      Wait really? Given that you are a Alkaniszt fan this is quite surprising. I don't judge your preference though, this piece is really awesome. If I had the time, I could make my personal top 10 most difficult pieces video, and make this straight up first place lol.

      But it's probably playable by a human, whereas I doubt this is.

    • @careyhendersonvocalstudios5429
      @careyhendersonvocalstudios5429 9 месяцев назад

      @@michaeledwards1172 I think it definitely is, though certainly not with the tempi chosen for this rendering, which are arguably much, much faster than intended by the composer when compared to the tempo markings in the music (Var. III [4:10] being the most obvious example -- I'd hardly describe that as "quasi andante"!).

  • @michaeledwards1172
    @michaeledwards1172 10 месяцев назад +14

    Somehow you can tell when it's machine-played - it's just too perfect, but with no expression whatsoever. When it comes to the huge leaps near the end, somehow hearing a machine do it effortlessly doesn't thrill, whereas hearing (and seeing) a human doing it would engage you, even if it was considerably slower (as I think it would have to be) and with the odd mistake here and there.

    La mélodie la plus insipide et inintéressante que l'on puisse imaginer.D'une pauvreté rare.Quant à cette sorte de paraphrase exubérante sur le plan rythmique , d'une difficulté technique assez élaborée dans l'approche de ses différentes variations plutôt orientées vers un aspect transcendant , elle ne parvient pas à beaucoup retenir l'attention du fait de la pauvreté d'inspiration de sa ligne mélodique , pseudo-folklorique et vulgaire.
    Tout cela n'a pas une goutte d'aspect génial et , certes bien écrit dans l'ensemble , peut être relayé au musée des horreurs et erreurs du répertoire pianistique.
    Mais le ( ou la ) pianiste est excellent...seule compensation dans cet horrible pot-pourri !
