American Pie will always have a special place in my heart because I was 16 when it came out and a sophomore in high school. It was really the movie for my generation...Ah memories...Can't believe I'm 32 now...Where did 16 years go? :(
I sit here with an incurable disease and most days I can't get out of bed. Never knew how much I'd need memories and nostalgia like this. This song screams of my teen years. When life was easy and I was young and carefree. What I wouldn't do to get those days back I so often took for granted. Thank you 3 Doors Down. (American Pie too, of course.)
I too have an incurable disease and I have so many things that I wish I could do. I've had this my whole life so when I say "so many things" I mean SOOOO many things. This is the song I listen to when I feel like my disease might finally win or when I'm tired of being scared. I live in a safe home with a warm bed (although I am almost always cold due to my disease) but I'm fucking terrified of this disease. I'm NOT afraid to die but I AM afraid that my disease will win before I make my mark in this world. I'm also terrified of the feeling of fading and this disease makes me fade everyday. I was born with my biggest fear attached to me, isn't that funny? I long to feel fearless, but until then I'll just keep listening to this cuz it calms me.
Music Life I GET YOU. I was just telling someone that the hardest thing for me lately is constantly mourning the person I was. Watching that person die and trying to find a new normal and ACCEPT that new normal. That feeling of wanting to accomplish, or make my mark, is something I struggle with too. The fading? The being swallowed up? I get you. I get you. I get you. You’re not alone. ❤️ Too many take for granted the now. LIVE IN IT. Be present. Cherish every breath. Tomorrow isn’t promised and life certainly doesn’t ask for our consent to act. P.S. The cold eats me up too. My house is now filled with heated blankets. I highly recommend one. Or seven lol ❤️
This song has helped me through almost all of my bad times, when I was a kid and when I was in the mental institution after Iraq. I remember sitting behind the glass walls being watched 24 hours a day, and for 1 hour they let me play guitar. There was one person in there with me and it just so happened that he knew how to play this song on the guitar and he taught me how to play it. It was at this time that I realized God would always be with me.
3 doors down has been the soundtrack of my life since the 2000s.. Most profound influence I had was the music to get through, teen years and bullying to the desert and war to adult hood and divorce. THANK YOU 3 DOORS DOWN
This song explains the envy that some of us have, when it comes to the glorious lifestyle. We wish we could put ourselves in that person's shoes, only to just see and feel what it's like to be loved, and have that feeling most of us long for!
Chris Dixon they have sold in excess of 20million albums. They have multiple platinum albums. There debut cd is 6x platinum meaning it’s sold over 6million copies. They were one of the biggest rock bands of of the early 2000’s. But I guess that means their underrated
Vince Mayfield like a lot of bands from the early 2000’s the genre just isn’t popular anymore. They’ve been at it for 21+ years. There probably starting to get tired. How ever they are on your right now.
I love how 3 doors down songs. they ACTUALLY have meaning, unlike alot of popular songs, like for instance telephone by lady gaga, its like "Thats great that your having fun in a club and ppl are calling you but NOT a good reason to write a song." seriously ur writing a song about ur phone. and also blah blah bal by kesha."I know ppl are talking to you, and you dont want them to but no reason to write a song about it. where as 3dd write bout meaningful things. thumbs up if u agree!
this is the perfect recording by three doors down, when they were fresh and new,and not so commercialized. 'nuff said! they are still one of my fave bands!

im only 13 and this is a touching song....everyone wants a normal life.....money and fame never comes close to having friends family and your values thumbs up if u think everyone should have a normal life...surround yourself with great friends and peers....cuz in the end....wen ur on yur deathbed....u wanna look back and think you had a good life and have the least of regrets and helped a few on the way....god bless everyone
I am trying to remember why I stopped listening to this band... they helped me through so much when I was younger... always kept me in a better mood and wanting to try to be a better person.

No better series than American Pie (original cast). I have watched them 1000 times and still get excited when they come on.

We don’t have any of those music now😭 everything is piss and shit
This is such a great band--not necessarily because of the music which is excellent but because of the lyrics which are superlative.
The music still holds up. It is very nostalgic for the early 2000s.
This song explains the envy that some of us have, when it comes to the glorious lifestyle. We wish we could put ourselves in that person's shoes, only to just see and feel what it's like to be loved, and have that feeling most of us long for!

I don't know why they're not recognized more I mean they're not only Christian but they are very wholesome music and their meaning is very true
