I’ve always been a dog owner but I adopted a Maine Coon kitten over a year ago after losing my last pup. She is just amazing! She really is the best of both worlds for an animal lover. No more 4x a day walks but I’m still greeted at the door, she tells me all about her day with vocal gusto, she follows me all around the house and even loves to be brushed, showered with attention and does tricks for treats❣️
Ive never had any cats, Im thinking about getting one,but the only thing it worries me is that they are nocturnal and will wake me up every night.For me sleeping is vital.

We had a cat like that not a Maine coon He was your classic black cat. He looked like bagera from jungle book his name was blynk not a type o he was a true friend and a good cat that did things no other cat I've had did U miss him all the time but that's the sacrifice we as pet owners make. Because we do out live our fuzzy friends But ID rather have cats and dogs than not

My Big Boy Maine Coon was literally my saving grace. He was my therapy animal after my TBI! Big Boy crosses the Rainbow Bridge a couple years ago. I miss him every day! 💔
When you have a Himalayan, but the Maines are the clingy ones, that's saying something. My ragdoll was so attached that I had to put a barstool near my desk so she could "supervise" and I could use my keyboard!
My cat was a domestic long haired cat but he had some Maine Coon in him. And while he only had a passing resemblance to a Maine Coon, his attitude was all Maine Coon. We used to go for walks together. No lead or anything, he'd just walk with me. And he had such a diverse vocabulary too. I miss him. :(
I recognise so many things. Their talking is probably one of the cutest things ever. Love conversing with my kitten. they quickly learn to recognise patterns/sounds like the alarm clock in the morning or a creaking matras, it means fresh food is is about to materialise :-) Helping me with my work on my computer is definitely one of the top things on the list, as is asking for cheek rubbings.
Molly and Albus of course are gorgeous! Each cat has an individual personality. I love ALL cats but have to say these cats are absolutely beautiful! Wow do they love to talk!!🤗🐾🐾🥰💕
We just got two Maine Coons two weeks ago. They were born on June 15, 2020. A male (Hunter) belonging to our older daughter and a female (Willow) belonging to my wife; both from the same litter and they were the only members of that litter. My wife had been wanting a Maine Coon for 35 years. It just never happened. We did own a domestic long hair for over 15 years and she was the best cat. She died 10 years ago. Our adult daughters brought in a couple of adult rescue cats 4 years ago but both cats passed away earlier this summer. We've had dogs as well. These two Maine Coons that we have now are absolutely incredible. I realize that having two cats is better than one. They have taken over our family and are amazing little cats. We are looking forward to the next 15 or so years with them.
Maine Coons are very loyal, usually choosing one or two family members to maintain their strongest bonds with. Count yourself lucky if you are chosen. Maine Coons will defend you against would be attackers. They are social cats. However they are just as comfortable laying next to you, as they would be laying in your lap. This makes them wonderful for special needs people who cannot take the extra stimulation from too much touching but need companionship. They remain playful throughout their lives, and are extremely intelligent. Don't be surprised if they open their own door for themselves and your other pets, so keep your door locked when you don't want them outside. They were bred to be hearty against the rigors of the outdoors, including webbed feet for swimming, and a bushy tail that when wrapped under their tummies adds an extra layer of warmth. They are so loyal they will put themselves between you and harm, this coupled with their calm makes them great for kids. They will seek out a baby that's crying, and steer your toddler away from stairs, or the street. They know when you are getting sick as their sense of smell is 8 times ours and they'll warn you about it. Mine knows when I am exhausted, and makes my bed each night by kneading it to chase the bad bugs out. If a Maine Coon loves you, you will always have someone to talk to, and consider yourself one lucky human.
My angel is at least half Maine coon. She looks exactly like a purebred, except somewhat smaller. But she’s chirpy, very vocal, very affectionate, and greets everybody like they are long-lost friends. She knows when she’s getting wet food, and she demands to be picked up just like a two-year-old! She gives me kisses, and will sometimes lick my face to the point where I have to move her before she gives me too much micro dermabrasion. She is the weirdest cat I’ve ever had, and I’m not a cat person. I love her dearly.
I wish my cat was more affectionate. She only likes to be stroked for about a minute then goes for me! And only likes stroked when she's been out all day and I'd happy to see us x
Having had a Maine Coon, the neediness is recognisable. They always hang around you: "What are you doing now?!" However, this is not surprising. The breed is descended from farm cats, and when a farmer is working the yard or barn, having a cat nearby to go after any vermin that gets flushed by the work is a good thing.
Vocal, demanding, dog- like at times- loving- sounds like my cat alright- also very smart. My cat also very temperamental. Was given to me when she was two years old from a couple at our church who were moving out of town. A gift from the hand of God I'm pretty sure- she's been such a blessing to have around.

