The press conference itself was definitely planned to look impromptu from commentary to camera work, I think it was executed to perfection. Oh, come on Bully! This was Creative Writing 101: show them what they want, then convince them why they can’t have it. And, yeah, things probably changed when Brock and Punk were suddenly out - but I doubt they changed much, Rock likely taking the role of Punk or Brock pulling rank/contract to challenge Roman - they also both have their stories with Heyman - Brock vs Roman has history. You could argue, “But the audience would think that’s bullshit!” Yeah, that’s the point. It’s like the eighth time they did a variant of this storyline going into Wrestlemania in the past 25 years. And if you look a little closer: 1. Cody “finishing his story” was always the marketing for Wrestlemania. 2. No Escape/Elimination Chamber would have yielded challenger 2, what do they do if Cody’s challenging Seth? Challenge Seth too? 3. WWE manufactured the “WeWantCody” hashtags and chanting. Do you really believe WWE in 2024, a company that plans out everything, and starts planning out Wrestlemania right after Summerslam, is suddenly going to wing it for Wrestlemania? Come on, man! And no, this isn’t just “you’re saying that after the fact” because people, including those on your RUclips channel, were saying it earlier. You got worked! Don’t be embarrassed by it with this “they don’t know what they’re doing yet!” BS -, embrace it! It’s what’s fun about wrestling.
Holy shit with this show. Given the long track record of Bloodline storytelling, and the family tree they showed with Rock as High Chief, did it not occur to y'all that maybe Rock stepping over Roman is planting the seeds for how you get to Rock/Roman eventually? Roman drops to Cody and Rock turns on him or takes his place? Lord.
Was thinking the same thing when the press conference went down. It make sense, have Rock overshadow Roman, Roman loses the title at Wrestlemania so The Rock challenges Roman for Tribal Chief since Roman lost, there blood in the water. Can either have Roman vs Rock at Summerslam or next year Wrestlemania
The WrestleMania Press Conference was probably one of the best things the WWE has done in a long time, I’m not sure why the Busted Open Crew is so down on it. Also Brian Gewirtz ( the Rocks main writer ) has been giving bread crumbs about this storyline on social media before the online backlash for Cody so maybe Bully is upset he got worked. Either way who cares it’s still great! Maybe with Punks injury it was a slight pivot but also the Rock saying long gamer too I think there’s been a plan in place they’ve just been flexible. Really disappointed with the Busted Open Crew, we’re getting Cody and Roman and the Rock and Rollins involved for Wrestlemania, I’m not sure what there is to complain about and nitpick.
It's actually surprising that Bully and Henry are that off. It's clear as day that ROCK is HEEL now and Cody is beating Reigns at Mania. People think ROCK is CENA or something and he's the ULTIMATE BABYFACE. ROCK has been as HEEL as he was BABYFACE in his career. It's just been decades he hasn't been HEEL that's why people seem to think that he's not comfortable being HEEL. ROCK been HEEL from the start. He's was actually starting to become a bit phony as a BABYFACE lately. He'll be a much more genuine and free as a HEEL. They got it right with ROCK being in front of Reigns too. ROCK is the REAL BOSS now, he's not just a talent anymore. Rollins had a good promo on RAW last night. He'll be part of the story up until Mania. He might be part of it at Mania too. Hell they could even do Rollins ROCK on night 1.
Not all 3 of y’all acting like fans aren’t already sold on the angle and Bully acting like The Rock wasn’t fully anticipating the boos. He cut the “heel” promo on the McAfee show. While I agree this wasn’t the initial plan, give them credit for pivoting
I am shocked that you guys don't get it. They knew what they were doing with Rock when he took the lead. That will be how that arch goes Rock not knowing his role. That was clearly on purpose. Rock will cause Roman to lose or wine but it will set up Summerslam. When they fight someone has to be a face and it can't be the Rock but they can turn it to Roman easier making the Rock a bigger heel
Wwe can make the rocky Babyface again, how do they achieve that they can have Roman turn on the Rock while he's stiill heel, it obvious Roman will retain at mania and pull a turn on the Rock after that.
