I have this unit and I enjoy it. With some basic upgrades like you mentioned and linked, it’s been great and makes washing cars much easier and enjoyable. I got mine on sale for under $70 a few months back. Keep up the good work Josh.
I just picked up this pressure washer on sale for Father's day. So far I'm very happy with it. Great for washing cars, and for light to medium duty jobs around the house.
Great review as usual. I am looking for a small light pressure washer and being a fully disabled person I like that you commented on the weight of this unit. If you could put them on the scale in future films it will help people like me to choose. Again weight and portability of those is crucial for many people. Thanks for thorough reviews of all those machines.
Just got this for $75. Honestly, it good enough for car washing. If I really need a powerful pressure washer, I have a gas pressure washer 4000 psi/4 gpm
Just got this yesterday . Used it today to wash my car love it . I did purchase a better hose and foam canon at the same time . As all videos I seen suggested to purchase a better hose and foam cannon . Great video
I just bought this pressure washer yesterday I hope I have success with it because I see a lot of people selling these because they did not work. I really like your video and plan on giving the pressure washer a chance seeing is believing.
had this pressure washer for probably 4 years now and i really love how portable it is. i didnt use it very often but when i used it yesterday i noticed it was leaking from the internals and not from the connection points. kind of a shame but its not like its a pricey unit.
I've already purchased the 50ft. Uberflex hose, a foam cannon and the Sooprinse short spray gun that you have recommended, so I've been waiting for a decent pressure washer to use strictly for car detailing. I have a larger Ryobi that leaks at the hose fitting and I don't want to use it. Thanks for all your advice.
I've used this compact Greenworks 1700 for about a year or so (weekend warrior). It's done a fine job and has been reliable till just recently. Unfortunately, its gfci plug buzzes when plugged in, now, and won't supply power to the unit (reset button does nothing). A new gfci plug will likely get it back up and running. Overall, it's a good pressure washer: like most, it's a little light on gpm, but decently powerful. The only real negative is the squeaky noise it makes when the trigger is released and auto-stop kicks in, but that's common for many pressure washers in this class. It's a good value at its current on-sale price of $79. Great reviews, Josh! One suggestion...after doing the foam test, demonstrate the unit's gpm by rinsing the foam off of the vehicle. Thanks!
Another great review Josh! I'm in the market (for a pressure washer), but haven't pulled the trigger yet. It's nice to see that you are willing to check out the inexpensive ones also! Thanks for the honest reviews!
@@imjoshv I just picked up the uberflex hose you recommend all the time it feels so much better than my current hose I cant wait to use it next time I wash my car!
Just purchased one of these and I got 1200 PSI max with the supplied white tip. Switched to a 2.5 tip and psi dropped to 800. So I guess I can’t really increase gpm because then pressure gets too low. I recall ideal psi being around 1200 from other videos on here. I’ll use as is for washing car. Just thought I’d share my results. Machine was manufactured 01/12/21. I do like how quiet it is though. :)
I actually ended up getting the Greenworks too! Had it for 2 months now and I love it. I purchased all 3 and it's the one I kept. It's the quietest and most compact. Been great so far!
Love all your reviews Josh. Doing a great job to help everyone out and help us make a choice. Seems like a good pressure washer. Thanks for the review.
I know this is an old video but I was wondering if you could tell me what your guess is for the included 40 degree nozzle as far as orifice size goes? I would like to up the orifice on a new 40 degree tip to as large as I can go while still maintaining a 900-1000 PSI for car washing. Your test revealed a 1500psi with the included tip so there is room to go even wider. If you know what the orifice on the included 40 degree tip is, or have a guess, I'd appreciate it.
Another great review! It looks like the Ryobi nozzle was showing 1700-1750 PSI, not 1850. The Craftsman 1700 seems slightly better at 1850 and 1.1875 GPM.
I have been so scared to buy a pressure washer and this video really helped me! Thank you. I am stoked I have a chance to win this one. Proof I watched the video here are your test results 81db, 1500psi, gpm 1.25. That's using the provided pieces. I love the tips on upgrading hoses and quick connects. Great stuff Josh. I also subscribed to your channel today🤙

I just this pressure washer and I don’t know if mine is broke or it’s normal but the treaded piece on the pressure washer we’re you connected the hose for Spray gun is loose. Like I said don’t know if that’s normal or not. There were no leaks too. Also what size orifice is best for more pressure 3.0 3.5 thanks !
Nice review, exactly what I found with mine! Looks like you were able to fine one in your local Lowes! I was going to wait for your review but when I saw the sale for 79$ I jumped on it. I got the quick disconnects for the hose didn't see any need for the gun one yet, but also got the foam cannon upgrade insert you've talked about and going to get the longer hose next as I have totally been annoyed with the cheap hose and having to pull the cart around even to wash my tiny 914.