I used to have a Maine coon when I was 1 years old in 1994 but passed away in 2008 (named as Dandelion) and I still remember her today as being a Bigfoot being a cat 😂. As 2022 I have 2 cats Rallo and Cleeves and in 2023 we will soon get a Maine coon
This is exactly like my Maine Coon! To be honest, they are puppycats and these are all the characteristics of puppycats. I thought getting him a companion would make him less needy and help him follow me around less, but that isn't true at all - it's just in their nature! They just want to follow you and be involved in everything you do like a puppy, so I let him sniff things constantly when I'm doing stuff like cooking or even holding a piece of paper lol. We had a Main Coon given to us from the animal shelter. I named him "Shadow". Like your kitties he was playful and so affectionate. But when we got him he had fleas which we tried it all to get rid of them, but nothing worked. We killed fleas by the hundreds to no avail. Shadow finally succumbed from blood loss from the many flea bites. He was too young to get shots and it broke my heart the night he died. It's been three years but I still miss my Shadow. My wife said, "No more cats". Period. Thank You, JD
My Maine coon loves being held like a baby, belly up and all. He demands being held and makes my arms tired doing so because he is s big cat. So gentle and loving. He loves being groomed and doesn't fuss when given medicine.

I saw a Maine Coon for the first time a few months ago. Walked into a bedroom and there on the bed, sprawled out on his tummy was this huge cat! Looking at me, large round eyes huge head, fluffed with a beautiful long coat. Impressive animal! Very regal and calm.
My cousin bought me a surprise Maincoon from a breeder, I’m getting prepared before we go pick him up. He is not full bred, his mother is tuxedo, he is also the runt. I don’t mind just as happy to share my forever home

All animal is unique and all have their own personalities is just that if a person doesn't match up to theirs, there will be issues. Munchkin and Main Coon are my two favorite cats especially if they are Calico, Gray, or all white
We had two of these beautiful, wonderful cats. Both males and both rescues...from different places. My Toby lived 20 years and he and I were as close as could be. we read each others eyes. My husband's was Moe. He was 4 when we got him & it took a very long time before he got adjusted. But when he did, his Moe-ness came out and he was a very happy cat for 12 more years. He, too, loved a leash outside. I love all cats, but Maine Coons are super. I would have another in a heartbeat, but they are expensive and there are so many beautiful animals out there that need homes. We were fortunate to have our 2 at the same time. Maybe we'll be fortunate enough to adopt another (or two) sometime. Two are really fun!
I have two ordinary domestic cats who exhibit exactly the same characteristics. They follow me around inside and outside like puppies. They're very curious and want to be involved in everything I'm doing. They're very affectionate, constantly wanting attention and they go crazy over chow, like they haven't eaten in days. They act like they own me and not the other way around. Yes, I've spoiled them rotten and I love every minute of it. My wife and I took the two girls in after watching some guy dump them in a field and quickly drive away. They were about 8 weeks old then and so very cute. It was a blessing for us and them. Nothing happens by chance and it was meant to be. That was 8 months and about $2000 ago. The best money I've ever spent. It's been well worth every penny.
One of our Main Coons would spend the evening with us. When we would go to bed, he would sit in the bedroom until we got into bed. When our feet left the floor, he would turn around and go back to the living room. He would stay there until morning. When he heard us get up, suddenly he was back for our morning routine. Priceless.
I miss my mother-in-law's Maine Coon mix. Every time I came over, within 30 seconds of sitting down on the couch he would be in my lap. Triggering my allergies, all itchy eyes, runny nose and sneezing my face off. Yet I loved him so much it didn't matter. Lovin him up with one hand with a wad of tissues in the other.
I have a male half maine coon but he has all the characteristics of a maine coon and I love it! He was my 18th birthday present 3 years ago and my parents couldnt justify paying £600+ for a full maine coon kitten and honestly I’m so glad because I love my little barnaby so much and I wouldnt change him for the world! He follows me everywhere, knows exactly what ‘treats’ means, can sit when I ask him too and is just the most playful but gentle cat. Ive had cats since I was 7 and ive never had a cat with such a character. If anyone were ever to ask what cat to get, I would 100% suggest a maine coon.
They are the best cats ever. Talkative, mellow, friendly, don’t jump on furniture or high areas. Known as “puppy cats,” they are almost like dogs. They even fetch. I live my cat Nemo. He’s perfect. Wouldn’t get any other cat than a MC.
Shathya I am sad for people who dislike cats. Everyone has their likes and dislikes but cat haters will never know what its like to have a lovable fuzz buddy to come home to.

