This is a perfect example of why I thought Pig's final appearances were his best. He knew his days were numbered, so he really took advantage of these final appearances, he really "let it all hang out," as we say. Despite his sickly condition, God let him keep his best instrument, his voice, in great shape. Everything he did on stage in Europe 72 sounds as good as or better than this. God bless you Ron, see you in heaven.

I think Ladies and Gentlemen...from 1971 has about the most Pig songs of any one GD offering (although it is four discs, which helps). But man, Good Lovin', Lovelight, Alligator, Midnight Hour, Next Time You See Me, The Rub are all fantastic on Ladies and Gentlemen. Listen to the rap in the middle of that particular Good Lovin'..."that's a girl? Looks more like a jersey cow! Brother, for a dollar and a quarter what you expect?
