Man… I love hearing from Mark Henry. Dude has a ton of wisdom not just as it relates to wrestling but life in general.
Agree, great guy
he’s so genuine, he’s a great dude
Yep. Totally agree. Mark is incredible.
He sugarcoating the reality of that promo because CM Punk is his buddy
Would love to see mark Henry back in WWE for the PC and recruiting
Mark Henry is definetly one of the better minds in wrestling. He’s seen and done it all. Love hearing from his perspective.
I like his takes. I do find it funny when he says stuff like, "I just want pro-wrestling!" then the next week he'll say "I dont care about all the moves and flips in-ring, give me stories!" A bit paradoxical and insulting to the ppl who listen, like we're all stupid and don't remember he said the opposide last week.
@@sithari518pro wrestling is stories
Done it all? He only ever worked for one company. Nothing in Japan, nothing in Mexico, nothing on the US or UK indies,
@@sithari518 That's Pro Wrestling. Building stories inside and outside the ring.
@@sithari518 Pro wrestling is stories. That isn't a paradox. I get what he means from the 2 examples you gave.
Mark and Bubba are such a great duo. Mark is so calm and talks softly, and Bubba has alot of intensity and energy. Really great combo
Mark talking about heart is translation to where did I peak as a performer. Punk wanted to be back in 2019 but WWE gave him Kurt Angle treatment. Rollins vs Punk in main event first night WM seems like a gimmie. Wouldn’t be shocked if they don’t as a test for him because why reward no show WM30
Bubba was one of the worst experiences in wrestling I've ever had, meeting guys. The dude is a legit asshole to fans, especially during his ROH run. He tried so hard to bully ppl into not chanting stuff he didnt want, even threw ppl out of the show solely for chanting stuff he personally didn't like. Total asshole and I get why so many of his fellow wrestlers call him a dickhead.
I was just thinking that they’re such a good radio team
I loved Mark Henry’s take on the “I’m home” part which so many people have rolled their eyes at
Mark Henry speaking good about WWE while working in AEW is awesome. Lets enjoy all wrestling!
Because it's just the "fans" and dirt sheets that bring up that nonsense.
Mark Henry just gives off this vibe like he's been through a ton of stuff in life and now he's just super grateful for all he's achieved. It's totally my jam, and I could chill and listen to him all day.
Mark in a Pink Blazer "retiring" and the swerve is still a great moment I will never forget.
Ngl, I could listen to Mark Henry talk for two hours a day, everyday. Such a joy to hear from him. Loved this dude for 26 years.
Honestly. I would love to see mark and bubba on a commentary team ! Love listening to them talk about wrestling
Mick talking about shifting gears and the difference Punk has had me thinking. Its not that other guys don't have a 5th gear, it's that they start in 5th. Punk starts low and ramps. His fued with MJF was the best AEW have had and it started by him literally walking into the ring, looking at MJF and leaving without saying a word. Most guys start a fued by screaming at each other and it's just 100% from the get go so by week 3 it already feels stale 😅
Good take!
Great take! The best minds play with the audience anticipation.
It was one of the things that made Jake Roberts so good. He noticed Hogan, Macho and others were always yelling and turned up to 100. So he started speaking softly, seriously, and making you pay attention to listen to him.
Lot of people shitting on that Home line. If dude didn't care, he wouldn't have said any thing about them. The Colt podcast wouldn't have happened. He wanted to be there. He's a wrestling fan. WWE is wrestling. Last 10yrs he's been like a dude that's had his heart broken. I believe he wanted to make peace and make it work there.
He is a huge wrestling fan, you could tell from his aew matches. Most of them had long tribute sequences to Brett or Shawn or Flair, etc. I think he loves that he could go back and that Vince wouldn’t be involved.
The reason I fell back in love with wrestling when my cousin showed me roh was I could see that people like punk grew up loving wrestling just like I did. I absolutely believe his heart was broken.
