Just a Berkeley steel leader with a sliding weight and a chunk of carp on a 10/0 j hook or the same leader with a lure, med tiger combo from Walmart 15 pound big game mono
Got me one of them a couple weeks back on a water dog. Was fishing close to the dam. Is the other side free to get in if you drive around? Probably gonna make another trip out there before I head back to Cali.
@@CatfishCameron so you pay the 5$ then drive around or is there another spot to pay. It was super rockie on the dam side, gotta get the bait up off the bottom and reel like hell to not get caught.
What bait are you using and how do you fish it?? I fish this same lake almost everyday but I can’t seem to get a bite at all. Pls give me any tips if you can. Thanks. Congrats on your catches.
@@CatfishCameron thanks so much, I’ve fished jigs crank baits and top water but I haven’t had a single bite. Thanks for the much needed advice. TIGHT LINES 👌🏽
@@DoeBoidaLOC610 I used a water dog and a bobber. 16-24 inches of line under the bobber, with a 3/8 or 1/2 ounce clip on weight right under the bobber.
Been 4 times over the summer without catching a Muskie, heavy trout stocking definitely slowed the bite, and the lake is super full of water this year fish have lots of places to hide
“Don’t mess with that camera to much!!!” It wasn’t in views they was just trying to get a good shot for you smh 🤦♂️ dude sounds mean af towards whoever he was talking to lol
Can I suggest no bogs grips? Leave the fish in a net in the water and some good jaw spreaders and hook cutters. They don’t handle well best preserve them for future to catch her again when she’s 50in!
No, Phil's right, if they get to whipping too hard on them grips they can break their jaw. I've been going through your comments since you fished em 3 years ago and someone commented on your handling. This is RUclips should probably watch some videos on probably handling or go talk to the guys at our local Cabelas, even man. I'm here in Rio Rancho and they are a delicate fish. Just saying. Better to keep em around then to send em off all stressed and they die later in the day. Do you know why their Fins turn red or to not fish em in hot weather too? I see you fishing em in July. That's months should be for bass bro. Hope you heed the warnings. No bad days here just food for fishing thought

Nah you still gotta pay 5 bucks, I like that side more, been goin there a long time🦅Thanks for Watching

@@SoCalMisfit712there’s another pay box on the entrance of the lake on that side 👍🏻
@@CatfishCameron cool man thanks. Now just need to pick a day to go.
Hey what do you think is best bait to use during the fall?
Live water dog salamander under a bobber or cutbait fish like common carp or mackerel even bacon and other stuff works sometimes
I'm also curious what bait you were using?
Bait Was A chunk of common carp seen them caught on pretty much any meat🦅
@@CatfishCameron awesome I usually use hot dogs been pretty successful with that. great catch btw.
Awesome! What did you use for bait?
What was the bait?
Bait was cut Common Carp On a Carolina rig 🦅
What did you use for bait? Planning a blue water trip soon
Thanks for watching🦅

Steel leader Carolina rig with a big hook and a chunk of fresh carp, seen them caught in bacon and other meat too, also lures

@@CATFISHING.with.OLBUZZTAIL that’s the side I fish most often. Just licked up some shad gonna give my all in the morning
@@CATFISHING.with.OLBUZZTAILthanks George it’s better over there🦅
Hey man, have you been back there this year?
Been 4 times over the summer without catching a Muskie, heavy trout stocking definitely slowed the bite, and the lake is super full of water this year fish have lots of places to hide
@@CatfishCameron cool ,do you think the fall bite would be better, I'm thinking about giving it a try soon.
WOW way to go Catman camern 2 more tigers and one less carp
Haha you got that right even though I love carp fishing they can get huge🦅thanks for watching
Hey Cameron! Nice fish man. How do I get to this side of the lake?
There’s a main entrance in that side with a pay station, just follow the dirt roads🦅thanks for watching
When I went there was a lot of moss was it like that when you went?
Yeah the moss is gone now👍🏻👍🏻
What bait do you use I been trying to catch one
When they’re biting good I’ve seen them caught on bacon, breakfast sausage, and raw chicken, I like to use fresh cut fish like carp.
As far as lures I like white swimbaits, but anything bright will work
Ok thank you I’ll try today
Does good old corn work still for Carp to use for cut bait?
I only catch catfish when I go there 🤷♂️
there’s a surprisingly good amount of channels out there, been good last few years for Muskie they’re growin good, thanks for watching 🦅🦅
What kind of rod holder do you have?
Think it’s galled a goober rod holder, guy here in my state makes them🦅
Anyone do guiding on this lake?
You don’t really need a guide on this lake, most the time fishing is good from the shore and it’s not a very large lake🦅
“Don’t mess with that camera to much!!!” It wasn’t in views they was just trying to get a good shot for you smh 🤦♂️ dude sounds mean af towards whoever he was talking to lol
Yup don’t mess with my camera
Learn how to handle fish properly!!!!!!
Best go patrol that lake then..because people keep those fish all the time🦅