With the most respect to Bully, there's a big difference between 'they knew this was what they were doing from the very beginning' and 'they knew exactly what they were doing that night'. Nobody serious came out of the presser saying the former, but many people - correctly - were saying the latter. The plan for Mania is set. Obviously so. They wouldn't have locked in Cody vs Roman for the title if everyone wasn't committed to it and all the building blocks around it. They wouldn't send Cody, the company's top babyface, out on stage to call BS on Rock/Roman if it wasn't the expectation that Rock would get booed, and they sure as hell wouldn't call an audible to do it in the middle of the presser. They now have two months to finesse the details and make whatever the plan is work, and we saw the first steps of that with Seth on Raw. Will it be good? No idea. It might not be. Is it a pivot from the original plan? Almost certainly. Were they 100% in control of what they were doing at the presser? Yes. We're just not being given the full picture yet. Tune in this Friday/Monday to find out what happens next etc. Again, all due respect but... I'm surprised how much the guys come off as marks here.
Nah it still doesn't make sense. Nobody cares about Seth. He's clearly a Punk fill in at best. He makes no sense and shoehorning the shield crap is nauseating.
@@zacharymannik3498 you're telling me Seth needs to protect Cody from Roman, "be his shield", when Seth was the one who fucked up the shield? That makes sense? It's a shoehorn move from H and nothing more. This clearly wasn't the plan. God help us if it was lol
@@alexanderletzing6705 it makes sense because cody had noone to help him last year and now there is also the rock. The point is cody just cant go out by himself against the whole bloodline again and expect a differant result. Cody and seth have history through mutual respect and this also brings jey and samj to come to codys aid. Tell me you didnt actually listen to the promo without telling me you didnt.
what i know for sure is that wwe managed to kill 2 birds with 1 stone with that press conference, they made cody as the ultimate babyface of the company while also slowly build up rock vs roman feud by adding those small details like made the rock look bigger than roman on camera or the rock walking ahead of roman like he is in charge of the bloodline, etc.. i think wwe knew what they're doing, not to mention rock's statement at pat's podcast, or what he said in that espn show that he is a long gamer, they clearly want to build heat, and thats why this was one of the best wrestlemania press conference i've ever seen..
I normally agree with Bully and crew’s insight on situations like these, but I think their off on this one. The Rock has been leaving breadcrumbs on all the social platforms for months about playing the long game and etc. This is a 2 year saga written out like a Movie with the Help of Brian G, Paul Heyman and Triple H. The Goal is to have Roman vs The Rock next year with the best story telling we have ever seen. Yes they will call audibles when people get hurt etc. But they knew what they were doing to the point I believe they would have the people you reached out to would be informed to give you a run around answer.
Yeah, I was with Bully's points last week, but based purely on the actions on the night, the podcast earlier in the day introducing the 'Cody crybabies', introducing the family tree and The Rock legitimately saying 'it doesn't matter what you think' to the people and meaning it, the slap, the backstage altercation with HHH. We can speculate as to whether they were going to go this way with Cody after THAT Smackdown segment, but by the night, Rock was supposed to be a heel. That doesn't mean that The Rock wasn't irked by the reaction from the fans. Let's not forget that this is a man who has set himself up as having the greatest PR in the world, hasn't been booed really in wrestling in nearly 20 years, and has been in Disney and kids films, is great in interviews. Boos are not natural for him anymore, so it probably was jarring. The other alternative is that Rock actually just played it to perfection. I'm not saying he's the greatest actor in the world, but he was much better as doing the dramatic arts in the wrestling ring. This actually is his greatest canvas. I know it's unprovable, but I think it's highly likely you're wrong on this one.
In my opinion I think Roman looked the way he did because this is all building to the future story of the 1 on 1 match at SummerSlam or even survivor series since they both debuted there between the rock and Roman. They team together at Mania but it’s going to break down due to Roman realizing that the rock has slowly taken his place at the head of table. This leads to Roman going from the biggest heel to a baby face cause no one is going to want the rock to beat roman
I believe The Rock & Cody planned this when they spoke to bring down Roman at WM 40. Seth was looking at Rock & talking top him. Roman is playing little brother to the Rock to set up Rock vs Roman at WM 41. If you looked at the Bloodline graphic, Roman is not labeled as "Tribal Chief" but Rock is labeled as a "High Chief" 💯
Bully I disagree with you boss. This was planned & I love it. WWE is doing it right & I love it. Turning Rock heel is exactly what this story needs. Now Paul can sneak out the backdoor & manage the new up & coming star. I thought after my guy passed away I wasn't going to watch WWE anymore. This storyline is looking to be a good one.