I didn't think I would feel this differently about seeing him in wwe vs aew. I like aew., I really do, but I can't deny what wwe means to me either
I feel this but I can never forgive WWE for killing a 20 yr streak to a talent who honestly didn't even like the business as taker did,and I can't love wwe or respect that brand ever again! I'm team aew now and I'm content as it made me a fan once again....and I'm sure Tony would never do that to his top talent,as WWE would..so I'll never let wwe go for that.....😏
@@Reign_Fire2022 Lesnar is a legend of combat sports in general. I don't agree that Taker's streak should have been ended, but I think hindsight shows Lesnar was an okay guy to do it.
Today were all home
@@Reign_Fire2022punk should have taken the streak
@@johnnysupreme5718Lesnar was ok, punk would have been legendary
I so hope that Henry can make his way back to the WWE.
The broken heart analogy Mark used was spot on. Never thought about it like that but very true.
You can tell it was from the heart and loved how he mentioned aj
I love this show and I was very impressed with the Ivar Bronson Reed match. Now I really impressed with how Bronson Reed carries himself and giving us a huge insight to working a show.
Let’s hope for the best n hope punk stays on good n can finish out a strong run n really get to go down as one of the best in the world
“A player in the game” and the leader of the ship is known as “The Game”. I’m freaking excited about the direction of WWE right now.
I've been following wrestling on and off since 1978. I never knew these two veterans had a podcast. I'm glad I found this and will now tune in regularly
They have a 3hour radio call in show on SiriusXM.
It's like sports radio for wrestling
Great show, dope to see bully and mark along with the entire busted open crew giving the in the clutch guys a platform amazing to hear
Facts
timestamp for the in the clutch guys apparence ?
Dope? How the fuck old are you?
@@maskk_onit’s not out yet
Love the ITC guys, was stoaked to hear about them being on the show. Watched Ross' reaction to it and he's on cloud 9
it's hilarious how the guy talked for five minutes and we're analyzing it like it's a State of the Union address! what a time to be a fan!
His last line he snuck in there about making money not friends is giving Rollins a line to work with.
That's kinda what I figured. It's gonna make the later altercations between the two even more interesting.
His entire aew run has given Rollins stuff to work with. Dude dissed WWE as recently as this year lmao too much ammo
@@GamingCreed47might also set up a heel turn down the line. Raw is rather heel dominated right now, but maybe, once there are more faces, Punk goes corporate, adjusted heel or something
He's gonna turn heel soon, he's gonna be like corporate austin in 2001, When he was going soft and suddenly turned heel
@@marathiboi96Seth Rollins + CM Punk in a modern day Two Man Power Trip? Hunter and Steve would look at that thinking these guys just copied us yet they're gonna make it work in their own way.
Watching Ivar vs Bronson was the kind of poetry in motion I like. Seeing big guys battle that are also agile and don't get gassed out is a rare, beautiful thing.
I love how when Mick talks, Mark and Bubba listen. All 3 legends, and I'm excited for Bronson Reed.
love these two guys. Mark and Bully are GOATS.. bless them both.
Bronson Reed should be a heel champion like Yokozuna sometime in the future.
I felt that the line "I am not here to make friends, I am here to make money" was something that he said off the cuff without alot of thought. Promo has ended, show was ending, he just wanted to have a throw-away line.
It was on wwe twitter instantly he had that line all along. Was a shot at aew. Was Cornette line about aew and the bucks refusal to work with him.
Either way, I don't think he meant it as if he's doing it to make money for himself, but rather make money for the company.
"It comes back to what Chief Jay Strongbow told us years ago, 'In this business you can make friends or you can make money'... I already got some friends, I'd like the money." - Scott Hall
it was def a shot at aew, his positive attitude backstage wanting with all the talent proved that
it's also something Scott Hall said a lot in interviews.
CM Punk has grown up a lot. I hope. If he is willing to come back to the WWE, you know he has shit together at this age. He’s got maybe 5-7 years, tops. He can’t be doing this forever like Flair, but he needs to make that money and leave on a high note. He owes us, himself, and his family, that much.