Sad I don't have Instagram. But turbo nozzles work by spinning a 0 degree nozzle in a circle which means multiple angles of attack. Breaks up dirt quicker.
yeah you need the lower orifice and use the mr pink to get that think lather. I have this machine and tried it without the 1.1mm and with and it's a world a difference! I would invest in that fancy foam cannon Josh did a review on before a new pressure washer.
He has a video on how to get quality foam with any electric. I use a $20 aliexpress foam canon with a modified orifice paired with a Ryobi 1800psi. In his video he explains the mod in detail
Here's a previous post I put on someone else's review of pressure washers when it comes to why electric pressure washers never usually meet the specifications.. I think I figured it out.. see my post below I copied and pasted. I think that the Craftsman showing 1800 PSI is actually putting too much pressure on the motor.. The reason why they always show a max meaning 1700 Max 2000 PSI max etc . They're telling you that's the max PSI that is recommended for that motor and machine on a constant basis.. You put that orifices on the greenworks and you got the same reading of over 1,800 PSI on a 1700 machine I would say if you use that constantly with the green works it would do damage to the motor You're putting too much pressure on the motor.. That's why most of these quick connect pieces are usually well below their max PSI rating around 1500 to 1600 when measured. They are keeping it safe so they don't cause the motor to get too hot and blow the seal and break the machine. I just don't think people understand what they mean by when they say MAX IT'S ACTUALLY FOUR THE PROTECTION OF THE MACHINE THE MAX SAFE PRESSURE THE MACHINE CAN DO.. A machine rated for a higher pressure say 3,300 PSI which it will never be able to achieve when it comes to electric without 220v means it just has a better motor they can take a lot more abuse.. Maybe what I wrote below can explain it better.. ------------------ I THINK I UNCOVERED THE WHOLE ELECTRONIC PRESSURE WASHER MYSTERY.. WHY DO THEY SAY THEY'RE RATED AT 3300 PSI OR HIGHER AND NONE OF THEM CAN DO MORE THAN 2,000 PSI!! WELL HERE'S MY OPINION MAYBE SOMEONE CAN CORRECT ME!! And I'm giving my opinion because nobody not any of these so-called experts have have offered any useful information, contacted the companies, other than telling everyone they're lying.. I think it's a pretty lazy way of giving your opinion. Here I am not an expert at least giving a good explanation or suggestion.. OKAY SO... How come a electric 13 amp GREENWORKS 1600 PSI machine does the identical PSI with a 40 degree piece as a green works 14.5 2300 psi Also in the same example testing in Amazon 1800 watt motor 3300 PSI max 26gpm max machine ( 2600 PSI 2.0gpm continuous ) also only does 1600 to 1800 PSI with the 40 degree nozzle. Also note when you change the degree of the nozzle the PSI goes up a little bit.. OKAY SO HERE'S MY ANSWER!!! THE KEY IS THEY ARE GIVING YOU THE MAX!!!! They are telling you if you are using a nozzle that allows you to get to 3300 on the particular machine that you are using THE MOTOR CAN HANDLE 3300 PSI AND THE GALLONS PER MINUTE THEY TELL YOU!! ALL THEY'RE DOING IS TELLING YOU THERE'S BASICALLY A BETTER MOTOR IN THE MACHINE IF YOU CAN GET IT TO THAT PSI WITH THE PIECES THAT YOU'RE USING!! THAT'S IT!! But they're not providing you with those pieces that can get that machine to the specification that the machine can do.. they only give you the pieces that can get an electric machine to reach only around a max of 2,000 psi regardless of the motor.. So it is kind of lying.. but in a way if a machine can get 3300 PSI It has an 1800 watt motor and can handle high amps like 14.5 Even though It's not possible to get that high with an electrical setup.. YOU ARE BASICALLY PAYING FOR A BETTER MOTOR... That electrical machine that is rated for 3,300 PSI and a higher gallons per minute which you will never achieve It's basically a better machine.. So let's use the GREENWORKS for an example.. The 2000 PSI Max at 1.2 GPM. Basically what they're saying is that that motor can basically only handle 2,000 PSI max and put out about 1.2 gallons per minute. IF YOU FOUND A PIECE OR A NOZZLE THAT MADE YOU PUT OUT MORE THAN 2,000 PSI WITH YOUR PSI GAUGE YOU'LL PROBABLY DO DAMAGE TO THE MOTOR.. And yes IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE WHAT PIECES YOU PUT ON AND IT CAN CHANGE THE PRESSURE.. DO NOT JUST FOLLOW THE COLORS!! YOU COULD HAVE A 40° WITH A DIFFERENT ORIFICE SIZE!! THIS COULD CHANGE THE PSI!! AND IT CAN ACTUALLY DAMAGE CERTAIN GASOLINE MACHINES.. some gasoline machines don't have an automatic stop.. they're under constant pressure.. or maybe all gasoline machines are under constant pressure I'm a newbie at this.. ( THIS IS WHY WHEN YOU SEE PEOPLE REVIEW THE GREENWORKS 2000 PSI ELECTRIC MACHINE THAT HAS 14 AMPS THE PSI NEVER GOES ABOVE 2,000 WHEN MEASURED WITH A PSI GAUGE CONNECTED TO THE GUN!! THEY USUALLY ONLY READ BETWEEN 1500 AND 1800!! AND PEOPLE SAY WOW IT DOESN'T DO WHAT IT SAYS!! THAT'S BECAUSE THEY GIVE YOU THE PIECES THAT KEEP YOU UNDER 2,000 PSI SO IT DOESN'T BURN THE MOTOR OUT!!! YOU SEE IT MAKES SENSE NOW!! If they gave you pieces that brought the PSI to 2000 all the time The motor would overheat and the seals would blow!! They would rather be safe than sorry keeping the PSI well below 2000 THE MAX!!! So the bottom line is they're ACTUALLY NOT LYING!! Just because an electric setup can never get to 3300 PSI doesn't mean the machine could not handle it if there was a way to get there.. It's basically just telling you THE MOTOR CAN HANDLE THAT AMOUNT OF PRESSURE AND GPM. Anyway that's what I figured out.. and I think I'm right.. Was it so hard to explain this from a regular dude who's not an expert?

Great review !!