Honestly having the rock and roman holding both world titles coming out of mania would be crazy and have my eyes glued to the tv following up on raw and smackdown. Only problem is Cody absolutely gets buried as a result and he needs to finish the damn story at mania otherwise he goes to the back of the line. I think rock vs seth would be crazy and he if he happens to beat seth that could lead to a slew of potential things but cody has to win at mania imo.
I think there was a pivot due to the backlash but I think it happened on the Raw before the press conference. That was when they started acting like Cody had never made a decision. By that Thursday they had their new plan for Rock to go full heel on the McAfee show and when it got to the press conference they were on track and got exactly what they expected.
Just starting this weeks podcast, but I get the feeling the WWE writers are 100% with their plans, storytelling and direction between Royal Rumble and Mania. I do not think they are pivoting, and I think any press they are getting is free advertising for their original plans.
The bottom line is... if Punk hadn't gotten injured, we wouldn't be having these conversations. Punk vs Rollins would undoubtedly be headlining night one, and people would be very invested in that. Rollins wouldn't be so lost. My only thought is, they had to have some sort of plan or idea for Rollins before Punk came on board. Am I wrong?
Seth does clap back with good responses and to say he doesn’t is false. He clapped back at Roman during the press conference and attacked rock on stage. Seth had a fantastic promo the week before and an even better promo this week. “Wife shoes but I run laps around you” “glad to see you showed up to work for once”. We mustn’t forget that Roman has NEVER beat Rollins 1 v 1. Imo that’s why he got the new belt and that’s the angle they should be using going into Mania. Seth v Rock, if Rock wins he can say he beat someone Roman couldn’t. Cody v Roman, Cody wins and Roman beat Cody last year which Seth couldn’t do either.
I disagree with their take about Seth at the press conference. I think that it was immediately obvious that the previous battles between Seth and Cody was leading to an alliance. Also Seth dropped an F-bomb at the Rock which is no small deal
The rock stepped in front and made roman look secondary because i guarantee it will be put into play that he is taking over as head of the table. Thats what will be the catalyst that leads into roman vs rock.
Wow I didn’t realize how much I liked Seth Rollins but mark and Dave helped me realize it I thought it was obvious coming out of the conference they are building to a tag either at the chamber or mania
I keep hearing that Seth being there doesn't make any sense. This is Roman Reigns we are talking about....nobody knows Roman better than Seth Rollins. Seth being there makes all the sense in the world. We aren't gonna see Dustin come over from AEW to help Cody so the second best option is Roman's "brother" Seth. I don't know just yet how they can fix Seth and his championship problem, but I can see either a tag team match happening or Rock vs Seth happening. Seth said last night that he can be Cody's shield. That makes sense. The Rock is fully embracing his heel turn. And I think something will happen at Mania to start the Rock vs Roman match at Mania.
Listen I've been a wrestling fan since 1973 in Savannah Georgia area I learned a long time ago these men and women get in and out the ring to entertain I understand that but as a fan you got understand at the end of the day it's not going to matter who won or lose it's keeping your people safe
So I need to now hear their thoughts on Seth after Raw last night cause that was one of Seth’s best promos ever imo the last line when he said “There is not a man on earth that is more uniquely suited to be your SHIELD” gave me chills that was so good and now I’m really intrigued to see how Seth will play into this story with Cody Roman Rock will we get a tag match at the Chamber will we get Rock vs Seth at some point and also who is gonna win this damn Chamber match cause it’s lookin STACKED Drew Randy Knight Bobby so far out of those four I would put my money on Drew of course but also can they shock everyone and have LA Knight win and go to Wrestlemania against Seth for the World Heavyweight Championship 👀
To add to what Mark Henry said about Seth speaking up for himself, there was a point at the end of the exchange when Seth is yelling at rock and Roman and I’m pretty sure he said to Roman “I’ll run circles around You!” Or something to that effect. It wasn’t on the mic though so I guess it doesn’t really matter.
