I feel you. I teared up while working on the lyrics. The pacing was important to me - from being a team to being alone to accepting fate. The bridge part was very critical for me to figure out. I wanted it to represent the realization that there was no way back. I tried many lyric combinations, and when I figured out the line 'My duty is clear, as it's always been,' it hit me. I really like this line, for me it represents this realization that it was all leading to this very moment.

Chief and Noble 6 were both on Reach, it's just that they were involved in seperate engagements. Combat evolved takes place following the Events of Reach. I've got a book somewhere that details Chief and Blue team's exploits up to and during the fall of reach. Most of Blue team died over the events of Reach, with only Chief and (I may be wrong) Linda being the only surviving members. Saying that, Halo 5 renders most of Blue team dying non-Canon anymore, but Chief and one other spartan of Blue team where on the Pillar of Autumn by the time Noble gets there. The reason Chief was the only Spartan active during the first game, unless I'm mistaken, is because his surviving Teammate was critically injured and put in Cryosleep until such a time that they could get medical attention.

Noble-6 is a nameless/faceless spartan from the halo series. A part of the spartan 3 program, designed to make disposable, cheaper spartans, after a series of lone wolf missions achieving a hyper lethal status, was assigned as noble 6 to noble tyeam on reach, and was present during the fall. he/she thought through incredible odds, losing their entire team in the process one at a time, to defend the planet against impossible odds, and thought reach did fall along with 90% of spartan forces, it was noble 6 that escorted Cortana to the pillar of autumn, and held the covenant off so the autumn could escape reach. with kills in the hundreds of thousands, then then tore into the covenant, fighting for pure survival untill they reportedly died in the lone wolf mission. its because of them that the events of halo 1 could take place, that the Masterchief and the UNSC could discover the halo array, and the parasite known as the flood.

This is good. Since Noble Six's gender was player determined, consider making alt version with male voice to honour the other 50% of the character. Lol.
The reason I specifically requested it to be Female even tho he is male in Cannon is to get more female singing in here as it sounds absolutly amazing... My Noble 6 was also female but hey that's details that no one cares about.

I have a headcanon for some (not all) of the fan made songs people make for games like Halo, 40K, etc. Basically, somewhere, in the future of that universe, someone hears of a battle, hero, or event and proceeds to make a song dedicated to it. I firmly believe that if ONI declassified Noble Six's file, this song (along with CG5's "Soldiers Fallen") would be created by musicians inspired by the tale of the Noble Team and Noble Six's contribution to the victory of Humanity.
