BSL - Making Work Pay: Strengthening Statutory Sick Pay consultation

Consultation on the percentage rate for those earning below the current rate of Statutory Sick Pay.
This consultation forms part of Government's commitment to strengthen Statutory Sick Pay. The changes introduced within the Employment Rights Bill will mean that for some lower earners, including those earning below the Lower Earnings Limit, their rate of Statutory Sick Pay will be calculated as a percentage of their earnings instead of the flat weekly rate. This consultation seeks your views on what this percentage should be, to ensure it provides a fair earnings replacement when these employees need to take time off work.
