Check out Anton Rubinstein’s Yankee Doodle Variations Op. 93. A very grandiose piece that has more substance. There is a video here on RUclips played wonderfully by Marius van Paassen.
Gottschalkl's Union😋 edit: btw in the comment section of the Herz piece, I'm actually @snorefest1621 - The intro to this piece, as many people noted, is similar to the Brazilian anthem (which was also transcribed by Gottschalk). I should've started Gottschalkthesis instead (if he didn't write a bunch of goofy-ah salon pieces😏)
Yankee Doodle keep it up Yankee Doodle dandy idk the rest so ima stop here wait I can’t stop I need help bruh STOP I CANT AHH SOMEONE HELP ME I CANT STOP EEEEEEE
My god, as much as I love the piano music of this style, I cannot stomach the Strakoch variations. They are, I think it is relatively clear, totally lacking of any originality, nuance, or other favorable qualities. But thanks for the upload.
Maybe use a better midi? lol all the arpeggios are played in the Baroque way which not a single composer past 1850 uses anymore not that it would help much, Strakosch's arrangement sucks, it sounds like something i composed for a school project
The first one is an actual recording lol and the second is midi. And yeah Strakosch’s is pretty trash, but like, he probably wrote the piece as a joke.
I have a dream, where some little child goes to play yankee doodle at some elementry school talent quest and busts out the Strakosch variation.
Probably happening somewhere in South Korea tbh
@@Medtszkowski wait a sec, I just realized, in the finale, those are what? 8 octave jumps?????
That’s awesome!!!! Never thought Yankee Doodle could be that virtuous 🤩

Dies Irae was in the past, the theme now is Yankee Doodle
Strakosch version hits hard. Let's make it more popular!
Oh no💀
I didn't noticed Herz's version. Love it! Thanks
00:29 bro really wrote a fugue on yankee doodle 🤣🤣🤣
Very cool! Gottschalk's one is awesome too
Hey I saw the Herz version a long time ago. But IDK Strakosch's one lol. I never heard of this composer fr

I had your username as an idea for a 2nd RUclips channel about a year ago
@@Medtszkowski lmaoooo
thanks
Crazy virtuosic, hope to make mine better soon
Wow you are writing one?
@@Medtszkowski meaning my recording, but I might write one at some point for fun
People who take Strakosch’s version seriously are boring people
My exact thoughts
Most devilish piece with hopeful melody

I created a variation on old macdonald had a farm. (Inspired by that)
Herz's piece at least sounded like music, the other one tho...
Lmfao
I wonder what Liszt would have done…

Strakosch is literally just technical difficulty upon technical difficulty lol, Herz's is vastly better.