Never was one for Wrestling Podcasts, but I always liked listening to Bubba and Mark, cause they sound like those two uncles that have genuinely interesting stories to tell.
Wonderful show.
I just found this one, and another called "wrestling is cool" also here on RUclips.
"I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to make money" is saying a lot of things. It's "You don't have to like me -- I'll work with anyone, if it'll make money," and it's also a dig at AEW for the perception that it has a clique trying to call the shots.
Always great to hear from Mick, he has such great opinions on the business and his knowledge goes a long way.
I think Bully is a fantastic anchorman on this show. I wonder if this sort of presenting and compèring would translate onto being a Jim Ross/Michael Cole role on TV?
Always love seeing ,Mick Foley, 100% iconic Legend!
Every minute of this video is worth it. Great conversations.
First time watchin this Podcast and I absolutely love it! Real and genuine
Bully Ray has great questions and Mark Henry has deep wisdom. Such a great interviewing combo
Bronson Reed is such an amazing person and wrestler
Bully this is the best wrestling conversation I've heard in a long long time. Proper questions being asked. Nice one 😊
This podcast really hits different from all the other negativity shit you hear everyday.
I would love to have dinner with Mark and Bully and just talk about life and wrestling. I'm so happy I found this
I can't lie. I love that I just heard Reed speak on a 305 Live idea. I've waited for something like that FOREVER now.
Bronson Reed, Gunther, Ivar, Otis, Braun Stroman, Omos, Luke Gallows, Odyssey Jones, Sanga... And if the qualifying weight is 280. Then I believe Lesner fits. That's not a bad lineup for a Big Man tournament.
Dude talked about himself in WWE. Brought up his wife. Totally agree with his promo to not bring up his past company. New start and hopefully he doesn’t bring up AEW in this WWE run.
i think he will bring them up in a sneaky way but not too much.
Bronson Reed vs Ivar was match of the night for me. I haven’t watched WWE in a while so I’m not familiar and was thinking “maybe this was a bad matchup” particularly in the first 1-3 minutes when the crowd was dead - but I was wrong! Damn, as match progressed, the impact went up, the craziness went up, and the crowd volume went way up.
Love Mark's analogy, But of course Punk wants us to forget about his past controversy lol
THIS HAS BECOME MY FAV PODCAST ONLY JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS THE LAST PAST WEEK DAMN BULLY AND HENRY AND GUEST THAT SPEAK ABOUT WRESTLING IS AWESOME THANK YOU GUYS
Why would Punk talk about the Kenny and the Bucks, lol, most fans would be like, "whoooooo????".
Im so glad Mark could see that i was saying the same thing, you can see it in his eyes, just filled with Love he's so grateful to be back and the ppl blanketed him with Love his life is changed now, and Mark wise af
I think that last line about not being there to make friends, I think it was a direct shot at those who may be upset or angry that he's back. I think he's saying "Hey, if you're upset that I'm back, I'm not here to tiptoe around your feelings and try to be your friend, I'm here to do my job and get paid, not get all caught up in a bunch of drama."
that's what I thought as well
I definitely think it’s planting seeds for a heel turn. Because Seth Rollins called CM Punk a hypocrite earlier in the show only for Punk to cut a promo about how he’s happy to be back & he came back for the fans, but also say he’s just there for money.
@@reddragon0624 could be, if Seth and Punk duke it out I'm sure they would have probably the top 10 best rivalry matches of all time if not the top 5, We shall see what happens.
Yet he's the one who gets caught up in the drama lol.
CM Punk is good for business plain and simple...
I haven't watched wwe in over 10 years and I tuned in to see him. I think that says it all.
it's crazy that if you read Meltzer or X and if you listen someone that actually knows everybody involved in the AEW chaos and that was there it seems like there are two different realities
First time watching this podcast... awesome job and great to hear the last few comments from Mick on LA KNIGHT...YEAH
He was talking to Tony, in that context it makes sense. in the context of the promo that he cut, it was kind of odd, it felt like a separate sidebar
meanwhile tony wants to be friend to whole aew roster instead of being a boss
@@ar.michael8306 I mean he's the only person that needs that advice right? I didn't feel like CM Punk was talking to me when he said that
He was talking to tony and the kids.
