This is an amazing video! It's super helpful. I'm new to 40k and picked up Tau. Every match I play I get the feedback that I placed terrain in a bad way and now it makes sense why.
This is the content I was asking for! (Love everything you're doing, still!) And especially as a Knights player the big difference example was a Big Think!
there's a limit of half your points/half your units. So depending on your list balance and how you want to possibly inhibit your T1 if you get first. FIRST IS KING, predominantly.
I don’t get it, i thought that after you deployed terrain you rolled to see which edge was attacker/defender and then had to deploy there? So doesnt that mean crazy setups or risky terrain could backfire if you dont win the roll to choose your setup?
@@improbablewargaming gotcha, I’m looking at the leviathan chapter approved cheatsheet, it says step 5 is creating the battlefield and then step 6 is determine attacker defender so it seems like terrain is supposed to happen before finding out what edge to deploy at. Is this confirmed anywhere officially?

so the defender and attacker are rolled after knowing what mission you're playing. then places terrian, them armies, then play. hope that helps.

@petersmith1728 I have done a lot of events and never seen it like that except gw events which are not player placed.