Thank you BULLY! Thank you for bringing up Friday when Cody clearly said no to Roman at Mania! The plan all along was The Rock vs Roman, there’s a reason why they started slowly bringing up Rock on SD & Raw
Funnily enough when they were talking about Seth needing to grab his moment and shine the light on himself, i immediately thought of the very end of presser when Punk managed to do it in about 20 seconds saying he would have had punched the Rock all while the Rock was standing there glaring at him 😂 that's a pro right there.
I'm glad Bubba said what I've been thinking, because my buddies keep saying that everything is intentional and just enjoy the ride. But they have the tool to make this better and right now they seem directionless and it's hurting Cody and Seth.
I COULD NOT AGREE WITH YOU MORE. EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT HOW AWESOME THIS IS AND HOW SMART THEY ARE. I FEEL LIKE THEY ARE CLUELESS. THIS IS NOT GOOD BOOKING BUT INDECISION.THERE SHOULD NOT BE A TAG MATCH ON DAY ONE THEN THE MAIN EVENT ON DAY 2. TO ME, THAT IS LUDICROUS. WWE IS MAKING IT SEEM THAT THEY HAVE A LONG PLAN BUT THAT IS A LIE. CODY WAS NOT, 2 WEEKS AGO, SUPPOSE TO WRESTLE ROMAN. THE WRITING IS AWFUL
With Seth's injury, I'm expecting him to lose his title as the opening match of Night 2, if they do the Cody & Seth vs Roman & Rock tag match on Night 1. Seth will face the winner of the Elimination Chamber (Drew) but Damian Priest will cash in and leave with the title. I think that will set up Damian vs Drew for the following PLE. This will allow Seth to get whatever surgeries he needs, and time to heal. Seth comes back and goes off on everyone. They disrespected him. Treated him like his title reign didn't matter. Now he is going to settle some scores. This could be a major heel turn or we could get a Roman vs Seth grudge match at next years WrestleMania, depending on how long Seth takes to heal.
Yes. I have been saying Rock vs Seth night 1 and The Rock wins but night 2 during Cody vs Roman Rock stops Solo and Jimmy from helping Roman, an Roman loses creating the Head of the Table feud. Leading up to mania I have Paul Hyman trying to counsel Roman but Roman not listening and losing at Mania he loses everything and everyone.
Or Solo & Jimmy comes out. Jey & Rock comes out to stop them. Then when they least expect it Jey super kicks Cody. Roman wins and Jey reunites with his family.
I'll say at this point TKO needs Triple H there. They're trying to make matches like it's boxing or mma. This isn't the 80s and 90s with Vince making these types of decisions. It was much easier to manipulate those who were adults during the 80s and 90s. They were easy marks. But the ones who grew up watching and attending in the 90s are a different breed of fan that changed things. We made it cool to be a heel, if you were good and entertaining enough. The Rock is too far removed from wrestling to be making these kinds of calls. You could tell at that press conference that Rock wasn't expecting the amount of boos he was getting, with that manufactured Hollywood audience. That wasn't your typical ticket buying audience in mass attendance.
When Mark told the story of The Rock telling Mark to step aside you look to big right there. I believe Mark. It is fascinating to hear story from these two legends that actually was there when Rock was coming up.
I'm going for The Rock to somehow cost RR the title at WM thus finishing this whole story line for CR and setting up a program for the Head of the Table position match.
originally they didnt expect rock to face backlash for getting codys spot, but no way they didnt expect rock to get boos at the press conference, the whole deal began because punk got injured leaving wwe having to put cody in to take over seths title after mania, now with the way its all blown up they have put cody back with roman and are now trying to find a suitable alternative for seth to face who will become champion as i believe seth will take time off to rehab his injury after mania, rock will 100% figure in the wrestlemania plans but inwhat capacity reains to be seen, also will be interesting to see how priests cash in comes into play as this could be when it finally goes down
They're back pedaling from they're major fk up. All they're doing is digging a hole if they don't clean this up. The worst fk up actually was WWE 2K24 finish your story.
I fully agree with the consensus in the video about Seth looking very out of his element in that press conference. They will find a way to "fix" this, but WWE foreshadowing a tag team match at Mania between Cody / Seth and Rock / Roman is just not doing it for me.
It's either going to be The Rock vs. Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes or The Rock vs. Roman Reigns Night 1 & Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns in Night 2. Maybe the nights of the singles matches get switched, but I feel that was the plan all along and Triple H wants to confuse us.
