, since we do see Constitutional class vessels (upgraded or not) and it was mentioned by Levar Burton that they were busy building up another bridge of the Enterprise D. This could be just the old saucer section that had been taken from Veridian III and put as a museum but could also have been another Galaxy class starship to connect Picard with this type of ship, since this was HIS ship. TNG focused mainly around the Galaxy class starship and the Enterprise D got a terrible dishonorable ending (indirectly destroyed by a puny Klingon Bird of Prey), so I hope they rectify something about the Galaxy class, and whether this is the Enterprise, maybe with a nice stardrive section and do some real DAMAGE to get it's honor back. We do know that the Galaxy class starship fulfilled part of this task when the refitted models kicked demolished Dominion ships by the dozens.
Considering Earth is very near the border of the Beta Quadrant, that isn't saying much. Starfleet ships are often near it. It's where both the Klingon and Romulan empires sit. That said, it's many thousands of lightyears deep so being near the border doesn't mean much either. As for the E, it's long gone. At this point we're looking at the F likely getting near decommissioning. We could have a G coming pretty soon. Personally I think that's a great opportunity for a bona fide 25th century Star Trek series. They've already brought us up-to-date with some of the galaxy's goings-on and there's some characters that they could even pull into it as permanents.
i really hope that theShip Still exist i think The E and the A is among all Fans the 2 Most Favorites without a doubt. And just Immagine how Great she would look with Todays CGI and Technology. But at least its Great to Know that atleast the Soverign Class is still Kickin, Best Looking Class Forever!
I'm not a fan of videos that entice viewers in answering a question only to realize that it's just a recap of known facts just to get people to click. You don't even answer the question everyone is asking while watching this video.
An alternative theory. Given that we’ve now seen Starfleet, at least twice, re-christen an existing ship as the Enterprise, it may simply be that the Federation has long since evolved past maritime superstition, and has no hang ups about reserving the name “Enterprise” for the current flagship (the original Enterprise, and Ent’s B-F), or else a ship with notable historical precedent (Enterprise-A, securing captaincy of the Enterprise for Kirk, or Enterprise-G, the specific ship that literally just helped save the Federation). So maybe the Sovereign-class, former Enterprise-E is still flying around somewhere with a different name and registry, rechristened after Starfleet commissioned whatever class the Enterprise-F was as the new, shiniest, most powerful flagship.
my headcanon (and from what i know of star trek EU events ?) is that the Big E, was indeed repaired, did more missions under Picard (although the TNG crew was broken up and shifted to other ships and tours of duty, one by one) for just long enough to have enough newer post-Dominion-War Sovereign class ships finish their construction and become crewed and active. After that, the Big E then served a 5-year tour of duty as a cadet training ship, before then being fully decommissioned and inducted into the SF ships museum (as all Enterprise's are want to do ?)
Well seeing as Picard Season 3 Episode 6 has already aired, we know that the Enterprise E is not at the Starfleet Museum. So it's either still in active service somewhere under a different name or it was destroyed in some unmentioned battle.
@@MarkandMaria1 yes, of course. I was referring to them saying that the saucer section was taken to the museum where Geordi works. I think that’s where this is headed and how he appears.
For myself personally... I don't want to hear about the 'mileage', I want to see it. I wanted to see more of the 'E' and at the very least, one season of adventure with the 'F'. Loving the Titan A though, it is a very cool ship so far.
The titan is a tacky and rushed design and with the bad CGI it looks out of a computer game. Then again with these effects even the legendary sculpted designs look iffy so.
It was basically in the same shape as the Enterprise A at the end of The Undiscovered Country. I think they retired the A model or ended up using it for target practice. The E model probably suffered a similar fate.
A is part of a museum with other ships like Voyager probably because of it's history like stopping an attempt to sabotage making peace with the klingons. As for E, well, Worf says that wasn't his fault.
2386 responded to a distress call from kiliar Prime which forces him out of the position as Captain later on leading to a secret mission leading to the Enterprise being critically damaged then later decommissioned
The design of the E was very sleek. But it lacked all the features Roddenberry has foreseen for an interstellar civilization like the Federation. They made the D bulky because it had to be fit for deep space research and missions, making it a permanent living environment for people to spend their lifes in. Don't get me wrong, not all things Roddenberry decided have my support and after 91 they quickly departed from his strict ruleset for the show for good reasons. However, imagine spending years on a spaceship only as a crewmember - you had to had some space and all the installations and facilities for proper research - I think this idea of his, worked well. The Federation was always portrayed as a peace seeking society, how does it fit in to build warships and put one of the best crews that finished so many missions suddenly into a non-research vessel? To me it didn't. There were threats throughout all the time in Trek - the Klingons, the Romulans and whoever else there was. I never got the part where the Borg became a reason to change the entire strategy and philosophy of the Federation - the strength of the films and the series always was to find a solution with the given resources - that's why it was interesting to watch, at least to me. Starting with the films of the TNG crew, Trek's focus was more on existing enemies and known allies instead of something happening during research. I didn't get that, either. Enough ranting now. I somehow like season 3 of Picard very much; a shame they make it end now when it has suddenly the quality it should've had from the start.
