Incredible how good this game still looks 6 years later. The amount of detail is staggering. The developers at Naught Dog at truly magicians to give us content like this on the PS4. Great video.

The texture quality is the same as the ps4 pro,but not all texture is high on ps4 pro,. Some are low majority of the texture on pro is high same as ps5, but some are streaming related issues.. Ps5 texture are all high..

This made me feel REALLY old when I read it. Jesus, when did the time go so fast. I remember being hyped for the game and going out and buying it when it was released and that felt like yesterday instead of "6 years ago".

Both the PS4 version and the PS5 one look stunning! In my opinion, the most important thing about this Remaster, is that you can enjoy this masterpiece in 60 fps.

Ya I don’t notice much of a difference from the 2016 version aside from the frame rate. Graphically this game was ahead of it’s time 6 years ago and is exactly how I remember it. But I just can’t play games at 30 FPS anymore. I never knew it was a problem til I started playing 60 FPS games!
@@NickyNicest I've always been fine with 30fps. How does 60fps affect gameplay? On Miles Morales it just makes everything look like it's in slow motion.
@@NickyNicest trust me, if you don’t have a ps5 and a great tv, you’re definitely missing the difference. RUclips isn’t doing it justice. I recently passed the game on ps5, and it kept leaving me shocked and amazed on how amazing it looks in person. It can compete against any modern PlayStation games and obviously Xbox games….which I can’t really name at the moment, except halo…which uncharted still surpasses graphically.

Though I've played UC 4 like 10 times through, names my 2 cats Nathan and Elena, been through all the others several times on the Pro. No desire to get a PS5, these games are perfection the way they are. Nice to see people experiencing them for the first time though!

@@CHARIF_Omar because Sony prioritises graphics over gameplay which is why games like days gone, ghost of Tsushima and horizon zero dawn all have the same large world's, good graphics but mediocre gameplay it's there formula. I loved HZD but look at a game like sifu they actually went with something different and the game is awesome

Even with PS5 upgrades of many PS4 games, Sony is still unwilling to entirely get away from making you pay for their old works.
Eh, $10 for both games is negligible enough I give it a pass. It’s not like it’s The Last or us Part 2 upgrade where it just unlocks the frame rate.

You don't really need powerful hard wares to run good looking games, especially if the games had proper art directions and optimization then it can still look beautiful even on low end machines.

Hands down. Uncharted 4 is still amazingly beautiful after 6 years. It looks like it came out yesterday.
I also think there has been a good improvement on the sub-surface scattering, and the way light interacts with their skin. if you look at about 3:20 the PS5 has a much more realistic looking skin, and while some of that may just be clearer skin textures due to the increase resolution, the way the skin lets off a sof red glow on the intersection of light and shadows isn't as wide as on PS4 so it ends up looking, at least imho, much nicer. easier to see when their faces are in sunlight.
This skin can be done in ps4 too if they give a remodel update on ps4 the last update probably was in 2018 and while doing on ps5 they will ofcourse rework the models on ps5
Imagine how incredible a ps5 only title from naughty dog would look 🤯
Well hopefully we'll see that in the next couple years, and I'm not talking about a multiplayer project

@@saucyx4 2018*. I actually just played it last week on PC and honestly, I think the graphics are overrated (and this is on PC). It's definitely not a bad looking game but also far from being the best of 2018. Especially the lighting, general world details as well as facial animations are much much stronger in RDR2, Uncharted 4 and TLOU2.
This was already an amazing looking and sounding game - really couldn't notice any significant improvements worth paying for

I am playing the PS5 version and I thought for sure they did a major graphics overhaul to make it look as good as it does. Its mind blowing to find out that it basically looked the same on the PS4. Has to be one of the all time greats in terms of graphic fidelity.

Just started this in Performance mode.. that 60fps makes this game soooo much more incredible. Absolutely recommend performance mode.
If your tv supports 120fps you can game in 1080p 120fps my tv dose not so I just games in 1080p 60fps no 4K no HDR but the game still looks great it dose not need 4K or HDR in my opinion

