Spot on comment about the quivertip being his meditation. I have lost myself so many times whilst staring at it. I'm sure people walking by have thought "why is he leant forward with his mouth open and a vacant glaze" !
I tried cheese paste today. First time ever, usually fish with lures. Had a nice chub a fraction under 5lb. Another 3lb. Nice to get some success with a completely new method. If you’re catching plenty, but nothing over 5lb, most likely the stretch doesn’t hold them.
Brilliant video. Watching that rod tip sure is meditating, that is the only thing you need to worry about, takes your mind off everything else. I had a good Christmas chub fishing. Got my pb chub on boxing day, 5lb 15oz! Would like a 6lb before the season ends. Lovely rods too, might treat myself to one next season
Great video! I've got the 10ft Specialist Quiver and it's the best Chub-Rod I've ever used. Would love to see a shorter version of it - 7 or 8ft for really tight swims.
@@paulAnthony7236 👍Have the River Ambush since 2020, fished it today (tight swim, overhanging trees). The fantastic new Drennan Quiver stayed in the car for this very reason.
New pb last week of 6lb 13oz. Drennan Twin Tip Duo with Supplex hooklink. Had so many good Chub on this fantastic rod. Trotting with an old Drennan Waggler rod and Chub to 6lb 5oz.
AWESOME video! 🔥 I love Chub fishing!
Pure delight, lovely video, and ........thank you.

Great fishing been after a five for ever😊😊😊😊
I had that monkey on my back for ages then finally managed it. Caught loads over 5lb now and best 6lb 2. Keep plugging away it will happen 😊
Don't give up. Maybe another river with bigger average fish is possible for you.