Let's be honest, For over two hundred years Starfleet has basically been using the same theme for its flagship designs consisting of saucer, main body, two nacelles. There is only so much that can be done with that and I feel it has gotten to the point they all look alike.
This is my favorite Enterprise as well. The Sovereign Class is the bees knees! It's still unclear of the Enterprise E's fate. It's hinted that Worf did something to the ship, but Worf claims it is not his fault. 🤷🤷
Hope she made it into retirement and is in the spacedock museum. The F will join her in Picard S3, and I hope we get a new Enterprise G for a future show with Terry Matalas behind the helm!
probably around in some form or another, the constitution3's literally have old constitution bones and bits lol. Not sure about the lore explanation, i think it's due to massive ship losses through-out the dominion war, to recoup quickly a lot of the newer classes are literally built on old structural frame pieces, "bones". So even if decomissioned her good "bones" are still flying in some class or other.
I think they either decommissioned it or did some upgrades and then changed the name to something else, so they can use the "Enterprise" name to a future flagship.
Source : Memory Beta, German subsidiary In 2381, the USS Enterprise-E was stationed along the Neutral Zone in the Beta Quadrant when Starfleet High Command ordered the flagship back to Earth. When Picard is promoted to admiral to lead a mission to evacuate millions of Romulans, Worf becomes captain of the USS Enterprise. The ship is then deployed far from Romulan space. In 2383 the ship is still active. Picard is on board the USS Verity near the neutral zone at this time and misses the ship sorely.[5] A short time later, the USS Enterprise-E is part of a large armada attempting to intercept the USS Protostar, which is under the influence of the Vau N'Akat Living Construct. When Ascenia activates the construct, she is able to take control of the entire fleet, including the USS Enterprise-E.[15] In 2386, the USS Enterprise-E is dispatched to Kriilar Prime, where an incident occurs that forces Worf out of his position as captain. On a secret mission that followed shortly afterwards, the ship was damaged and then decommissioned. On the Memory Alpha side,German subsidiary, the story of the Enterprise E ends immediately after the fight against the Scimitar. No further information is given there about the time that followed and the other commanders of the ship.
In my head canon the Sovereign is the refit from Enterprise A. Just look at the design and tell me a Sovereign isn't just an upgrade from the constitution?
From the books, we know that a very real war with the Borg took place and the Alpha alliance ultimately persevered. Since we are all wishing for a worthy end to the "E" I pick a heroic death.
Yeah, after the Borg War arc, we got the Typhon Pact and The Fall. Both of which featured an extensively rebuilt Enterprise-E, which makes sense considering her collision with the Scimitar in Nemesis. Enterprise-E was still in active service in 2386, but as others have speculated, she was probably decommissioned due to the aforementioned damage from ramming the Scimitar. Still, the Constitution class was in service for over 60 years (some sources make them even older, having them enter service in the 2220s). The Excelsiors and Mirandas are over 100 years old. Even the Galaxy class is still in active service at over 40 years old.
So the E was around for 12 years? That’s a tiny window for a starship. They should’ve just said it was recently decommissioned and the F was just now taking its place giving it a much longer service life
Nothing happened to the Enterprise-E. It's perfectly fine. It's just that the current generation of Star Trek writers lack any real level of talent or competency. Just ignore them. The E is fine.
I think is because not many people remember the E fondly. I thought it was too much like a Constitution Class. The Next Generation became their own, which hasn't been done in too many franchises.
Federation starships are becoming more cute then tough. It will seem that the last great federation starship is the Excelsior since it's still around in the late 24th century.
I’m late seeing your informative video so as we know the Enterprise E wasn’t in that Ship Museum, unless it’s inside the Space Station that Geordi runs. Then again sadly the Enterprise E could have been destroyed. I really hope not, like many of us. At least the Enterprise A,Difiant,& Voyager that we saw are still around!
