What could the problem be if the 'holder changer' is intact? My son laid over his 2009 KLX250, and after we picked it up, it will no longer engage or move. You can shift the gears all you want, but the bike won't move. I took it apart as you demonstrated thinking it was the most likely culprit, but I can see no broken parts. Any suggest on where to look next appreciated!
Happy to Help. It's not the shifter prong then I would look into the clutch did you fall on the right or left side? Thank you for watching and your Sub Paul. Ride Safe and have a great day.
@@TwoWheelRocco Thanks a million man. We put it back together and guess what, now we can push/roll it forward some 10 feet when it will engage a gear and stop--it does not matter if the clutch is engaged or not. I can roll it backward without a problem. So I'm thinking the issue is in the transmission...
Awesome video, thank you! One question... The one nut, "that was a real pain". I can't seem to get that off and it's starting to strip. How did you get it off? Thanks for any help you can give.
This was some time ago, I believe I used a 1/4 ratchet with extension. Hope this helps. Let us know how this works out. Thank you for your Sub Joshua. Ride Safe and have a great day.
@@TwoWheelRocco Thanks for the fast reply. I was able to find a very small box 10mm 12 point that fit in there, along with some PB. I would have preferred a 6 point but they were out of stock. Anyway, got it off, but wow was that annoying.
Happy to help. I don't truly understand your question. The shifting wheel is what we replaced in the Kawasaki. So watch the video and I hope it helps. I do believe that is the shifter retainer. Thank you for watching and your sub. Let us know how it works out. Ride safe and have a great day.

@@TwoWheelRocco thanks for reaching out to me! I noticed last night that if I mess with the clutch it will sometimes get stuck in neutral and not even drop down to first. I can then push the bike s little and then it will be able to go back down to first but not up past neutral still. Does that narrow down the possibilities?
That is what the videos about. That's the shifting paw, get a manual and buy the part. This video will walk you right through it. Thank you for watching and all your support Johanna. Ride safe and have a great day.