Wwe rarely promotes people that aren't ready from nxt to the main roster. The kids normally get the shit kicked out of them in nxt and all the new guys that have come through all seem to be good workers.
@@shadow_realm47 oh hell yeah the longer Vince is out of the picture the more WWE is going to be NXT from 2018
The promo made sense for the situation. If Punk started rambling about AEW, 75 percent of the audience wouldn't have known what he was talking about.
And it takes a lot of balls to admit to his past mistakes and realize that WWE is his "home". But then again, a lot has changed since 2014. Vince isn't head of creative, wrestlers get time off now and the leadership is completely different.
Typical mark
AEW would likely be known by more than that
@@SnipingIsFun😂😂😂😂😂
75 per cent is a mass overstatement, a lotta people in the crowd had banners and posters of his aew logo, with many even wearing his aew merch and everyone knew about what happened with aew because of how much everyone was talking about it, he's def gonna talk about them in a promo at some point but didnt do it in his return promo because he didnt need to
@@yaseen9044 The 10 people who paid through the nose for hard camera facing seats and bothered to make a sign are dwarfed by the millions who watch ritually and have no interest in any other show. It's always been like that, they used to have lots of ECW signs in the crowd too despite barely anyone knowing what it was.
Bronson reed deserves a push. Such a hard worker and great at what he does!
That match was great. They were setting the bar for big men. We already know Bronson is a beast. Most impressive was ivar showing that he is actually really good as a singles competitor, showcasing his talent and skills
Mark analysis on Punk promo and his current state of mind is just brilliant, and show how much wise Mark Henry is.
I can’t wait for the ITC ent interview 🔥🔥
Although im young guy 22, i would like to say thank you . Y’all r all legends for what you’ve given to the business.😊
Didnt know this podcast existed What a cool team! Like you too guys both
Great chat, really loved listening to Bronson. In response to Mark and Mick talking Punk maturity......it seemed more like humility (I know most feel Punk doesn't have that as a human)
Great show as usual boys keep up the great work.!!
Henry's grey beard reveals the wisdom of a wrestling vet
The Velveteen Dream is to Triple H like what Shawn Michael's was to Vince. The Velveteen Dream can single-handedly save professional wrestling. Allister Black is Dreams rival but he can make unbelievable magic with so many others.
I am digging this. I like seeing them while they talk wrestling more than hearing them talk about wrestling on the radio. .
Great Great show Bully and Mark. someone is gonna feel the pain! Appreciate you Mark appreciate you Bully.
What a great cast love you Bully and Mark Henry, you guys are geniuses
Dude I had no idea Bubba Ray is this good at this. He sounds like he’s been in broadcasting for years
“Twitta instagram tik tok tic tac ya sistas aassss EVERYTHING “ I love bully ray 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂 I was weak
19:06 Great moment. Great line. The crowd’s reaction to it was awesome. Rhea sold it wonderfully. Just great stuff
Love the old Mid-South poster (still have the dvd) behind Mark and what looks like a Gene Simmons 'Axe' bass behind Bully Ray.
Henry is the man! 🙏
Mark’s interpretation of Punk’s promo is 10 times more resonant than Phil’s
Great show love the duo. Great flow. #Legends
bully ray and mark henry, thanks for your great wrestling matches..much love
Foley is on point. As a big AEW fan it was so frustrating that all the shenanigans with Punk consistently overshadowed other things.
AEW is dead🤣🤣🤣
First time listener. I enjoyed this so much. Thank you.
Its funny how the old school guys are adamant supporters of CM Punk (who was the epitimy of the "new school" vs the new school gatekeepers of current wrestling stars who seem to view punk as a "cancer" in any locker room. Old school wrestlers are keenly aware that what the majority of fans want to see and "react" too (overwhelmingly so) is what draws money.
