I remember following Erik’s journey on Swedish idol, which he won btw, but haven’t heard much from him since and man he sounds different from how I remember him even though he was a powerhouse back then already !
He was in H.E.A.T. for 10 years and Skid Row for the last 2 years. He's on to his next adventure now, but he's been doing incredible covers on his RUclips channel for over two years now.

Thanks for the reaction. Sorry, Whitney and Dolly, This is now my favorite version of this song. I didn't know it needed a male's voice. If you haven't yet, check out Breaking the Silence where Erik and Dam Vasc sing together. Awesome. (he had to leave Skid Row as the touring was too hard on him. He is still regaining his strength after his bout with leukemia.)

I agree, that's the one thing I always missed in Whitney's version. Great vocals, but nowhere near as emotional as Dolly 's original. Erik has both