Did you feel a major difference with the usage duelsense controller in other areas besides the 4x4 car, like gunplay, walking through different environments, driving the bout, jumping/rolling, etc? Or was the effect minor and had no effect on stuff like gunplay?
nothing really that substantial honestly.
I got legacy of thieves today i’v noticed the adaptive triggers and the 60 fps controller vibrates as well and as for the graphics they are very similar to the ps4 pro unfortunately they should’ve done big improvements of the graphic for the PS5 version of this game
Doesn't look much of a difference 🤔. But still one of my favourite or best ever story mode game i've played!
I upgraded for two reasons. The first is that I wanted to relive uncharted 4 again, being the first game I played on ps4. The second being I never played the lost legacy, which I’m really glad I started playing
Same I played this back in 17 on my base ps4 and on a meh 1080p tv. Now I can take advantage with the 5 and 4k monitor
This really shows that we hit the graphic ceiling last generation.
No we haven’t in 2-3 years when developers can start building games from the ground up for next gen hardware exclusively then we will see how great games can actually look this is essentially just a remastered version of the game
@@trigzzfrl3013 While games will look better, I honestly don't think they will look significantly better. tbh, most PS4 games could probably run on PS3, with only the games like Uncharted 4, God of War, Last of Us 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2 hitting the graphic ceiling. To me, this generation is going to focus far more on performance, making the fps and and loading times much quicker, and ultimately making the games play better, rather than look just better.
@Transistor Jump The game looks spectacular no doubt, but when compared to the jump from PS2 to PS3, and to PS4, it's not a major leap. (Also it's difficult to compare a cartoony art style in Ratchet to a realistic game like Uncharted).
Yeah very true, towards the end of the generation of a console they aways manage to squeeze as much as possible out of the hardware. Uncharted and the last of us did this with the PS3 generation. You can tell they’ve got as much as they can from the hardware when they console fans sound like they’re readying for take off.

I enjoyed both games when they originally came out. I am upset that this wasn’t a free upgrade or even their greedy $10 upgrade fee. 🤦♂️

$10 upgraded both games for me. Now I’m not sure if you own one of the two games and if you upgrade for $10 if you get the other game for free.
You get the bang for your buck with this upgrade, you get 3D audio, dual sense support, three modes, plus if you only have one of the games you get the second one for free, it's a good deal. People are acting like it's a bump in resolution and that's it, no it's about four things that's upgraded.

You get both games if you owned either of the game.
the audio sounds better, either through manipulation or just using less compression on the files. Seems like a like a lot more frequencies are getting though and instead of having to focus too much on the task at hand, we're getting a more rounded feel to everything that's playing out in the frame... It's subtle, but a nice change.
Honestly playing on the ps5 is like wearing a new pair of glasses, everything looks so new and crisp, (not that the ps4 was less) although my U4 and LL got a bit glitchy at times; jerky character movements, characters moving at places with t poses, environments taking a millisecond more to load and etc. Maybe the ps5 was too good or smth? BUT I still enjoyed it. I hope to purchase the upgrade (would've been nice to have an option to swap my two discs for a single 2 in 1 ps5 version) and enjoy the game once more

Good thing that it doesn't have the word "remaster" in the title. The lack of a second platinum is also a big drawback for me, so I'll spend my $10 elsewhere since I am not made of money, and there are a ton of other games out there that deserve to be played.
It is a good deal for people who only have one of the games, though.
Considering you get a ticket for the movie that 10 goes a long way and it helps out the developers for future games.
Considering if you only have one of these games, and 3D audio is implemented, in dual sense and haptic triggers are implemented, plus three game modes, and you get the second game for free if you don't have both, it's a dog on good deal

For $10 it is def worth it for the frame rate update alone. I can’t go back to 30 FPS after experiencing 60+. I’d never buy it for full price tho. Aside from that I did not notice much difference graphically. The game was already way ahead of it’s time in that aspect 6 years ago.
GTA V remaster better be spectacular if they’re going to charge full price and offer no way to upgrade at a discounted rate.

Am I the only one who’s a little underwhelmed? The graphical upgrade is so minor it might as well have been a free update for anyone who already owns both games. I know ten bucks isn’t a lot but here you’re paying it for essentially nothing.
I agree, I mean it’s great that anyone who hasn’t played these masterpieces yet gets to have them both for $50 but let’s be real these are two of sonys most sold games so it’s likely that more people have them than not. This feels like a quick cash grab + promo for the uncharted movie. I’m not mad or anything since it was only $10 but I’m disappointed that there really isn’t anything new at all. The only reason I bought the upgrade is cause I own both games as a physical copy and now I can play them without having to put in the disc lmaoo
I absolutely love the unchartered series. I just don’t see how people would notice the difference between the two real time, nice to see a video highlight this on the whole. If you’ve played it, probably not worth playing again. If you never played, you gotta get it’s an amazing game! Great vid highlighting the differences (or lack of) 👍🏼

Uncharted 2 is better than Uncharted 4.
Uncharted 4 is not 10/10 and far away from a perfect game.
The main problem with Uncharted 4 is-
1-Villain rafe compared to lazaravich and Hector alcazar is bad.Why Hector alcazar is not the main villain. Imagine the fight sequences in the game.
2-Pacing is so slow in the jungle section,it's like its stretched compared to Uncharted 2.
3-Set pieces are not the best but also not the worst.
Its missed opportunity,knowing that this is the last Nathan Drake adventure they should have taken more time in thinking action sequences and set peices.
And also knowing that we will not see another adventure with Nathan drake.

