When you have a band where everybody is obsessed with making everyone else sound great. Fantastic!
For sure, well put homie. I am aching to make friends and acquaintances with musicians who share my passion and drive to play funky/danceable music. I literally have nobody :/. 3 years back I made a friend and him and his friends (about 13 people) had a space in an art collective that leased practice spaces and they invited me to join them. It was the best year of my life. Well, one night, while I was on vacation, the person in charge of bringing party supplies (aka drugs) had apparently brought Molly and Oxys. Now, obviously myself and everyone there had done molly. Most of us and also done actual pharma Oxycodone. Well, the idiot who brought them that night had bought fake M box 30s, which for those of you not in the loop, are fent heavy. Now, normally they are more-or-less responsibly fent'd, so they are just strong and not deadly. However, they are dangerous because they are plagued with what's called Hotspots. Inevitably, when the stupid shits making the drugs will be lazy and not evenly distribute the fent into the powder and that results in a whole pill, or a few or even just a small part of a single, having an absolutely killer amount of Fent.
Well, from what I was told and saw in pictures, they had gotten a few of the fake 30s and crushed them all up together and would just use a card to cut little bumps as the night went on. Well, at one point they decided to all do a ripper together........and man, I'm tearing up...they all. All 12. They all died that night in that leased practice space. They all, ALL, are gone. Died together in a sweaty little room. All of my music friends. Man, I still am not really over it. Since then I have not found music friends, I have no one. It sucks and I just

The two drummer-dynamic really adds a lot to their songs (I’ve seen a couple now with 2); the horns sound so incredibly clean. The way they mixed/recorded it really makes the track

Yep, Cory Wong is an interesting fellow in music. He has such a nice presence and revives and perfects a style of guitar playing that truly deserves to be explored. But his music is a bit lacking. At times it sounds like example music from iMovie. Some of his songs are great though, like Work it Out. Although it's still super slick it has got that spark. I think Cory Needs someone to work with, someone who is more fascinated by writing songs than by playing guitar, arranging och getting that specific sound. Then maybe Cory could put his vision and his style on top of some more solid songwriting. Maybe that could give the music a sense of direction, which it sadly lacks right now. Thought?
Eh, he's got that with Vulfpeck, in case you don't already know. Personally I enjoy the way Cory combines pure cheese with virtuosic playing. It's not like he doesn't have a sense of irony.
edit: and I guarantee if you saw this tune live you would rock the fuck out. It might be slick but it's still fat as hell