My Maine Coon princess, Olivia, died June 20, 2020, at age 16, a red cameo. I miss her so much! She was high maintenance, and demanded a lot of attention, which she got! I adore her! She didn't meow like your cats until old age. She trilled, chirped, squeaked, and when annoyed, chattered. One time she chattered at a ringing phone because it interrupted her nap!
In the 90s, I lived and worked in Maine for three years. I got to know these friendly love bugs all too well. Along with the Siamese, these guys are my favorite cat breed. Amazingly friendly, they'll be your buddies forever. I knew one male silver mackeral tabby who weighed almost 24 pounds. Whenever he took a drink of water, he'd lay around his water bowl and repeatedly dip his left paw in it. Then he'd lick his soaking wet paw for a minute before he'd repeat the process all over again. He also loved getting his back scratched.
We rescued a Maine coon outside a hardware store when he was about 2. He was in rough shape. He turned out to be the most beautiful loving and needy cat which was fine because we are home all day. Kemo didn't like other cats and especially dogs and didn't trust other people. At 11 last year in July he developed heart failure all of a sudden (open mouth breathing). The next 5 months were hell as we tried to keep him out of discomfort with meds and draining his chest/heart fluids until it became too much for him 2 days before Christmas. I am devastated, heart broken and haven't gotten another pet since but I now love cats so much. Kemo greeted me at the door too I miss that when I come home from shopping. He would groom my beard, and lying on my stomach and knead, then sleep half on me on the couch. Apparently 30% of Maine coons can develop heart failure. I was hoping Kemo would live til 18-20 so it was quite shocking to us.
We have a 'Mini - Coon' ; he was the runt of his litter and so didn't grow very big ( he's only about 9 lbs. ) and has the face of a yearling. He is a very loving, intelligent animal and we call him our 'Baby Cat' ( do do do do do do )
I lost my Simba 2 years ago and miss him daily. So grateful he adopted me, converted me to a cat lover & stayed with me for 16 years. I will definitely get another Maine Coon!
I just had to say HI. My kitty looks like a tabby, but I've been thinking he acts like a Maine Coon. I've been researching Maine Coons and my Mario does have a lot of physical and behavioral characteristics - he even crosses his paws when he sleeps. He only weighs 11. 5 lbs and he's kinda stocky. Not as long as my first kitty, but he's solid. I love him so much. I love watching your kitties. I wish I could have more cats but one keeps me busy, but I would want every cat. Albus reminds me so much of my gran’s Maine Coon Malcolm, who was all black except for his feet, which were white. He was way too sweet. He lived to be 19 and died two weeks after my gran passed.
We have two Maine Coons that we got to foster and we were instantly smitten with them both. We decided that they were going to stay with us forever and adopted them. They are brother and sister with Chanel being long haired and Dior is short haired. They are both 10 years old now and we have since adopted several other rescue cats and they treat them all like long lost brothers and sisters. Great cats and very loving creatures.
I lost my half Maine Coon cat Munchy recently. She lived to be nearly 22 years old. How many cats do you know that have a lifespan across four decades (90s, 00s, 10s, 20s)? Maine Coons are AWESOME! However, I would only get one from a rescue - never from a breeder. I used to have a Maine Coon. He was a stray that turned out to be the most amazing kitty ever.
I don’t have a pure bred Maine coon, but I do have a Maine coin mix. His name is Maximus. He is controlling, bossy, and snuggly. He’s frisky and playful. He loves playtime. He’s like the kid who begs for attention and he can be an asshole but he’s cute while he does it so it’s ok. He’s very grand and beautiful and there are some pictures of him sitting on Facebook I believe. He loves food and is a bit large but not overweight, just long af. We love him to bits and we pet him and give him treats, while he meows and screams for attention and sits on our stuff and hits our legs and arms to get us to pet him. But we love him to bits.
Had a Maine Coon (Tigger) when we lived in Vermont. He was big, but a big baby. He liked to hunt birds and climbed the tree in our yard to lay atop the bird house and swat at birds. We called it "Tigger Take-out". They do like to go outdoors though and hunt, especially at night, or in the day. Definitely not a city cat........
I adopted my cat as kitten and she was label as a Tab but she looked like nothing Id ever seen. As time progress she grow to be massive and her mannerisms were like not like a normal cat. Come to find out she’s Maine Coon she is the greatest adoption every, the sweetest, most loving, most demanding cat. Everything in the video she does. I never thought a cat would want to go for walks but she was so vocal to be outside too.
After watching this I'm more sure than ever that my cat is 1/2 Maine Coon. His size alone (13lbs - not fat) & all these mentioned characteristics he shares! They are fairly common in my area & he was found & rescued as a (super friendly & vocal) stray kitten. When I went to the shelter, he claimed me❤
Romulus can sometimes be pushy and bitey and annoying - but the times when he's cuddly and soft and purry and his head smells like Cinnabon make it all worthwhile!
It looks like you have a ragdoll as well. Maine Coon are great beautiful and great personalities. I like both dogs and cats, but I have not been without a cat for 40 years.