20:10 . I enjoyed every minute of that. It makes sense Why every time a huge star come back, Rollins get frustrated. Cause he knows he’s not on the same level as Cody, punk, or rock
I love you guys, you know the business but here you are not thinking.. That bloodline tree that The Rock pulled up says high chief under his name. Everything that happened between him & Reigns was supposed to happen that way. The Rock is a real life high chief of their family and it's being used now in a storyline. The Rock is the only man who Roman Reign will & has to respect.
Bully make some good points but one of the things I think he misses is that the fans do know what they want they want Cody versus Roman. Seth was there because he made a challenge to Cody to face him for the title at mania. He's also had issues with the rock in the past and with Roman so he had a place out there. Bringing up the fact that it's a secondary title was risky but I think it worked out in this sense, Seth gets the fire back saying at least I defend mine.
I don't think this was the plan from the beginning I think that rock came in with an idea thinking it would help and it was a big mistake. So at the press conference I think they did a great job in fixing it and building the drama and with rock biting into his heel character and turning heal again was absolutely brilliant. However I agree with bully on one thing Seth should not have been there at that time I understand what they were trying to do with him but I don't think they knew the reaction that would happen and I don't think that they comprehended the fact that Seth would be made to look bad I thought they think that it would help Seth and Cody both look strong to build towards the 2 on 2
i tell u how to fix it...when cody fights roman ...they will try to cheat and help roman ..have SETH come to help to mke sure it doesnt cost cody, but when i say SETH..i mean the ARCITECH with the war gear and bulletproof vest on!!
It felt like that time when Roman won the Royal Rumble and Rock came out to save him. Rock feels like Roman's big brother in the WWE universe right now.
My take. They wanted Cody to give the spot to Rock and Cody fight Seth. People lose their shit, and they used the press conference to pivot based on the reaction. But, now Seth has no program to work except for being Cody's cheerleader.
This was definitely changed cause of the fans in the rocks first promo back he was coming after Roman as a face when he said should he sit at the head of the table that was a face rock they changed it and turned him heel to give cody the match back
Seth is standing there bc he was waiting on Cody’s decision on which belt he was challenging for, made perfect sense why Seth was there. Rock totally set up his heel turn earlier that day on Pat MacAfee show calling Cody Crybabies letting that run all over the internet. All that was setup perfectly on that day of the press conference by WWE now u can say that that they didn’t know after the backlash on SmackDown 6 days before

Busted opens a bunch a bitter snarks alotta time which we devour
Especially Dave@@williambrewer4005
So the winner of the Chamber gets the title shot when?
Because they out of touch
The tribal chief will retire as champ 🏆 he's almost @ 5 years
@@jeromebass7878 No he won’t lol and he’s not almost at 5 years as champ he’s barley at 3 what are you on about mark
@@PrincessMistressBootsASMR it's 24 now he became 🏆 end of 2019 MA'AM
@@jeromebass7878 try 2020 at Payback and you might be right finally 😂😂😂😂
@@PrincessMistressBootsASMRFor the record, that means he's been champion for approximately 3 years and 5 months, not 5 years.
Rock is a movie actor who knows how to work a camera
Exactly!
Lol that’s literally what Hollywood Superstars do!
That’s why I respectfully have to disagree with what Bully was saying here
Bully's pride was hurt 💀💀💀
Well here after raw.. Seth being there now makes sense
Bubba is clueless
Nah it still doesn't make sense. Nobody cares about Seth. He's clearly a Punk fill in at best. He makes no sense and shoehorning the shield crap is nauseating.
@@alexanderletzing6705your about the only person who thinks that. The promo was fantastic and it makes perfect sense.
Had an amazing time at The Gramercy Theater. Great seeing Bully, Mark, Tommy, Don, Sam, Gabby and of course the man of the hour Dave.
what i know for sure is that wwe managed to kill 2 birds with 1 stone with that press conference, they made cody as the ultimate babyface of the company while also slowly build up rock vs roman feud by adding those small details like made the rock look bigger than roman on camera or the rock walking ahead of roman like he is in charge of the bloodline, etc.. i think wwe knew what they're doing, not to mention rock's statement at pat's podcast, or what he said in that espn show that he is a long gamer, they clearly want to build heat, and thats why this was one of the best wrestlemania press conference i've ever seen..