Love listening to these two legends
This is a great take. Thanks guys
I just started watching the show and I love it even when there’s difference in opinions is so awesome to hear the insight to what these legends think about the business. It’s everything and the guys and girls today need to learn as much as they can while they can
The three men that I watched in WWE and TNA/Impact as a kid/tween/teen talking together (Bubba Ray/Brother Ray/Bully Ray, Mark Henry and Mick Foley). Priceless!
cm punk last line was im not here to make friends I'm here to make money facts lol
I love Bully Ray shocked look when Bronson Reed said it was the first time he wrestled Ivar XD
I think what we’re seeing is a character change… I feel like we’re going to end up seeing the “franchise” version of Punk. He’s not the voice of the voiceless anymore speaking truth to power, but more of the part timer now coming back to “steal” opportunities from hard working guys who are there. The angle is him living long enough to see himself become the villain. I’m cool with it.
mark Henry is a legend and so is everyone on this podcast , keep up the good work bully! ❤ from Australia
Great Video very informative!👍
I love this team. Mark Henry and Bubba Ray/Bully Ray! Great podcast, imo
You can't deny when these big guys do the moves they do, they get some genuine reactions from fans.
Good Afternoon Great Show Great Match Ibar And Sunami
Thanks for this great podcast I've been watching wrestling for almost 60 years
I could listen to mark henry talk about anything. Sweet southern voice and comes off as a wise man.
Scorched earth was the pipe bomb promo, when Punk was pissed off. Now he's older, he's wiser, and he survived that shitshow that is AEW. He's old school. He's here to put asses in the seats, not cause trouble in the locker room, like other poorly run promotions.
Edit: Damn Mark Henry is awesome.
Beautiful from Foley! Praise all round for Punk!
GOAT conversations!
Gotta Respect Bully Ray for Asking the Hard Question 8:18
Im glad to see Punk. Is he really any diffrent then others? Look at back stage in the 80's and 90's....
Taker had to create Wrestlers Court for a reason. Punk just wears it in his sleeve.
Welcome back Punk!!! GLAD TO SEE YOU!!!
Look at Hogan, Vince, Rock, Bret Heart, Ultimate Warrior....to just name a few. These guys were worse then Punk.
Wrestlers court existed before Taker.
Pretty sure Maven mentioned in his video about Wrestlers Court that Dutch Mantell was the person who came up with the idea. But nonetheless I do get where you're coming from overall and I agree.
Exactly.... The biggest problem with aew is not taking advice from Veterans which is the culture of wrestling locker room...
Veterans even call the spot during matches and if veterans allow you to call their matches, then it's huge... Cm punk is old school who follows this... Cm punks problem with wwe was ego clashing with ego not unprofessional behavior which aew has...
This chip on his shoulder made him second most popular star after Cena in this generation and that's not a small achievement..
WWE signing him just when they're about to sign new network deal makes sense... There's huge chance networks might throw low contract saying Vince is not running the show anymore and aew always trending in social media doesn't help either...
With cm punk they got a star who wwe tv audience recognizes, small mainstream presence and huge polarised figure in internet...
So with punk wwe can basically say "looks what's trending" to networks...
This is also huge blow to aew Locker room as reported their morale was down 😅... I mean if wwe locker room and management can get along with punk for business and aew not doing it and dropping the ball is crazy... Cm punk issue is with elite and friends and not everyone in aew locker room....
@@THUGPUTINYou said it perfectly! It’s about business. But these AEW super marks are incapable of comprehending.
@@THUGPUTINI agree and I commented elsewhere that it’s pretty sad that the AEW guys’ morale would be down just because punk got a new job after they ran him off and fired him. That means they expected him to never be able to go back to wwe and they were counting on him not working in wrestling anymore. Thats pretty pathetic, they didn’t want him. It shouldn’t matter where he goes.
For years, I just watched WWE pay-per-view last night was the first night in a long time. I actually watched Monday night war and enjoyed it
I can’t believe we get more updates from Foley on other channels rather than his own podcast 🤦🏻♂️
This video was fantastic!

Wow I really enjoyed this !
