fun fact: if you trade sheena the lightsphere before killing a gra soldier, it won't drop if you kill her, meaning you will be literally incapable of inflicting damage on hardin, and thus incapable of getting either the good or bad ending. fe12 wanted to add in a cute little detail and ended up making room for a game-breaking softlock. sure, it's so specific that you've only got yourself to blame if you do it, but the point is that it's possible.
You actually can't. Even if that soldier was playable, you wouldn't be able to revive him, because in Lunatic Reverse, the Aum staff is unobtainable due to requiring the Warp staff, which was replaced with a Fortify staff in the higher difficulty setting. You can't just use the Thief staff to open the chest in Chapter 23 containing it, because there's an enemy dark mage standing on top of the chest, preventing it from being obtained without first warping a unit in to kill them. You also can't kill them from a distance with 3-10 range weapons, since the game's only siege tomes (Meteor and Swarm) are enemy-exclusive and there are no playable ballisticians. FE12's idea of difficulty is taking the player's toys away from them. You can't get the second Hammerne staff in the same chapter for the same reason. (Lunatic and Lunatic Reverse also remove the Silence staff and the Silver Card, FYI.)

This is NOT an anime betrayal. It feels very REAL. As my favorite Fire Emblem, and the last of the good entries, I will explain why I adore this scene (that I had not seen previously, ironically). It only makes me like this DS masterpiece even more, because just think of Sheema's perspective! With only a few lines of dialogue from both Sheema and Samson, you can sense the building distrust, and it's very relatable. The feelings of betrayal are among the strongest feelings any human being can ever experience, and the way it's handled here is PERFECT.
To clarify, Sheena and Samson are unable to attack the Gra troops themselves, as the option to do so will not show up.
