I trained legs with Mike and they were sore the rest of my holiday in Canada lol, I have connected well with my legs before but he made it even better. I get way more from less volume now.
The video is on point. I have similar issues and a lot of what Mike says it's true. I have to add though that the cable benchpress with the top fingers does not make sense to me. Pushing through hands activates my chest significantly more. And I think I can see athlete's should engage more than on the exercises before. But still: very good video with a lot of important qeues.
I’m confused. One video Mike says don’t squeeze or contract a muscle consciously. Just do the movement. Now I hear squeeze. When should I be initiating the squeeze in my chest? The top or middle of the movement?
I’ve always thought that was dumb when guys say only “these” reps matter. That’s like saying I’m shooting 100 free throws but only 98, 99 and 100 count. Makes zero sense.
After rewatching mikes old videos and his absolute FART of a training video , Now I realize why pro-trains keeps a touch or pressure when trainees are pressing or pulling , is to ensure Constant tension , not too much tightness nor too lose …. Doing that to failure and beyond and “squeeze” as mental cue when towards the end makes the set much harder Reason why the rest of the folks who train with Mike get totally worn out, too used to more heavier loads instead of focusing on the range tension , every just go Light weight light weight

Watching Mike train someone is super helpful. The nuances, wow. Thanks for posting Mike.

How much volume did he have you do in your workout with him
@aka_funkychicken 6 exercises, but all done in super sets so 3 really, and did 3 rounds of each. So be 18 working sets total.
@@ghostman824 thanks brother

what do youknow about cortisol, and when the body starts producing it,and what it acually does to your body while working out
Only time cortisol is good is after a workout to help break down your muscles but after a few hrs you should be doing things to lower your cortisol
"have some sauce, relax guys" goated.😂 I love BBQ sauce too, keep that ketchup nonsense out of here.

Mike grabbing his cap to improve his positioning. Funny stuff and it works.

Why no incline chest exercises?
Trying to limit how much his shoulders are playing a role in the lift. Lots of front delt involved with incline 🤙
