Wait really? Given that you are a Alkaniszt fan this is quite surprising. I don't judge your preference though, this piece is really awesome. If I had the time, I could make my personal top 10 most difficult pieces video, and make this straight up first place lol.
wonder why no one ever recorded this, obviously it's not a very serious work but it really feels like a fun one and well written. Maybe someday i'll play it, just for the meme, but definetly not in the near future lol
0:01: Nice, relaxing, easy introduction, I guess the whole piece will be around this level 2:19: Ok... not too bad, interesting idea! 3:02: Still not too hard. Why do people say this is humanly impossible? 3:33: Oh. 4:13: OOOOOH. 5:12: AAAAHHHH I'M SORRY!!!
people keep saying the last version is Mereaux on steroids but it's definitely easier. I will upload a video about ranking the difficulties of the jumps in bravura in a few months and this will be on there as a reference for the scale
@@michaeledwards1172 I think it definitely is, though certainly not with the tempi chosen for this rendering, which are arguably much, much faster than intended by the composer when compared to the tempo markings in the music (Var. III [4:10] being the most obvious example -- I'd hardly describe that as "quasi andante"!).
Somehow you can tell when it's machine-played - it's just too perfect, but with no expression whatsoever. When it comes to the huge leaps near the end, somehow hearing a machine do it effortlessly doesn't thrill, whereas hearing (and seeing) a human doing it would engage you, even if it was considerably slower (as I think it would have to be) and with the odd mistake here and there.
Lionel VIGNERESSE.
2:19 You expected this melody
3:33 WTF you doing
5:12 it's like Mereaux on steroids

The fact that this is also the Barny The Dinosaur song makes it funnier 💀
What does it sound like?
"Barney can be your best friend if you just make believe him"🎹🎼🎶
It’s Barney on drugs lmaooo

cool. wait for it!
We are winning the confederacy with this one 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
The fact that alkan solo piano concerto can be played but not this just makes it more cursed😊😊😊
....if Alkan stuck a feather in his hat
Nah it would be a bit more complez
If alkan stuck a feather in his hat then he would call it “prodigy”
Gottschalk's yankee doodle is so mild comparing with this
But it's probably playable by a human, whereas I doubt this is.

The cheap piano soundfont gives it away immediately as well
But those super-dry blind octaves kind of sound good 😂
I just wish I could find a clean recording of this piece. I genuinely cannot one on RUclips or any other streaming platform.
@@riggedgame1189 It's often the case with difficult but obscure pieces.
I dunno. I kinda feel that such a ridiculous showpiece is kind of *made* for artificial players. Otherwise, what a waste of technique.
Imagine if this in the barney show💀
😂 This got me good 😂
5:12 Is it easier to do no jumps in the right hand and 5 octave jumps in the left hand, or 2 octaves in the right and 3 in the left simultaneously?
Personally the former looks easier, but it is truly enough to say that "neither is easy..."
If you would provide the midi, I would love to provide a higher quality audio that you could post
I hope so... unfortunately, this midi's copyright is not belongs to me. Alkan_Lisztaddict made the midi, bth I think well made.
@@melonica90Oh yes, darn, I see the original where you found the audio from now.

Someone took this joke of a piece way way WAY too seriously
C'est pas un pianiste qui joue c'est le logiciel de lecture de partition en voix MIDI 🤣
Sinon entièrement d'accord avec vous
