I've been flashing custom roms ever since I can remember having my old old Galaxy J7 2016, it had Marshmallow way back when I received it and now it has Android 10. I've been flashing all kinds of roms and it's safe to say, they're save. And if you don't trust the xda developers for providing you custom roms because you have privacy concerns, then just stick to your bloatware stock Rom which are even easier of being tracked. If you don't trust me, you can ask Google. But can you really even trust Google at this point?

I trust google much better than the random guy over the internet. Because if the random guy over the internet was better than google, he would be already working for them.
If you want to find cons of custom roms google will guide you in that direction. Don't go in one direction. Before reaching to any conclusion, check both sides.
Custom Rom really puts you in an admin mode, well if its rooted you can just remove and change things you want

custom ROMs are just a dream to have. I started with the moto g2 back in 2014 and i installed so many roms on so many phones like moto g1,e1,e2 nexus 5 nexus 5x redmi 5a, yureka, samsung note 3, and the first to see the new android version for the old phones than anyone else and also feel like a pixel options due to so much customization is very very happy way to use my phones. I feel funny when youtube reviewers show stock rom features which are there in the ROMs since a long time and it was always crazy to feel how far i was with the phone i had. android is really a place to be.
But i switched to iphone se few months ago to stick to stock as i invest so much time on this habit of trying new ROMs i forgot to live the phone as it is. but will surely buy a old phone like redmi series or poco f1 or any snapdragon mid range series phones in few months and install the ROMs and feel like heaven again. Pity that i found this channel so late.

Thank you very much for clearing my long time doubt. I have rooted my K20 and but even after enabling "Magisk Hide", my bank app does not work recognising as "tampered"
you need
1. the latest canary build for both magisk and magisk manager
2. enable magisk hide for you banking app
3. use the option in magisk manager to change the app package name
4. use an app like ice box to freeze the magisk manger app

Offical custom ROMs may not have keyloggers and backdoors installed in them.
Any other source of custom ROMs( Telegram groups, random forums, blogs, websites) are full of spyware backdoor, keyloggers and Cryptominers
Yeah there is also fake groups on telegram were there profile is like , evolution x official and bootlegger os official , if you click any link in that type of fake group you will be directed to a unsafe site that might empty your phone balance and net data , one time i fall for that trap . now i learned my lesson and uninstalled telegram app for ever 😅😂😂😂😂
I think custom rom like havoc,PE lineage are far better than the bloated ads filled ui.

Dude, I never had any Netflix problem, i can even download it from playstore and use it no problem. I'm on havoc android 10 with magisk installed. (From past 5+ years I've been on custom roms )

if u install a rom first u will find it fast impressive and much comfortable i installed much more than 6 roms in my mobile and use it in daily basis.. and i installed rr to lineage and much more the same thing happens with the durability of tume it becomes laggy apps just crash anytime. screen off and on automatically custom roms are only usable for 1 or 2 month

I believe it has something to do with kernel. I had PE rom with beast kernel and Netflix was available on the Play Store. Just yesterday I flashed the rom again but with fenix kernel this time and wasn't able to find Netflix.

I have been using resurrection remix for years now, one of my favourite ROMs to install on my phones.
i used to be rr fan
but from android pie im using pixel experience rom
I use RR for approximately half of month , but found some bugs
Such as I didn't get full WiFi speed since i flash this ROM ,I was getting half of my top speed🤣
And here i was slanging my ISP 🤣
I think the Netflix problem arises when you root the custom rom,not when using the custom rom without rooting.Am I right???

It ended up my phone being useless it didn't happened over night but eventually on the long run, i experienced some hardware problem. Idk what caused this but my phone is useless now. I really want to use a pixel experience rom on my poco cuz i hate miui, but im afraid that i will mess something up.
