never feel bad for lowering weight. weight is inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. as tom platz said, lift pure, lift proper, achieve failure and size will come.
Mike Israetel gives horrible advice to teenagers who don't know how to lift properly. It's all about progressive overload - the reality is you, and others, are weak and small. This is not how to get bigger or to keep muscle on a cut. Most movements involving cables and dbs do not require any specific form knowledge or experience, a few barbell movements require technique, and are generally best avoided by most naturals in favour of other movements, particularly if they're not built for them. Bench and OHP however are pretty simple and require next to no particular expertise. In general, you have to lift heavier week on week, sometimes the last few reps may, and often should, look off. What's important is consistency in your form so you can track your lifts (outside of rare exceptions where people might get injured on a few movements almost actively trying to hurt themselves). Mike Israetel has no serious qualifications - his PhD is from a joke university where you buy it for your postcard certificate, he has no serious credentials, his physique is trash and his best achievement is placing 7th at an amateur show while juicing to the gills. I haven't seen him under 13-15% body fat, and when natural he was usually around 30% body fat. He never got under 25% or so. He is 5 foot 6 and built like a rectangle. He sits down in his videos and leans back at an angle with careful camera positioning to make himself look taller/bigger than he actually is. His recommendations on training and nutrition are almost 100% false, and he claims to use a science based approach to coax unsuspecting youngsters in to his videos as the youtube algorithm loves anything "science based" in the title. But nothing he says is actually based on the science, and never links to the studies so you can actually read them. Now and then, he'll mention a study which departs from the consensus which has a faulty methodology for clicks and views, and but in general he'll simply say what he says is the science and leaves it there. Anyone educated in the field knows he's wrong and a liar. People do collabs with him to boost their own subs.

37:19 When you stand up like that, you know the workout was brutal 😅
seeing Mitch push himself this hard gave me a huge motivation boost!
If you take anything from this remember, KNEES BACK!
I’m glad you asked him if he thought he could take you down.
Mike is absolutely correct, I can't tell you how many times I've had to correct people when it comes to the RDL because the only cue they think of is closing the door behind them instead of trying to make a pucker at the corner of the ceiling and wall. Push your hips as far away from your heels as possible and you will feel it so much more
The receptiveness and teachability you showed here Mitchell is what separates the talented from the skilled. Humility at your level of strength is honorable. You asked clarifying questions and responded to the counsel given immediately, which you in turn found to be profitable.
When I watched it, my best laugh came at 11:56 when they are walking to get more plates, and for a moment their strides sync up. My wonderful wife, sitting next to me on the couch, quipped, "Dr. Mike is like Mini Me." I almost wet myself laughing.
One of the best video on this channel I think. Very informative