As an Xbox guy who recently bought a PS5 and just finished The Last Of Us Remastered I have to say the gunplay in Naughty Dog games is better than tomb raiders gun play...This makes the game way better for me personally.

This Game looks perfect on PS4, the amount of Details is astonishing! ..For me, even new games from the last years are not much better or even worser ..overall the PS4 was ahead of its time, and should be supported by Sony for much longer. But atleast you can play PS4 games on PS5, thanks for that.

Pretty sure I wouldn't have noticed any of those changes unless they were pointed out. The importance of 60 fps in a shooter can't be overstated though. And the game looks excellent except for some of the effects.

I think this upgrade is well worth the money if you already have one of the games. I already had uncharted 4 and just for a little more I benefited from all the new features and uncharted lost legacy.
I played them all on PS4 Pro, so doubt I redo any of it. Still looks amazing and the same.
I find it very hard to notice any difference in graphics when playing on PS4 Pro and PS5. You have to look very closely to notice much difference.

I bought Uncharted 4 for $10 before this released and to my surprise it allowed me to upgrade my game for $10 and it gave me the PS5 version of Uncharted 4 and Uncharted Lost Legacy which I didn't own before.

TLOU2 has better graphics still but this one is still impressive. After playing both, TLOU2 still quite easily beats this graphically and technology wise AND detail wise.
It’s fucking insane how much they improved in graphics from tlou in 2013 and uncharted 4 only 3 years later!

Thank you for the video. The Remastered version of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves offers 4K resolution and excellent image/sound. However, I still have a question: Does the Fidelity Mode include features like ray tracing, enhanced lighting, or additional visual effects that are absent from the performance mode?

@@robertcondon5933 perhaps because of optimization issues, even my PS4 Pro run like a freaking jet engine on Doom Eternal and Warzone's main menu.
Uncharted 4 for me peaks with that car chase, feel like after that the game is no where near as fun. Still worth buying though 🤘😎
What has been possible to achive with the ancient soc of the PS4 is simply a miracle. Still unbelievable today. Very very nice.
I think people often don't realize this, but as far as the color difference between the two versions, the way HDR affected video capture on the PS4 is different to how it behaves on PS5. PS5 is better able to capture what the colors actually look like on screen during gameplay with HDR enabled
It couldn't see the visual difference after the upgrade. However the 60fps boost was super pleasant 👌 Also I didn't see a 120fps mode on the ps5 only the 60fps
You may not have a 120hz display. It is there, as I’ve been playing Uncharted 4 in 120fps

Let's be REAL honest here, the only three differences are the resolution, frame rates and loading time, but that alone are huge. The PS4Pro version by comparison looks so blurry now. But that's probably because I have a 4K TV and the TV is upscaling the 1440P version.
One thing you failed to mention is if the different graphical modes have a change in JUST resolution OR a change in graphic detail AS WELL?!?? 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

These differences are so tiny, it's like the ps3 vs xbox 360 game comparisons with the same games... With the Snes and Genesis you had way bigger differences between them, so here with a complete generation in between is quite shocking .
I remember how going from the nes to the snes or the master System to the Genesis was mind boggling, same with the playstation, playstation 2 and playstation 3.... And suddenly it's all just details...
Okay, after this releases on pc, i wanna see ghost of thushima and the last of us 2 on the pc. And if were on the topic of PlayStation pc releases, then we can maybe continue to release the other entries of the god of war/uncharted series.

Good on a sale. Right now it’s $10, probably to coincide with the release of the Uncharted movie on streaming platforms. I’m sure it’ll be on sale again in the future

But if you only owned one before, at least now you get an extra game for a nice price.
@@Nick930 I agree, unfortunately (or fortunately) I own both games and don't feel comfortable giving them my $10, it's just $10 bucks but still, I don't want to encourage this type of thing. They upped the price of their first party tiles by $10 bucks, they just wanna push and prode to see how far they can go.

Most Ps5 owners will chose 1440p/60fps mode over 2160p/30fps mode everytime .

I think RDR 2 has the best graphics of last gen and arguably still the best of all time. I also think it's a better game than Uncharted 4, still think both games are great.

Red dead 2 has the best graphics plus its open world Uncharted and the last of us aren't open world
Don’t care what PC players will say having a better frame rate is so much better on these newer consoles. I played uncharted 4 in performance mode 1080p 60fps and I found myself killing the bad guys much more easy and I played in crushing. I’d get more headshots and my accuracy was much better with the stable frame rate. I don’t care much about 4K or HDR the games beautiful enough it shines just fine in 1080p

30fps to a max of 120fps yes.
