  • I've been asked many times how I lower my Graham Farish Class 37 models. Whilst I don't have a fresh one to demonstrate, in this video I talk through the changes required with an existing model.
Obviously this work will invalidate your Graham Farish warranty so make sure the model works well before undertaking any such surgery!
More, as always, on the blog:
If you undertake the work I'd love to hear your experiences - do let me know how you get on. I can't take credit for the method, it was shared on RMweb many years ago, and I have found it to be effective.

Cheers James. I’ve got 3 to do now. I may see if I can print up some shortened interiors too.

You could probably modify the interior, it’s just so difficult to see anyway I didn’t bother sorting a way of reusing it!

Great stuff, but don't forget to clean your fingernails before filming.

Life is too short! I’d unloaded the coal in our bunker earlier in the day and it’s almost impossible to shift for days!

Sorry James, I couldn't help myself. 😞 I'm actually a big fan and really love my copy of the 'art of' book. Good to have real coal for your loco tenders.@@JamesHiltonCustomModelRailways