I don't really consider anything after 2379 and Nemesis canon but I do accept the idea that the E isn't in service now quite easily. It was launched in 2372 which is nearly 30 years ago from the current time and yes these ships do go through the most difficult and dangerous situations. To last a decade or so is pretty miraculous and sad at the same time.
These enterprise could be used for captains who retired or about to retire or private ships. Yes they are not real but still don't destroy all enterprises. Enterprise E took a major beating and still csme out
I think they are just trying to come closer to the real world, look how long and airplane or ship is in service, there isn't such a thing as refit, they just decomission it. However in TOS time due to the economic reality, even in real life, they would be more likely to keep it going, just look at the Beetle and other older cars they are made to last and to being repaired even with the status of a classic. However look at cars from the last 20 years, show me a car from 15 years ago that is still around, outside of having the same owner.
my favorite Ships are still from the Next generation the Galaxys and Nebulas. but they have to make new ships all the time and the simple reason for this is..... Merchandise. New Ships in every Movie or Series just to sell more Toys. Same with Star Wars.
I'd like to hope the E was retired, and decommissioned. But if it was destroyed. I'm sure it's destruction is still sung about on Qo'nos, for the bravery of its crew as it fell to Fek'lar on its fiery journey to Sto'Vo'Kor. Shatner was right. I do need a to get a life. Lol
Personally, I would much rather have had the Enterprise-E than the Titan-A as the ship of the season. It would have made more sense to have Riker/Picard doing a surprise inspection on the Enterprise-E than the new Titan-A. Oh well. It's not like Kurtzman Star Trek has ever given the fans what they've wanted anyway.
I’d hope that star fleet has a ghost navy somewhere like we do where ships are just mothballed and left to orbit some planet to be recalled in time of need. A Stellar version of the Arizona desert.
Worf broke it!
I still think the enterprise E is the best enterprise ever created. That thing was a beast.

@@johnfarina9405 That and god knows how dirty the enterprise CVN -65 was with her 6 reactors.....
Worf is what happened to the enterprise E lol
After they cucked him on the torpedoes for so long, it all came apart when they gave him quantums.
Whatever happened..... it wasn't Worf's fault.
A ship built to hold thousands but can be run by a crew of 7
as in Picard season 3 episode 9 , now that's an outstanding design
AI has come a long way in the 25th Century! And apparently, Geordi is the only one who knows how to turn the lights on!
Nope it was worf who was captain data died in nemesis
Worf's "prepare for ramming speed" again ?😂😂😂
And let’s not forget Moriarty was in the halo cube on the Enterprise D. They never addressed if it made it off.
Since he's in the trailer for Picard Season 3, obviously he did make it off.
@@MarkandMaria1 yes, of course. I was referring to them saying that the saucer section was taken to the museum where Geordi works. I think that’s where this is headed and how he appears.
It was seen in Star Trek Prodigy. It was getting messed up pretty bad there.
For myself personally... I don't want to hear about the 'mileage', I want to see it. I wanted to see more of the 'E' and at the very least, one season of adventure with the 'F'. Loving the Titan A though, it is a very cool ship so far.
The Titan is a design created by a fan who has gained notoriety on FB boards for amazing models.
@@clubtepes2046 Yes..... and?
The titan is a tacky and rushed design and with the bad CGI it looks out of a computer game.
Then again with these effects even the legendary sculpted designs look iffy so.
@@ToothlessDragon536 That's your opinion.
@@Nemoticon as is yours that it’s a very cool ship so far.
I think I read somewhere it was decommissioned after a battle in fluidic space where its systems were badly damaged?
It was basically in the same shape as the Enterprise A at the end of The Undiscovered Country. I think they retired the A model or ended up using it for target practice. The E model probably suffered a similar fate.
A is part of a museum with other ships like Voyager probably because of it's history like stopping an attempt to sabotage making peace with the klingons. As for E, well, Worf says that wasn't his fault.
The Enterprise E is stuck in copyright limbo. It is owned by the movie studio that makes Star Trek movies, not the television arm.
Worf. Worf is what happened.
probably around in some form or another, the constitution3's literally have old constitution bones and bits lol. Not sure about the lore explanation, i think it's due to massive ship losses through-out the dominion war, to recoup quickly a lot of the newer classes are literally built on old structural frame pieces, "bones". So even if decomissioned her good "bones" are still flying in some class or other.
The E was the sexiest Enterprise.
I think they either decommissioned it or did some upgrades and then changed the name to something else, so they can use the "Enterprise" name to a future flagship.