I normally agree with Bully and crew’s insight on situations
like these, but I think their off on this one. The Rock has been leaving breadcrumbs on all the social platforms for months about playing the long game and etc.
This is a 2 year saga written out like a Movie with the Help of Brian G,
Paul Heyman and Triple H. The Goal is to have Roman vs The Rock next year with the best story telling we have ever seen. Yes they will call audibles when people get hurt etc. But they knew what they were doing to the point I believe they would
have the people you reached out to would be informed to give you a run around answer.
That press conference was perfect
Bully Ray got CTE
Bingo!
Rock absolutely leaned into the heat from the crowd
This show is the greatest thing to happen to Wrestling. The break downs of how the business works along with the fan reaction is amazing.
Wait, y'all wanted Cody and told everyone to flood social media with it and now we have Cody but you're still bitching???
Fickle fans!
I literally cannot disagree with any statement in this video... spot on 100%
I wouldn't even call Roman a costar. He immediately disappeared into Rock's shadow
😂😂
The people get to choose what happens and who turns heel in wrestling these days. Its called cancel culture
Need a fatal four way...cody...rock ...romane....seth... Combine their titles
I disagree with their take about Seth at the press conference. I think that it was immediately obvious that the previous battles between Seth and Cody was leading to an alliance. Also Seth dropped an F-bomb at the Rock which is no small deal
Yep I’m an actor and y’all nailed it!! Love it!! Keep it going!! All 3 of you guys together are great!!!
The rock stepped in front and made roman look secondary because i guarantee it will be put into play that he is taking over as head of the table. Thats what will be the catalyst that leads into roman vs rock.
Makes sense to me
Roman bullied TF outta Seth. Seth had no comeback. Gunther needs to take Seth’s title.
Wow I didn’t realize how much I liked Seth Rollins but mark and Dave helped me realize it I thought it was obvious coming out of the conference they are building to a tag either at the chamber or mania
Heel Rock is hilarious what a way to make it more interesting.😂
That will probably lead to the head of the table angle. Roman will eventually take issue with Rock taking the spotlight as Bully and Mark said.
if i'm a wrestler in any stage of the game i'm listening to these guys talk about the business. They're giving you a handbook for success.
To add to what Mark Henry said about Seth speaking up for himself, there was a point at the end of the exchange when Seth is yelling at rock and Roman and I’m pretty sure he said to Roman “I’ll run circles around
You!”
Or something to that effect. It wasn’t on the mic though so I guess it doesn’t really matter.
You guys are great. 1000% right on everything. Best podcast out there
you're trolling right?
@@bugsbunny5960 are you?
This storyline has gotten so muddy since everything with Cody and The Rock started. It all just feels like we’re in limbo at the moment
Yeah sure different then last year..
I really want Rock vs Roman because that'd make the title mean something
@@HogRider_99 it’s the actual WWE Title what are you talking about
I love when Bully gets riled up. 😅
Seth was trying to be a Adrian Street
When Mark told the story of The Rock telling Mark to step aside you look to big right there. I believe Mark. It is fascinating to hear story from these two legends that actually was there when Rock was coming up.
I'm going for The Rock to somehow cost RR the title at WM thus finishing this whole story line for CR and setting up a program for the Head of the Table position match.
20:50 That is SO misleading. Seth literally shoved Rock and cussed him out
Yeah they’re forgetting facts. The trailer shows it’s gonna be a tag team match for night 1.
Rollins was cussing and yelling more than anyone.
😅😅Bully Ray keeping it real!!
originally they didnt expect rock to face backlash for getting codys spot, but no way they didnt expect rock to get boos at the press conference, the whole deal began because punk got injured leaving wwe having to put cody in to take over seths title after mania, now with the way its all blown up they have put cody back with roman and are now trying to find a suitable alternative for seth to face who will become champion as i believe seth will take time off to rehab his injury after mania, rock will 100% figure in the wrestlemania plans but inwhat capacity reains to be seen, also will be interesting to see how priests cash in comes into play as this could be when it finally goes down
They're back pedaling from they're major fk up.
Maybe the nights of the singles matches get switched, but I feel that was the plan all along and Triple H wants to confuse us.
to Mark. Maybe he should write Seth's script. Sure got my attention lol
20:10 . I enjoyed every minute of that. It makes sense Why every time a huge star come back, Rollins get frustrated.
