Sue, I love how brave you are in your creativity!!! I also appreciate how you describe what you'd do differently "next time"! Thanks for sharing your gift! ☺
Nice upcycle! The finished piece looks dynamic, usual, and eye-catching, not overworked. I think your efforts at recovery were very successful. I look forward to seeing what you do with the foil.
Hi, Sue, this is just breathtaking. I just love the way you make pieces that are tactile and using up things that would end up in a landfill. There is no end to your talent. Just love watching you work as you always make it interesting. Thank you. Please stay safe, your family too. x
Oh MY STARS Sue Amazing! Jaw dropping Eye boggling . WOW WOW! You said you were at a point where it was to much so you tried to undo it. But I loved it like that. LOL
I wish I could find the right words. It’s amazing! I can’t get over your creativity. This is one of my favourites. The colour combinations are spot on. I can’t wait to see what else you do.
I think it turned out great! The white with the other colors swirled in gave it just the right touch (I think) and made it very mystical and magical. This is fantastic!
Sheila Chase Hi Sheila, Do you have a you tube channel ? I am using resin and anything else I can find to put in it, would love to see what other people do with resin. Xx
The word amazing just doesn't seem to be good enough, I absolutely love this piece Sue, so many possibilities, I love that you always seem to think outside the box and inspire so many, including me. Bravo
Hi. How neat! I make jewelry from CD's and DVD's! I create a CD disc "Stone" and incorporate it into my jewelry. I LOVE how you've use the magnet too make the foil stand up! You're always so creative! Thank you for your videos! You inspire me!
Absolutely Brilliant! I had purchased a lot of DVD-Rs for my kitchen backsplash because the DVD-Rs have a Purplish Magenta color as to the CD-Rs have Silverish Blue hues. Looking back it will be good to mix the two types for more depth! Can't wait till your next video!!!!!! Cheers
I wish I would have took them apart as you have! I'm going to order some more lol! Thank you kindly for stimulating our brains! As of late if I could take my brains out and play with them I would!! 🧠😁😂🤣 Stay safe & humble
This is just so beautiful, it’s stunning, I love all of the different colours and textures & add to that, the colours reflecting from the CD pieces, just amazing. What a wonderful way to recycle CD’s as well. Thank you so much once again for sharing your wonderful work, you’re a real inspiration ❤️
I just Love this! I have a ton of blank cd’s now I want to try lol. You are so amazing Mrs. Sue, thank you for all your amazing videos and for being such an inspirational instructor 💖💖
Just made multiple attempts to separate the discs... success was achieved by inserting an exacto knife (or other very thin blade) in the middle hole between the 2 layers & it separated fairly easily, using a more sturdy short knife in a circular pattern. The foil remained, but separated from the discs when cut into pieces.
I think it turned out very pretty. I know what ya mean tho when you say you over worked. I feel it's perfect, we get too hard on ourselves then strive for perfection and we forget that Art can be messy!****♡♡♡ A lovely messy* stay healthy♡♡♡♡♡
Sue Findlay I bought your book yesterday. A paperback. If I have any questions how should I reach you. Or am I able to. Also there was something else about stocks. Is that you also?
I have to say this came out stunning even though you said you think you over working this piece. Just perfect!! Also have to say I enjoy hearing your accent. It’s so Cool! This piece got me wanting to try this out. Got one question why hot water??

If you bake the separated pieces of dvd the foil and purpley side of the dvd actually takes on a whole new texture. Only 1 minute in a hot oven or use a heat gun on low.
It looks like a Sea urchin, I'm blown away by this, its bloody lovely! 🤩😍🤩😍🤩
Thank you 🥰
Oh wow ! I have knew those old CDs would be useful one day 🤩😂👍👏 xx

Stunning, thank you for sharing your ideas and technique. What do you do with the back of the board after the piece is finished please?
I will scrape the drips off, using my hot gun and a wood chisel, then glue a during to the back, using Tarzan or gorilla glue. 💕
Thank you
Wow love it. When I use cd I put tape like like packing tape on it then pull it off
I thought of that, however, then I wouldn't be able to reuse the foil. 💕
...So, this is terrific to the 10th!
Thank you 💕
I have to say this came out stunning even though you said you think you over working this piece. Just perfect!! Also have to say I enjoy hearing your accent. It’s so Cool! This piece got me wanting to try this out. Got one question why hot water??

You are never boring and full of Beautiful surprises..... Very nice. Sue you used mineral turpentine(where to get it???) Amazon doesn't have it.
It is known as mineral spirits in the US and white spirits in the UK. 💕
@@SueFindlay Thank you so much.
Amazing!
Thank you 💕
Yjis is so amazing

Really interesting!!💖💗👍
Thank you 💕
Hola cómo vas siempre nos sorprende con tu arte me encanta eres muy afortunada
Gracias, estoy encantado de que hayas disfrutado el video. Gracias por ver. 💕
I’ve been binge watching your wonderful videos. Such gorgeous work. I mention using mineral spirits to blend colors. Do you need to wash it off after your resin has dried? I’m thinking about how some people use silicone oil in their acrylic paint pours. They have to work to get all the silicone oil off their painting. Thanks for address this question for me.
No, you don't need to wash the mineral spirits off, as it evaporates. That’s why I like to use it. 😁
@@SueFindlay Thanks so very much.
You’re welcome 😁
It looks so beautiful. Are the cuts from cd still sharp?
No, they are not sharp. 💕
Your hands are Gold
Now, that would be nice 😂
Beautiful! ✌💚🌹
Thank you 💕
If you bake the separated pieces of dvd the foil and purpley side of the dvd actually takes on a whole new texture. Only 1 minute in a hot oven or use a heat gun on low.
Nice idea 💕
Just a tip I use the silver foil on mermaids tails hope you don't mind me saying xx
Nice tip, thanks for sharing 💕
That's awesome
Thank you 💕
Gorgeous...instead of a board do you think the records would work....thanks
Many people use old records. That would be even better for the recycle project. Unfortunately, I don't have any to recycle. 💕
@@SueFindlay thank you...i bought some at a garage sale
Awesome
Thank you 💕
