Every time I see a super strong climber have to work hard to take down an iconic Sharma route, it reminds how badass Sharma was/is to have put these things up when he did
@@EnjoyPlantPower Chris Sharma was strong, had great vision for lines and great opportunity/sponsorships that let him follow it. he put up lots of really stunning and difficult lines all over the world.
Dreamcatcher is one of the best looking line in the world. The geometry of it, the long scar running against it and the lighting in the cave makes it surreal.
...talks about how left leg intensive dream catcher is...takes a break to go bouldering...flashes v12 left hand arete where every foot is a left heel...guess that what it's like to be strong.
I remember when Sharma did this but somehow he (and i guess the way it was filmed) made it look like a big boulder problem. This document here shows just how long and sustained this route really is. Fabulous send, and great video.
they cut the ascend. go watch adam ondras uncut vids. thats what you described in your comment. if you are really looking for what you described, go look into adams vids. no cuts, no speed ups, nothing. no music, just pure raw climbing footage made from real climbers for real climbers. allthough, i am not :D
@@Schlongusdongus They were clipping a few frames here and there - that's still uncut as far as I'm concerned. I think what you meant to say was, If you want to see "real time" sends just check out Mellow's bouldering footage and not their sport routes

That was refreshing and inspiring! Great job Jimmy! In the time that I have known you, you’ve always have been on an upward trajectory. Must be the humble attitude.
English really doesn't have that many words to classify rocks. I guess the next size up from boulder would be monolith, although the word "rock" is probably a better choice than that..
I fucking love this channel! Love the framing and shots Editing and music give this so much traction my eyes are glued to the screen So pumped for my workout now!!!
Hahaha I’ve got a blue heeler, Mountain Girl, that loves to get into poop out in the woods, too! We call them forrest treats... and it drives me crazy when she does it. Awesome send man! Shout out from Chattanooga!
Overall it keeps things cool and dry; your body, the rock. Good for rubber friction. Can be the difference in sending or not. Steady light winds, cool temps and low humidity are ideal climbing conditions.
Man this is a crazy question but what do you eat to keep enuf energy on the wall without being too stuff bloated etc. That’s always been a big wonder of mine is what climbers with your skill level munch on to have good sustainability? Help appreciated! Great video too btw! 👍
Jimmy! you look so much skinnier than you used to be! ...actually, maybe you're just bigger in person, I dunno. Anyways, great job! way to represent chattown!
I respect the discipline of bouldering but there is something about a boulderer breaking out of the shell to do something bigger on a rope that is just so much more proud IMO
@@Beingahumanbeing Like/Dislike bar seems to say most people enjoyed it. Believe it or not, its possible to enjoy artistic editing + climbing and still like watching raw footage.

Completely agree
Yup ! Beatiful ! And that "Black Magic" boulder was pretty amazing too :O
Yes, absolutely gorgeous
Sharma is such a visionnary when it comes to bolting iconic routes, it's crazy

Same thoughs haha, but this guy is made of steel. Totally crushed the route. Looks like 5.10 moves all the way up haha
Jimmy is the the new king of slopers for me...after Steven Jeffery I havent seen such a f...power!
@@ALEXISGNFR Check out his vid on Belial 8C in Font
probably one of the sickest lines out there
Absolutely...slab, ledge, aid seam..........brutal
This remains one of my favorite Mellow videos!!! Jimmy is a monster.
What a classic line. Sick send. Wanna see more of Jimmy on hard sport routes!
"top 3 experiences climbing for me"
we'll get him!
me too
Kevin Takahashi Smith, thank you for this video and your hilarious comments made about the weather.
Jimmy killed the climb, Kevin killed the video. Y’all are rad

Congrats Jimmy!
Cant wait to see what you're thinking about doing next if you're in this kinda shape!
climbing PORN! we have never seen such good footage of “Dreamcatcher”. what a beautiful route in a beautiful place.
First bowl-cut ascent
Jimmy Webb is the climber I aspire to be.
Now that's some beautiful climbing. His foot work is so precise. And the line is a dream - well named climb. Thanks for this one.
Dreamcatcher is like the weirdest, sickest 9a ever...slab...ledge...aid seam.....crazy!!!
So strong ! And nicely done ! Once again, the music of the send is perfect, just like it was on Sharma's and McColl's

Incredible video guys!!! Great work Jimmy!!!
Really enjoyed the vid, so funny! Well done👌
Sharma: “yeah you just dyno off the slab, took me a good number of sessions”
Webb: just reached up, “yeah it’s a super good line”
How do y'all top yourselves every week?
Superbly edited
those 11 minutes went by waaaay too fast
So true
"topping out the boulder"
Cacodemon boulder: A big boulder, but a boulder none the less!
No sport routes for Jimmy, rope is just a mistake
Sometimes we may forget boulder means a rock 😁
dreamcatcher is on a massive free-standing boulder that fell from the wall above it.

beatiful line... crazy power and technique
beautiful climb, great send, lovely video...all good
great storytelling and sick send!!
Wow, Black Magic looks like a really cool line!
Dude the conditions in squam were SO BAD in August. It makes all these hard sends even more impressive.
7:53 little bit of aid never hurt no send huh
amazing work! (also)
Officially a 5.14b at that mark
Lol was thinking same thing
Ran to the comments as soon as I saw it... 🤣🤣🤣

great music!
Does anyone know the jazzy song played while Jimmy is crushing the sick boulders? Also super amazing video!

That vid was... refreshing
Spectacular video
Says his left leg is tiered and trys some bouldering instead which consists of exactly the same movement XD
I mean squamish bouldering mostly feels like left leg heel hooks, so its hard to avoid :P
loved the vid but why the random transitions in the middle of the actualy send part
Now, that is what a I call a good spotting!!
Why do climbers get so psyched about the wind being up? Do they like the breeze to cool down a little?
Overall it keeps things cool and dry; your body, the rock. Good for rubber friction. Can be the difference in sending or not. Steady light winds, cool temps and low humidity are ideal climbing conditions.
whisks moisture off of the rock. smaller holds become less slick feeling
I envisage a beautiful future where the Mellow crew are putting up hard new sport lines as well as boulders. 🦾👌🏼✅
Damn, geology had a field day on this rock.
this video and the music is soooo dope.
jwebb's has the most stylish ascent of DC!

I see you're climbing with left highangle shoe and something else on the right :D enlighten us
Are the quick draws on dream catcher permanent?
more of this!

How would those wind conditions help that climb? I'm a noob

Rad climb, but the all the cuts during the send go seem a bit much. The flow and style gets lost in the stuttering.
disagree, the editing was top notch
