      nathan ish cool
Nash’s HOF speech is not the night or video to talk about who is better than who. Nash deserves our utmost respect and love for how he changed the game, how dominant and talented he was over his NBA career, how unselfish he was, always thinking pass first, and helping his teammates get the ball at the optimal time in order to make the play. Often Nash made it easy for them and his bball IQ has to be admired. His work ethic too. His passing, leadership, offensive skill, court vision, shooting, scoring, efficiency, his actual teamplay in a team sport is humbling.
Steph Curry respects and admires Steve Nash as being a strong influence on how he molded his own game after and as one of the greatest passers and NBA PG’s
of all time. Above all Nash has character, humility, willing to mentor others (including the GSWarriors NBA champions and Kevin Durant also), and is a great person in addition to being an all time great PG.
Nash deserves a big thank you from us for the entertaining bball he brought to the game of bball.
Respect , well wishes and good luck in the next stage of his life!

Find something you love to do. Do it every day, be obsessed. Balance can come later.
Use your imagination, put pen to paper. Declare your intentions. Set small goals. Knock them off, set more goals.
Gain momentum, build confidence. Grow a deep belief. Outwork people, play the long game.
You don't have to be the chosen one. The secret is to build the resolve and spirit to enjoy the plateaus.
The times when it doesn't feel like you're improving and when you question why you're doing this.
If you're patient, the plateaus will become springboards.
Finally, never stop striving, reaching for your goals until you get there.
But the truth is even when you get there, even when you here on this stage.
Its the striving, fighting, pushing yourself to the limit every day that you'll miss and long for.
You'll never be more alive then when you give something everything you have.
    Thank You.

But if you think the MVP should go to the player who’s the best at making his team better, than Nash definitely deserved both.

Asian Boy you should know that defense is not the main criteria for the PG position.
Although Nash did Excell in taking charges, average in steals, zone and man/man etc. Sure many are better at D than him but Nash beats most in other more important categories all day. You can have 2-3 other players who are your defensive specialists.
Running an offense, getting teammates involved, passing first and scoring when needed, being efficient an all-time great with shooting/passing percentages, leadership, and helping the team win and your teammates succeed are all more important. Nash was average at defense, and other positions on the court have defense as being more important like the C, PF, SF positions, where rebounds, blocks, man to man and perimeter all factor in.

The best Canadian athlete ever IMO. No other athlete has defied the odds as much as Nash. You never see skinny white Canadians make it to the NBA.
He did it by hard work ethic. He improved every single year well into his 30s. At his peak with the Suns, he was the best offensive player to ever play in the NBA. Every single year the suns were atop the league in scoring, under Nash’s style. 50-40-90 club, leader of ASTs almost every year.
This man does not get the credit he deserves for how good he is offensively. Changed the game more than MJ and Shaq combined in regards to offensive play style.

Steve Nash just gets it. See how the first people he thanks are the fans, he understands there's no NBA, no sport without the people watching it. That's why you're my favorite player ever, Steve.

As a kid, Steve was modest, but multi-talented. Before Santa Clara, he excelled at soccer, but also played baseball and hockey, both of which he played quite well, especially hockey, in which his skating was his weakest part, but, he read the ice superbly and possessed an accurate wrist shot. In neither baseball nor hockey did Steven make starting all-star lineups, by which he proved great sportsmanship and team concept. Meanwhile, few opposing players in the latter two sports were much, or at all aware of his basketball development. Much of Steve's success is a tribute to his Parents, with his Father, John, bein' probably the nicest sport parent I met as the Parent of a Son, who absolutely dominated B.C. in both baseball and hockey from age-10 to-16, at which time mine went to The US to for hockey, while Steve was Santa Clara bound. Watchin' Steve on the ice from age-9 at Oak Bay Rec was a treat, as he and my Son would so entertain us. In short, Steven? You're quite a guy! A well-deserving guy!

Steve Nash has got to be one of the best Point Guards ever. Suns had decent stats before Nash came in, then Nash comes in and destroying other teams though the defense was a problem, but it did not stop Nash from winning games. I acknowledge him for being a one of a kind player. He is one in a billion.
