  • This is a long term review of the Reylight Pineapple Mini flashlight in Titanium. It’s a small, aaa flashlight that can be powered by a specialized 10400 battery to produce a high output of 250 lumens. It uses a Nichia 219b emitter that had a neutral, warm 4000k light with a 92+ CRI.

    Thanks. You're the first person I've found to offer both positives and negatives on this light.

      Oh thanks so much. I’m making a review of the Mini Pineapple Max soon. It’s a 2x AAA mini pineapple

    I wish they made a Kizer Gemini with jade handles and an M390 blade I would be all over that. I love the gemini it’s one of the most underrated titanium flippers.

    I also wonder if you may have an update, now that they have released the new tail switch crown and emitter? Not necessarily a video request, but wondering if you have tried them.

      Is it a new crown that comes up around and protects the tailswitch? does it come standard on the newest models?

      @@JadeGeminiM390 my problem is I bought it 3rd party, I'd have to pay for repair and shipping and I probably will eventually but tbh I have better 14500 lights so I'd probably just give it away as a gift

    Get the Streamlight Microstream...same size as the Pineapple mini but you get 250 continuous with NO stepdown...it will run 1.5hrs of battery life at full lumens.

    • @JadeGeminiM390
      @JadeGeminiM390  Год назад +1

      Only issue is I’m not sure about the serviceability of batteries. I’m getting away more and more from devices that people sell to intentionally go bad and you have to buy a new device to get it to work instead of being able to have the right to repair.

    • @TheGrenadier97
      @TheGrenadier97 Год назад +1

      But there are stepdowns in the Microstream. It also doesn't take AAA or 10440 in a pinch. This was one reason why i get rid of mine, although i liked it in pretty much everything else.

    • @jimmywarren6685
      @jimmywarren6685 Год назад +1

      @@TheGrenadier97 Mine does not step down until the battery is dead. I have no use for a light that steps down. Get an extra battery or two for it and "in a pinch"...you have a battery. It is as easy to carry an extra of the OEM battery as it is to carry AAA batteries.

      I carry my microstream with an extra battery, but I’ve yet to need more battery life. Also, mine doesn’t seem to step down.

      @@JadeGeminiM390has the 30 second runtime for the 240 lumens increased? Or is it the same?

    • @JadeGeminiM390
      @JadeGeminiM390  11 месяцев назад +1

      No finally fixed. The old 250 would fall flat on its face. The AAA max can run continuously at around 190 and not drop. I always felt with the standard size mini pineapple that you could never get enough light because the turbo was more like an emergency since it would instantly drop off after 30 seconds. I’ve ran this for like 15 minutes and it hasn’t dropped it off on the medium mode which is about 200 lm. And the high is 500ish Lumen ls

    • @TheDavidSilva
      @TheDavidSilva 11 месяцев назад

      @@JadeGeminiM390 how long does the 500 lumens run for? And does the AAA give you the 500 runtime? Or just the 10400 battery?

    • @JadeGeminiM390
      @JadeGeminiM390  11 месяцев назад

      Just the 10880 battery on the max will provide this output on turbo and the long 200 Lumen runtime longer than 10 mins on medium. The 2 aaas only provide around 90-120 lumens on high.

    Thanks to your video, I actually canceled my order for the Pineapple Mini. Sure, it has a nice high CRI emitter, good build quality and a small form factor great for EDC, but… eh.
    The usability is simply not good. You get, as you said, a mere 30s of the 240lm. And apart from people’s experiences, where does it say this? NOWHERE. Not even on ReyLight’s website. No chart, no word, no nothing about the runtimes on any mode, whatsoever. And to top it all off, this thing doesn’t have ANY indicator for the remaining battery life. How am I supposed to say when this thing runs out? I can’t. With mixed usage, no-one can. No indicator and no tested run times, it’s a complete gamble.
    And how the hell does this thing only run 30s on 240lm? I’ve got a tiny key chain light Nitecore Tini2, that tiny ass thing can run 500lm for 15 MINUTES. How in the world can this only work for 30s on 240lm? It’s just pathetic!

      Plenty of light for my daily use without going to the highest setting. Any step down in turbo mode is to avoid overheating, I imagine. I enjoy it for the quality build and feel and that mine is made from brass.

      It wasn't made to be a crazy bright light with long run times. It's more of a good quality good looking light that works good and is programmable with a great emitter. I carry my olight baton 3 pro daily for work and the baton 3 other times but carry this pineapple mini all other times. Great light once you get used to the programming. (Which isn't hard at all)
      It's more for light enthusiasts