Cause he knows he’s not on the same level as Cody, punk, or rock
Obviously didn’t see the Super Bowl advert
I think you guys were well off today with your views
I love you guys, you know the business but here you are not thinking.. That bloodline tree that The Rock pulled up says high chief under his name. Everything that happened between him & Reigns was supposed to happen that way. The Rock is a real life high chief of their family and it's being used now in a storyline. The Rock is the only man who Roman Reign will & has to respect.
The rock should let the young folks play fight
Can Dave wear a different Cody Shirt everyday til Mania?
Bully make some good points but one of the things I think he misses is that the fans do know what they want they want Cody versus Roman. Seth was there because he made a challenge to Cody to face him for the title at mania. He's also had issues with the rock in the past and with Roman so he had a place out there. Bringing up the fact that it's a secondary title was risky but I think it worked out in this sense, Seth gets the fire back saying at least I defend mine.
It’s pretty easy to see they’re setting up for a power struggle between the rock and either H, or Roman or both
Rocky knew they were going to boo. He leaned into the heel side earlier before the press conference at the Pat McAfee show
you can tell mark and bubba ray are jealous, so yall saying the press and event would of been better without the Rock
around......... HEEL ROCK>>>>>
The bloodline family tree graphic being made for this press conference tells me The Rock’s plan was always to side with Roman.
Mark Henry should be a writer.. those ideas were **chefs kiss**
I don't think this was the plan from the beginning I think that rock came in with an idea thinking it would help and it was a big mistake. So at the press conference I think they did a great job in fixing it and building the drama and with rock biting into his heel character and turning heal again was absolutely brilliant. However I agree with bully on one thing Seth should not have been there at that time I understand what they were trying to do with him but I don't think they knew the reaction that would happen and I don't think that they comprehended the fact that Seth would be made to look bad I thought they think that it would help Seth and Cody both look strong to build towards the 2 on 2
What they could’ve done is make it a triple threat match for both titles. Have Rock insert himself as the special guest referee
Not only The Rock expected the boos, he hoped that he would get booed, and even worked towards it by calling Cody’s fan crybabies.
I see it as a show of respect from Roman Reigns.
He feels like a kid again around the Rock, his elder who he’s respected since he was a kid.
i tell u how to fix it...when cody fights roman ...they will try to cheat and help roman ..have SETH come to help to mke sure it doesnt cost cody, but when i say SETH..i mean the ARCITECH with the war gear and bulletproof vest on!!
After the press conference, The Rock became the head of the table without even having the match.
Dave was spot on with Seth explanation 💯
It felt like that time when Roman won the Royal Rumble and Rock came out to save him. Rock feels like Roman's big brother in the WWE universe right now.
My new favorite podcast. Even if I disagree
Bully got something with the Rock and Roman winning Mania. What a crazy turn on the fans.
My take. They wanted Cody to give the spot to Rock and Cody fight Seth. People lose their shit, and they used the press conference to pivot based on the reaction. But, now Seth has no program to work except for being Cody's cheerleader.
Imagine if Mark was World heavyweight right now ? Rock wouldn’t of been like - hey hey hey ! Mark stand your ground 🤣
We have reached an unprecedented era where kayfabe has returned and everyone’s getting worked. Including the boys.
Night 1 . Roman and rock vs cody and Seth. Night 2 seth vs drew and Roman vs cody
Such a great podcast
This was definitely changed cause of the fans in the rocks first promo back he was coming after Roman as a face when he said should he sit at the head of the table that was a face rock they changed it and turned him heel to give cody the match back
Roman sits at head of the table, but Rock is one of the elders that solo spoke of in the past
I have a feeling that the CM Punk injury may be a work if they’re gonna be in Chicago right before Mania
Seth is standing there bc he was waiting on Cody’s decision on which belt he was challenging for, made perfect sense why Seth was there. Rock totally set up his heel turn earlier that day on Pat MacAfee show calling Cody Crybabies letting that run all over the internet. All that was setup perfectly on that day of the press conference by WWE now u can say that that they didn’t know after the backlash on SmackDown 6 days before
I feel like they are talking as ex wrestlers and not fans . All the fans I know thought the “press conference “ was fire