Source : Memory Beta, German subsidiary
In 2381, the USS Enterprise-E was stationed along the Neutral Zone in the Beta Quadrant when Starfleet High Command ordered the flagship back to Earth. When Picard is promoted to admiral to lead a mission to evacuate millions of Romulans, Worf becomes captain of the USS Enterprise. The ship is then deployed far from Romulan space. In 2383 the ship is still active. Picard is on board the USS Verity near the neutral zone at this time and misses the ship sorely.[5]
A short time later, the USS Enterprise-E is part of a large armada attempting to intercept the USS Protostar, which is under the influence of the Vau N'Akat Living Construct. When Ascenia activates the construct, she is able to take control of the entire fleet, including the USS Enterprise-E.[15]
In 2386, the USS Enterprise-E is dispatched to Kriilar Prime, where an incident occurs that forces Worf out of his position as captain.
Are there any pictures of the Starfleet Museum?
I still think the Enterprise A (or refit Enterprise) is by far the best looking Enterprise. The Titan has too many lumps on it that spoil its lines.
I prefer the D but your spot on about the refit being a beauty and the titan is just ugly or only a mother could love IMHO
In my head canon the Sovereign is the refit from Enterprise A. Just look at the design and tell me a Sovereign isn't just an upgrade from the constitution?
The Titan very much looks like it was based on the Enterprise-B, an Excelsior-class ship.
Its last mission was classified. I can only assume its important, and will tie into the season....somehow 😅🖖
The Enterprise-E is my favorite ship too!
The one thing that bugs me about ST Picard is there pretending like ENT E never happened
My idea would transfer the E to Section 31 for classified missions with a run silent, run deep attitude.
Maybe the ship is just in moth-balls and they steal is towards the end for some special mission.
They should’ve just said it was recently decommissioned and the F was just now taking its place giving it a much longer service life
The D was only around for 8
Now after season 3 I heard it was damaged beyond compare from the borg virus that made multiple ships including the E shoot at eahother.
what did worf do?????
In a world were humans out live the life of a star ship lol
Nothing happened to the Enterprise-E. It's perfectly fine. It's just that the current generation of Star Trek writers lack any real level of talent or competency. Just ignore them. The E is fine.
Decommisioned. No reason to destroy another Enterprise.
I do like the E but love the enterprise d more i even have the enterprise d dreadnought on star trek online 🙂
Worf stuck a klingon cloak on it and forgot where its parked.... they are still looking for it. Too Much Blood Wine ;)
It could still be around. It could have been decommissioned and put into a reserve fleet.
It is nice. My favorite is NCC 1701 A
I think is because not many people remember the E fondly. I thought it was too much like a Constitution Class. The Next Generation became their own, which hasn't been done in too many franchises.
Because it wants to stay away from current trek but the big E knows it's being slowly hunted to come back
Federation starships are becoming more cute then tough. It will seem that the last great federation starship is the Excelsior since it's still around in the late 24th century.
Wouldn't it be funny if the enterprise E became the next Miranda class
Enterprise E is marked as classified
it was totally worf's fault..
Whatever happened to her, it wasn't Worf's fault.
I heard it got a gel pack computer virus. That was it's demise
You're probably right.

An essay asks a question it neglects to answer . . . .
STO had the e went missing but it was under command of data so........
I guess the damage from the Scimitar didn't buff out!
Probably decommissioned. It would be an old ship by 25th century standards
Seems like the star trek online novel listed it as mia.
As we see it has been decommissioned and put in a museum
It’s not Worf’s Fault!
These enterprise could be used for captains who retired or about to retire or private ships. Yes they are not real but still don't destroy all enterprises. Enterprise E took a major beating and still csme out
I hope the writers at least tell us about her.
My favourite enterprise as well
my favorite Ships are still from the Next generation the Galaxys and Nebulas. but they have to make new ships all the time and the simple reason for this is..... Merchandise. New Ships in every Movie or Series just to sell more Toys. Same with Star Wars.
Alls I know is it wasn't Worfs fault.
Worf did it! LOL
I think it was decommissioned .
My theory is that after it's collision with the Scimitar it was never the same again and Starfleet eventually retired it.
Nobody watched Prodigy I take it. The living construct took it out
What about the Reference that Worf Destroyed the Enterprise D in season 3 of Picard?
I think the enterprise e was destroyed
I’d hope that star fleet has a ghost navy somewhere like we do where ships are just mothballed and left to orbit some planet to be recalled in time of need. A Stellar version of the Arizona desert.
They had one in one of the STNG episodes.
@@vintagethrifter2114 I haven’t watched enough TNG lately. I can’t remember that episode.
@@chrissmith7669 I don't watch it much. I think it was some type of war game exercise and they needed an older ship. There were several there.