But when we got him he had fleas which we tried it all to get rid of them, but nothing worked. We killed fleas by the hundreds to no avail. Shadow finally succumbed from blood loss from the many flea bites. He was too young to get shots and it broke my heart the night he died. It's been three years but I still miss my Shadow. My wife said, "No more cats". Period. Thank You, JD

My Maine coon loves being held like a baby, belly up and all. He demands being held and makes my arms tired doing so because he is s big cat. So gentle and loving. He loves being groomed and doesn't fuss when given medicine.

I saw a Maine Coon for the first time a few months ago. Walked into a bedroom and there on the bed, sprawled out on his tummy was this huge cat! Looking at me, large round eyes huge head, fluffed with a beautiful long coat. Impressive animal! Very regal and calm.
My cousin bought me a surprise Maincoon from a breeder, I’m getting prepared before we go pick him up. He is not full bred, his mother is tuxedo, he is also the runt. I don’t mind just as happy to share my forever home

All animal is unique and all have their own personalities is just that if a person doesn't match up to theirs, there will be issues. Munchkin and Main Coon are my two favorite cats especially if they are Calico, Gray, or all white
We had two of these beautiful, wonderful cats. Both males and both rescues...from different places. My Toby lived 20 years and he and I were as close as could be. we read each others eyes. My husband's was Moe. He was 4 when we got him & it took a very long time before he got adjusted. But when he did, his Moe-ness came out and he was a very happy cat for 12 more years. He, too, loved a leash outside. I love all cats, but Maine Coons are super. I would have another in a heartbeat, but they are expensive and there are so many beautiful animals out there that need homes. We were fortunate to have our 2 at the same time. Maybe we'll be fortunate enough to adopt another (or two) sometime. Two are really fun!

I have two ordinary domestic cats who exhibit exactly the same characteristics. They follow me around inside and outside like puppies. They're very curious and want to be involved in everything I'm doing. They're very affectionate, constantly wanting attention and they go crazy over chow, like they haven't eaten in days. They act like they own me and not the other way around. Yes, I've spoiled them rotten and I love every minute of it.
My wife and I took the two girls in after watching some guy dump them in a field and quickly drive away. They were about 8 weeks old then and so very cute. It was a blessing for us and them. Nothing happens by chance and it was meant to be. That was 8 months and about $2000 ago. The best money I've ever spent. It's been well worth every penny.

One of our Main Coons would spend the evening with us. When we would go to bed, he would sit in the bedroom until we got into bed. When our feet left the floor, he would turn around and go back to the living room. He would stay there until morning. When he heard us get up, suddenly he was back for our morning routine. Priceless.
I have a Maine coon and he is the cutest cat ever. Maybe a little rough with play but he is still the best. This is the best breed 💛💛.
I miss my mother-in-law's Maine Coon mix. Every time I came over, within 30 seconds of sitting down on the couch he would be in my lap. Triggering my allergies, all itchy eyes, runny nose and sneezing my face off. Yet I loved him so much it didn't matter. Lovin him up with one hand with a wad of tissues in the other.
I have a male half maine coon but he has all the characteristics of a maine coon and I love it! He was my 18th birthday present 3 years ago and my parents couldnt justify paying £600+ for a full maine coon kitten and honestly I’m so glad because I love my little barnaby so much and I wouldnt change him for the world! He follows me everywhere, knows exactly what ‘treats’ means, can sit when I ask him too and is just the most playful but gentle cat. Ive had cats since I was 7 and ive never had a cat with such a character. If anyone were ever to ask what cat to get, I would 100% suggest a maine coon.
They are the best cats ever. Talkative, mellow, friendly, don’t jump on furniture or high areas. Known as “puppy cats,” they are almost like dogs. They even fetch. I live my cat Nemo. He’s perfect. Wouldn’t get any other cat than a MC.

We found our Main Coon on our door step. He was just a kitten, he’s now 8 months old. He’s adorable but a scratcher he’s been that way since we found him. Looking forward for his adult years.

