Back in 2007 i had a few gigs with Simon Petrén. I’m an old drummer. And he is the most amazing keyboardist. He is also a musician on the level of these dudes on stage. In fact. I know he has been a backup keyboardist on some dirty loop gigs.

Actually don't understand why we don't hear him shredding on the guitar. I've heard three songs off of this and have absolutely no idea why he is there in the first place. Any basic Rhythm guitarist could have set in

I can't stop listening to the altissimo on that tenor solo. Lenny Pickett would be proud! The horns are super tight overall. Put in a few bari scoops and you'd almost have the Tower of Power horns! Henrik absolutely killed this one.

@@WandaBread im pretty sure "cookin" was used like 40-50 years ago pretty regularly lol. Im 30 and got it from my dad. cooks is just a slight alteration so it probably makes sense to anyone who was cool back then :)

What on earth would make some keyboard warrior give this a thumbs down? Extraordinary players, each and everyone. We know Dirty Loops are amazing, we know Cory Wong has funk coming out of those hands, and that brass section is just icing on an already amazing gathering of REAL musicians. Bravo!

Okay. Long winded one here. I love this Collab. It is wonderful. I play drums on occasion and done so in bands whatever for like 15-20 years. Guys like Cory are the best. They exude pure passion for an instrument that they're playing. I do not play guitar, I know what goes into it however. He doesn't seem to be doing the most strenuous guitar riffs in the world, but his passion for just executing it wonderfully is contagious. I wanted to make fun of it on this comment, I just can't seem to do it. It must be me envious and jelly of where he is. Please don't tell me that this is the last song of this collaboration. I could use this for the rest of my life. Thoroughly thoroughly thoroughly love this get up. Also, the female saxophone player shows the same passion for execution. Please don't ever let this end. Love you, all wonderful stuff.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing about these vids. They’re amazing, but I was wondering if the DL half of the stage was shot in Sweden, the Cory half in the US, and then stitched all together in post. Anybody know the behind-the-scenes scoop?

Is this recording live in this video? . It seems Cory and the Hornheads are looking at the other side of the stage in a different studio with different lights and shadows. Part of the video was recorded in two places and edited in a single stage. Music and video are brutally INSANE!! Creative, talented, no words.
It's a live recording but there are definitely overdubs and inserts. Just like Follow The Light - it would have been impossible for Jonah to sing it without overdubs because parts blend into each other etc.
