I love the 13 Fishing version they absolutely catch bass!
The middle one looks awesome well done on the explanations to I've never even heard of these but will try them thx
Thanks for tuning in.
Excellent video really appreciate it very good information thanks 👍
I’m happy that I was able to help. Thank you for watching
I have been fishing the bam for over a year now and catch a lot of fish, the 6/0 hook tends to be pointed in a downward direction, takes pliers and bend it up to where it is level with bait
My Man!! Great tip I will look into that. Are you primarily imitating gizzard Shad
Earned my subscription!
What’s up Ted. Thanks man I appreciate you
I throw the sweep a lot and I recommend using the 8/0 owner beast.
I will give it a shot
Nice information - very informative
Thanks for watching. Hope it helps you stick a giant!!
Subd. You just popped up on my feed and damn if you don’t like throwing what I like throwing! Great tip in starting the screw lock in the bait upside down, I’ve always struggled with this and now I know, thx! Waiting on my 6 sense sweep order the get here, so great timing, looking forward to seeing it swim. Good stuff my man!
Sweet man thank you. Is 6th Sense big in TX? I would imagine so considering it’s home base. I was just looking at the new fast sink Trace. May have to grab a few. It’s close to glide bait season for me here in IN.
@@HookLife Yes, 6sense is popular, with Ben Milliken influencing allot of anglers here. I do have a floating Trace, but haven’t fished it yet, bcuz I have a couple of good custom wakes that I’d rather throw and a 6” bull shad that’s a great burn & pause 3joint, like you mentioned. Forward sonar has def changed the game, I prob need to think about getting one.. thx
I have a slow sink Trace. Did a vid on it last year. I’m happy to see they came out with a fast sink. Love my bull Shad’s, have some one knockers, wakes, slow sinks and rats. Just picked up my first Gill Glide. That thing is sick. Just need to paint it.
@@HookLife I’ll check out the video, maybe I’m missing the boat on that one. Get that new gill painted soon, the glide bite is 🔥 right now in TX, you guys are prob not far behind. Which gill did you get?
@@CA-sl2xw I picked up the Bull Gill Glide 2nd hand. It’s painted bone color. I’m definitely sending it for some custom work.
The slow sink definitely has a an application in shallow water, burn stop, burn stop, BOOM!!!
Just getting into 5" swimbaits and larger great video thanks
Thanks for watching
Great video, what is your line choice please for the soft Swimbaits?
Enjoy your organizational skills
Thanks for tuning in Bob. I like 15lb Berkley big game or if I can afford it 15lb Seaguar Invisx
Ok so i used the sweep today but i had it on a 7/0 keel weighted hayabusa hook with the screw lock as well and my weight on the hook didnt quite reach the belly slit... which made it swim like a drunk fish lol. I guess ill try that owner beast 6/0. Seems like yours is fitting on the bait..great video, glad i found it.
Thanks for watching !! Now go catch some Giants 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Can you add a nail weight somewhere on the sweep or the bmf bait to make it get deeper?
YES! The BMF in the belly behind the hook slot and the sweep in the chin or belly behind hook slot
@@HookLife oh wow, thanks for the reply. I was not expecting a response so quickly, 😆......no change in action adding the nail weight for either? (i have the sweep)
@dle7725 not sure if changes the action. I have never tried it but if I needed to that’s where I would put them. Try it out and let me know 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Like the color on the 6 inch one. Chartreuse stripe sets it off. Who makes it
Steve that is Scottsboro Tackle Company. I have been using them for a few years now. Really good quality baits
I would definitely throw them and the tooth pick hack is sweet
Thanks for watching Greg. Big smallies will crush baits like this at the right time
Of year
Should I slit the belly with a weightless beast hook or only with a weighted hook ? Thanks
I
With a 6” bait like the Scottsboro you need a beast hook. There is a lot of plastic and the gap in the hook helps with the hook up ratio
@@HookLife ok I'm getting some beast hooks , thanks for your help.
@@HookLife do you slit the belly with a weight less beast hook
No worries brotha. It’s all about the thickness of the plastic. A 6” keitech easy shiner you could probably rig on a standard bells weighted swimbait hook because the midsection isn’t that thick. A 6” Scottsboro is way thicker in the middle and the bite gap of the hook needs to be thicker.
@@HookLife ok got it rhanks
Time for you to head south bro, to much ice around here.
Time to perform annual maintenance and get organized for the new season.
I heard that. Got a lot of stuff I bought last year and need to figure out where to put it
I'm about to burn these bass up with that 6th Sense Sweep
It’s a sweet little swimbait.
You ever throw a Working Class Zero Citizen swimbait?
Not yet. Missed the last drop.
I throw em, they slay! That and the 316 rising son “top hook” have been heavy hitters for me.
Still done have a rising son. It’s been on my radar for a while. I need to pull the trigger on it.
@@HookLife They are expensive and sometimes hard to find. I’ve been a conventional angler (plugs, jigs, T-rigs and all) for a long time. Turned on to the glide/big swimbait game last year and have had more fun, caught bigger fish than any other time in my life, while still fishing all the normal bass tackle. On 3/3 this yr, caught my new PB 10.2 on a 6”citizen on Public TX lake with no forward sonar. There’s something about these bigger soft plastics that they can’t handle, I assume it’s because they don’t see them much. If you get a Citizen or 316 around fish, they will eat it! Thx for the content!
Thanks for supporting the channel CA. Just waiting for the next WCZ drop to grab a citizen. Tight lines!!
