That was awesome. You can tell Tyler knows his stuff. At the end of the day, we have to be able to apply any of the techniques we learn. I can tell you firsthand working with Tyler, if you put in the time you will certainly will bloom. Notes I never thought I would ever sing I can almost speak and they sound full and full of oomph. All of us should be able to have this feeling, and I believe it is achievable with the right tools and instruction. LETS GO SINGERS \m/
Let’s go!!!
Tyler, the quality of the voice at 2:08 is brilliant:) I really want to learn how to do the operatic belt but literally no videos on RUclips explain the process.
Thank you so much. You're so generous in sharing these gems with us.
OH MY GOD!!!!! Thank you! Idk why i needed to hear this right now. But it just makes sense to me. I can sustain it
I hit it! It's not very effortless yet though. Improvement is slow as I expect without a teacher.
Amazing! Yes keep at it!!!
I know what you’re talking about, I really started to get the hang of mixed voice before finding your channel, and after singing through your exercises and hitting all of the exercises I normally do, it just feels so amazing! I can literally sing like half an hour of exercises, that just feel free and so fun, then hours of songs, just to experiment with the freedom. Thank you so much!
Tyler, you're my favorite mix voice maestro on RUclips. You were my gateway into singing higher. Not just talking. I have ordered your Mix Voice Master Class and used it to my benefit. Keep on keeping on, brother!
I am honored! Thank you so much.
Thanks again for the tips man! Love it!
Absolutely!
Totally the best thank you 🙏🏻 you are the best teacher learning faster since I see your channel and vocal instructions. Thanks a million have a blessed day
You're very welcome!
Excellent tip! I would also check out Lisa Popeil's work: she has been researching the hyoid bone movement for many years and, as she calls it, "laryngeal lean" - the pulling forward of the hyoid bone and possible translation forward of the larynx - has been part of her pedagogy for decades. Very cool to see the movement in action!
You got seeds bro!
Vocals of the gods🏆
Maestro!! 💫👌
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
love your vids
Thank you so much!
Above F4 I switch to a soprano and then go up to about F5 easily. My falsetto is very different.
I often wonder how operatic tenors get their sound when hitting notes above the passagio. The “squillo” I think the sound is called. ???
when you do mixed voice how do you feel? where do you feel vibration in your body?
Hi Tyler! Thank you as always for sharing your priceless tips! I have to say that this one does not work very well for me. I feel like it closes my throat, I need the openness for my voice to work properly. It does take me to the twangy side of things though which is great to find that upper resonance with ease, but I do not think I will apply this to my singing :P Thank you again as always!!
If it’s creating a twangy sound then I would suspect your hyoid bone is going in not out!
I’ve been experimenting 2 find my mixed voice, are u supposed to feel NO tension at all ? It feels weird 2 me 😅 (obviously been doing it wrong 4 years)
You should just do a full cover of when a man loves a women 🤗 nice lesson 🙌
I’m planning on it! Yay!!
i don’t know how to do vocal warm ups and specifically C is a hard note for me to nail with flatness i know it isn’t because it’s to high cause it’s usually flat towards Db5 rather then B4 And i’m a tenor with a super rubish lower range, i just would like to know any good male tenor warm ups that are really simple ao they don’t seem as looming
How high can you sing in falsetto?
Man your technique is perfect but you teach how to sing in a mixed head predominance. It’s like 90% head with 10% chest. Could you do a video with nasal airflow doing 70% head and 30% chest opening the mouth with mask placement?
Amazing, as usual! I can easily get to a high C in mix voice. I have been singing for a long time and have a strong voice, however, I don’t seem to have a head voice :/ whenever I try to create softer high tones for pop songs or ballads, nothing comes out :( Any advice gratefully received.
try the vocal fry in the falsetto, dont push but try to close ur vocal cords
@@rez77z interesting idea. Thanks!
@@rez77z you cannot do that, you can add distortion but in order to do that you would be singing head dominant mix
@@somekindofdude1130 the more you close your vocal cords , the more u need air to produce sound. if u dont push too much air, focus on a vocal cord closer thaat can make sound with just that amount of air, or the oposit, its a balance, thats why i said that, if u close ur vocal cords too much, u gonna do like a full chest voice wich is not really the goal if we wanna sing like pop music
Hello Tyler, Is the Masterclass Volume II now titled " The Four Laws of Vocal Technique?
Hey Stanley! Yes that’s right! There was a bit of confusion around the name mix voice masterclass volume II (people thinking that it was just an update to the original mix voice masterclass and I can see why they thought that)
So I decided to change the name all together to avoid any further confusion, so that it’s clear it is a brand new course with all new and different exercises.
The problem is that M.Bolton high C's sounds vastly different to the majority of high C's I've been listening to including mine:) Emotions, cryiness, raspiness, specific timbre - the amount of soul he puts into his singing is mind blowing. Yes, everyone is different and everyone can get somewhere but still...some people are just born to do this and we all know that:)
What you think about you bring about! You should look into Michael Bolton story. It’s incredible. He didn’t make it for a long time! He stuck in there. He kept on keeping on. Inspiring.
Micheal boltons high C used a chest dominant mix which requires significant power.
Tylers is a head dominant mix which lacks chest resonance aswell as can be done without making your veins pop
@@nightmare4eVerr1 I have an EGG coming soon to show that the sound even that I'm making here wouldn't be considered head dominant. But we can call it whatever we want, to me it felt like nothing and I liked the sound.
@Ahmed Adnan
I wouldn’t say Tyler’s sound lacks chest resonance at all. It sounds really full to me. Definitely not a head dominant mixed!
Keep in mind Michael Bolton always sings with background music. Which gives us an illusion of his sound being fuller than it actually is.
@@sananton2821 That was kind of the purpose in this specific video. 😉
🎉🎊🎉🎊❤️🎉
Great! What would be the equivalent of that high C in a female voice? OMG !!!! I have tried it just today (Sep 3) and it helped me go into my mix without a shadow of a break!!!!! I tell you, this is the very first time I can feel that easyness in the transition and up!!!!
F#5 or G5 I would say! Which is very high!
Cool.lil tip..also mommy mash my m and ms helps!
Plz make video on how to develop vibrato ??plz
Yes that is way over due! Coming soon!
yoooooo
It’s mix voice. If you dig into that sound with proper breath that’s how many opera singers produce their high Cs, like myself. Bjorling was known for this kind of a sound. Placement and breath. Once you have those, you can sing for hours.
I'm so glad you said this! I think it's assumed that opera singers are just dragging up the chest voice. I do not sing opera but I never felt like that was the sound I was hearing in the great opera singers, it has always sounded like a mix voice to me too.
@@tylerwysong a lot depends on which singer you are listening to. The heavier tenor voices tend to push their chest voices up high, while the lighter voices tend to transition into a mix.
@@EandVEntertainment Can you give me an example of who you think is pulling chest voice?
@@tylerwysong Del Monaco, is a good example of that.
I'm here to fix my baritone voice 😅I'm gonna try if I can do tenor voice 🥺
Someone once told me the main difference between a baritone and a tenor is the personality. Keep at it.
Mmm the tilt
Actually it’s slightly different than the Thyroid cartilage tilting. It’s literally the hyoid bone pressing outward! At least that’s what it feels like to me. And the tilt feels like it tilts diagonally downward for me. It’s bizarre.
Could a bass do it?
A High C is difficult for a true bass, but I don’t like to put limits on what anyone can do. I know people who would be considered basses but can sing up to High C.
