    con una sensibilidad "chopiniana" asombrosa.

    Je n'ai jamais entendu une présentation aussi exceptionnelle de cette sonate no. 2 de Chopin. Par ses nuances d'une sensibilité aussi tendre tout en suivant la ligne, son interprétation devient un chef-d'oeuvre. L'écoute sans cesse cette enregistrement et mon âme en est ravie. Merci chère Hélène Grimaud et que le ciel vous protège.

    Dear, dear Chopin -- struggled all his adult life with TB, only to be felled by it at age 39.
    Hélène Grimaud captures the essence of Chopin beautifully.

    A wonderful interpretation. I particularly like and admire the section starting at about 16:45 when the "lyrical" reminiscence begins, and then near the end, Hélène slows down, haltingly, as if hesitating, taking some rubato, before resuming, reluctantly, the funeral procession, which is comparable to the ending of the 2nd movement ("Funeral March") of Beethoven's "Eroica" Symphony. Just one small example, out of many, of Hélène's realization of Chopin's poetic vision throughout the entire sonata. Bravo! .

      Then, as soon as she resumes the funeral march, an ad breaks in. Dammit!

      @wendychen5779 Год назад +1

      @@kevinm6790 I hate those intrusive ad breaks. It's likely they intentionally chose highly recommended performances, like this one by Hélène Grimaud, to reach more viewers (i.e., potential "buyers" of whatever they are "selling"). If so, I felt awful that I wrote that comment two years ago. Sigh!

      Des le premier mvt je ne ressens absolument rien ! Je pensais que le premier mouvement de la sonate op35 exprime la révolte contre la mort ? c'est bien la sonate funèbre qui est jouee ici si je ne me trompe. Je reviens 49 ans en arrière où le premier mvt de la sonate op35 de Chopin était imposé au concours final du Conservatoire de Marseille entre autre ( avec aussi en imposés la toccata op92 de Czerny Terrasse des Audiences Preludes et fugues de Bach ) et en deuxième partie du concours le premier concerto de Chopin c'est dire que ce que j 'ecris est en connaissance de cause . La meilleure version pour moi est celle de V Asch'enazy et S Rachmaninov . Je suis tombée par hasard best une anecdote pas très convaincante

    She has a good technique. She plays difficult passages with ease. But the voicing, especially the all-important melody line, gets covered up by the inner voices. She needs more drama and strength, in addition to the facile notes. I appreciate what she’s doing, but listening just once was enough.
