Fun fact: there is a toad called the pumpkin toadlet that is literally the size of a fingernail. Due to its size its ears are super underdeveloped to the point that they can’t even hear the frequency of their own mating calls. Their balance is also really bad so when they jump they do like 5 flips in the air and land on their backs 😭 they fail at literally everything it’s a miracle they’re still alive
Also their bones glow. For some reason.

I live in Australia and as a little kid I would always look forward to the rare times when I would go up to see my Uncle and Auntie who live up in Darwin. They built a house and lived out in the bush and had snakes, spiders and green tree frogs all around them 24/7. So one time we went up there and my Auntie took us to the outside dunny and showed us a little green tree frog that was living in the toilet and we all named Noggy. I remember constantly checking if Noggy was still there every time we went there and he always was. A little thing from my childhood that I will never forget.

Tree Frogs have such a satisfying and oddly pleasant touch with their hands. I love holding them and they are so chill with it thankfully. Such cool little guys. Toads are the living embodiment of chill. They simply do not care at all. I ran up to one to demonstrate this to my brother and started chasing at it and yelling while flinging my arms about and he just turned around and stared into my eyes with no emotion or urgency as if to say “Do I look like a give one silly human?”. I just love them. They are all over my yard at night and it makes me so happy to go and pick them up and hold their dry, bumpy and squishy, cold little fat round bodies.

If you’re okay with the extra maintenance of an aquarium, African dwarf frogs are great! They’re absolutely itty bitty and adorable, they don’t need to eat creepy crawly insects (African dwarf frog food pellets that will sink to the bottom are fine), and you can house them with any freshwater creature that won’t eat them. The only issue is finding a place to get one, because if you buy one from PetSmart or a chain like that, it’ll probably die in a few months (they’re supposed to live for 5 years), so there’s probably some shady stuff going on with PetSmart that’s giving them diseases. Anyways, they’re very cute

I would catch them and put them in my outside little tykes playhouse that was on the porch. Unfortunately, they always tried to escape and i occassionally accidentally killed one or two when i would go into the house or if i shifted the house :( eventually i felt bad and stopped catching them, but i would still get them off the driveway so they didn't get run over

I used to have a pet frog named ‘Frobert littleshit the first’ and his day to day included, sleeping, sleeping, digging into his soil, sitting under his water bowl, and being silly. God I miss him

8:53 you also are going to need to keep their humidity, for most frogs, between 80-90% humidity, so you will need to mist them 3 times a day. Most frogs you will find at a store will be tropical so they will typically need to stay within 65-75 degrees. Depending on if the frog is Aborial or terrestrial will decide if you need a tall or long tank. Yes it matters, yes the stress of having the wrong tank can/will lead to an early death. Feed them every other day. Some you cannot co-hab...they will eat each other. You can also find poison dart frog at most exotic pet stores, they gain their poison by a specific ant that they eat in the wild. You can order the ants, but regular crickets will be fine and result in them being nontoxic, which means you can give them little boops every now and then. They can be Cohabed and of you have a big enough tank you can have like 10 in one tank. Frogs do poop often, and if it is a frog like the Pac-man frog, they will prefer to shit in their water dish and then kick all the water out and fling the shit water everywhere. You should clean the tank of poop once a week, and do a full clean (discarding the proper bedding and replacing it) every three weeks or else mold will form and harm your animal.
Id suggeat getting an automatic misting system, research the proper bedding necessary for your animal, temperature and humidity ranges. It is the difference between life and death.

Frogs and toads don't stink. They are the cleanest pets I've had. I had a tank of barking tree frogs and copes tree frogs. Very easy to keep. Tree frogs aren't really slimy. There more like...damp. They always sang when I turned the shower on. I now have an American bullfrog. She doesn't smell and surprisingly tamed in a few weeks. Now she comes to the glass to watch me in the room. The hardest part to keeping frogs is you have to feed them live food, like crickets, worms, and mice. Which you can get at pet stores. Thanks for the awesome video Tugg!

I'm convinced! Lol I already own frogs! I love them so much. Though if you want a pet frog the setup can be expensive and you do want an appropriate sized tank for your frog. I have a nice 70 gal for five froggies! And also want to make sure you have access to an exotic vet who takes frogs! I know some owners who have to drive hours to go see one, and you definitely don't want that! Do you your research and take your time and money making an amazing setup for your pet froggy! Frogs also eat only live prey so if you're squeamish about bugs a frog is not for you!
But that's okay if a pet frog isn't for you, there are so many cute froggies and frog owners online who love to share and talk about their frogs!
Fun fact, my frogs have potato names: Tater, Tot, Latka, Spud, and Gnocchi!