My Maine Coon princess, Olivia, died June 20, 2020, at age 16, a red cameo. I miss her so much! She was high maintenance, and demanded a lot of attention, which she got! I adore her! She didn't meow like your cats until old age. She trilled, chirped, squeaked, and when annoyed, chattered. One time she chattered at a ringing phone because it interrupted her nap!

In the 90s, I lived and worked in Maine for three years. I got to know these friendly love bugs all too well. Along with the Siamese, these guys are my favorite cat breed. Amazingly friendly, they'll be your buddies forever. I knew one male silver mackeral tabby who weighed almost 24 pounds. Whenever he took a drink of water, he'd lay around his water bowl and repeatedly dip his left paw in it. Then he'd lick his soaking wet paw for a minute before he'd repeat the process all over again. He also loved getting his back scratched.

We rescued a Maine coon outside a hardware store when he was about 2. He was in rough shape. He turned out to be the most beautiful loving and needy cat which was fine because we are home all day. Kemo didn't like other cats and especially dogs and didn't trust other people. At 11 last year in July he developed heart failure all of a sudden (open mouth breathing). The next 5 months were hell as we tried to keep him out of discomfort with meds and draining his chest/heart fluids until it became too much for him 2 days before Christmas. I am devastated, heart broken and haven't gotten another pet since but I now love cats so much. Kemo greeted me at the door too I miss that when I come home from shopping. He would groom my beard, and lying on my stomach and knead, then sleep half on me on the couch. Apparently 30% of Maine coons can develop heart failure. I was hoping Kemo would live til 18-20 so it was quite shocking to us.

We have a 'Mini - Coon' ; he was the runt of his litter and so didn't grow very big ( he's only about 9 lbs. ) and has the face of a yearling.
He is a very loving, intelligent animal and we call him our 'Baby Cat' ( do do do do do do )

I lost my Simba 2 years ago and miss him daily. So grateful he adopted me, converted me to a cat lover & stayed with me for 16 years. I will definitely get another Maine Coon!

I just had to say HI. My kitty looks like a tabby, but I've been thinking he acts like a Maine Coon. I've been researching Maine Coons and my Mario does have a lot of physical and behavioral characteristics - he even crosses his paws when he sleeps. He only weighs 11. 5 lbs and he's kinda stocky. Not as long as my first kitty, but he's solid. I love him so much. I love watching your kitties. I wish I could have more cats but one keeps me busy, but I would want every cat. Albus reminds me so much of my gran’s Maine Coon Malcolm, who was all black except for his feet, which were white. He was way too sweet. He lived to be 19 and died two weeks after my gran passed.

We have two Maine Coons that we got to foster and we were instantly smitten with them both. We decided that they were going to stay with us forever and adopted them. They are brother and sister with Chanel being long haired and Dior is short haired. They are both 10 years old now and we have since adopted several other rescue cats and they treat them all like long lost brothers and sisters. Great cats and very loving creatures.
I lost my half Maine Coon cat Munchy recently. She lived to be nearly 22 years old. How many cats do you know that have a lifespan across four decades (90s, 00s, 10s, 20s)? Maine Coons are AWESOME! However, I would only get one from a rescue - never from a breeder. I used to have a Maine Coon. He was a stray that turned out to be the most amazing kitty ever.

I don’t have a pure bred Maine coon, but I do have a Maine coin mix. His name is Maximus. He is controlling, bossy, and snuggly. He’s frisky and playful. He loves playtime. He’s like the kid who begs for attention and he can be an asshole but he’s cute while he does it so it’s ok. He’s very grand and beautiful and there are some pictures of him sitting on Facebook I believe. He loves food and is a bit large but not overweight, just long af. We love him to bits and we pet him and give him treats, while he meows and screams for attention and sits on our stuff and hits our legs and arms to get us to pet him. But we love him to bits.

Had a Maine Coon (Tigger) when we lived in Vermont. He was big, but a big baby. He liked to hunt birds and climbed the tree in our yard to lay atop the bird house and swat at birds. We called it "Tigger Take-out". They do like to go outdoors though and hunt, especially at night, or in the day. Definitely not a city cat........

I adopted my cat as kitten and she was label as a Tab but she looked like nothing Id ever seen. As time progress she grow to be massive and her mannerisms were like not like a normal cat. Come to find out she’s Maine Coon she is the greatest adoption every, the sweetest, most loving, most demanding cat. Everything in the video she does. I never thought a cat would want to go for walks but she was so vocal to be outside too.

After watching this I'm more sure than ever that my cat is 1/2 Maine Coon. His size alone (13lbs - not fat) & all these mentioned characteristics he shares! They are fairly common in my area & he was found & rescued as a (super friendly & vocal) stray kitten. When I went to the shelter, he claimed me❤
