HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 6 фев 2025
- I took a trip to Lake Lanier for some bass fishing. It's usually a very clear lake but with all the rain we've been getting it was very muddy. So I used the opportunity to show you guys how to find fish in muddy water conditions.

What is that button on your hat?
It’s the Anglr Bullseye. You can find more details about it in the description of this video.
It's the patented flukemaster fish catching button. Just click for a fish...
This is the awesome old school Flukemaster I have been missing! Keep these types of videos coming!
Thanks for the real breakdown about muddy water. This is the first video real video I have seen about muddy water 💦 fishing that breaks it down and actually shows someone catching. Great job, keep them coming.
That area is my kind of place. Clearer water but the small canals that only certain boats can get through is a place I can spend the day by myself. Flipping or casting it don’t matter. Being ing that environment is what I love most. God Bless. Thank you for sharing your knowledge
Best flukemaster vid in a long time. Old school Flukemaster!
Sweet! I live on Lake Lanier near War Hill Park. Awesome to see you fishing here!
I fish the river pools by the red river in Shreveport and this is basically the conditions 70-80% of the time. Always tough. Lucky I found this
Hello Big Gene, Thank you so much for your help on fishing Lake Lanier, I live in Middle Georgia near Macon & Fish Lanier several times a year , and don't have much luck. But i have watched several of your vids, and I plan to try what i have learned , So keep posting and I'll keep watching , only bad thing i have to say to you is " Roll Tide" but i still love your vids !!!!
Sorry I live is crappy Cali. I am still blown away that a High School does bass fishing tournaments. That's awesome!
love this video. up here in Tennessee right now were dealing with the same thing. fishing is super slow on chickamaga right now
The most needed video of this year in the southeast
Vintage flukemaster!!! Love it. I always learn something watching your video brother.
The first things to muddy up are also the first things to clear up too because new water is cycling through. I 10 to 1 rather fish muddy water then clear water. Even cold muddy water that everyone hates. Idk why but I just feel much more confident in my abilities when the water is just muddy as it can be. Normally they get as shallow as they can and as TIGHT to cover as they can get. Which narrows your places you need to look. When the water starts falling, normally, you fish the same type of cover, just further off the bank. When they feel that water start to drop just a wee bit they move. I didn't grow up fishing lakes. I grew up pond and river fishing. And around here, your ponds stay muddy more then there not. Just makes me feel good about things. Crystal clear water scares me. That light line and finesse, deep water shit is my Achilles heel.
Good to see you back in your boat! Great information Gene, thanks for all you do.
Good to see ya back on the boat Gene!!🎣🎣
Best video in a while Gene. Keep making these. THIS is your forte. Mad love dude
Black n Blue presentations never fail in the Yohoo waters :)
Hi Flukemaster.. just a GA boy who recently moved back to the state. Ive been fishing non stop this spring and caught a 6 lb 2 oz bass and a 5 lber the day before. Im having trouble getting a lot of bites though. Anyway just wanna say I'm a fan of your videos and maybe ill see you out there on the water one day.
I've learned more from you in a year than I have my whole life! Keep sharing secrets and you'll have a fishing poster of me on your wall someday!
Caught my best spot of the year on Logan Martin today it was muddy too but have been catching some really good fish this week. She was 4.5lbs and a largemouth at 4.54lbs
I live in northwest Georgia and I totally want this guy to show me how to fish..he’s awesome.
Looking for some pointers and clicked here bc I too am fishing in muddy waters. I am one lake away from this one 😁 I'll be shore fishing solo for the first time in years. Thanks so much
Damn Gene, talk about nailing it. Same exact conditions here in Arkansas and you explained it in a boat video..🤘🤘
Hammilton was a milkshake yesterday
Glad to see you back in the boat
It sounds like those spinnerbaits you use are colar weighted spinnerbaits. Tru Trac Lures makes them. You can get the good weights with smaller heads. That makes them a little more compact.
Looks like how I expect my lake to look especially at the upper end where it's fed by a huge river. I was hoping to fish today but the ground is soppy and I'll probably dig ruts in the yard trying to get my boat out lol. Hopefully I can get out tomorrow after the anticipated warm weather and wind will dry up the ground some.
Btw I love your alumacraft. I have a 2001 bass tracker I just upgraded the electronics on. I have had this boat since I was about 8 years old. My grandfather bought it for me for my bday. We actually bought it for $4000 from a guy at our church that only used it literally a handful of times. I'm hoping in a year after I graduate college to get an alumacraft or ranger rt188. I won't ever sell this bass tracker though because my grandfather just passed away a month ago and we fished out of it for 13 years together
Man, getting tired of this rain/flooding! Good info as always!
Good to see you back on the water!
hi sir,,, I'm from Philippines , really happy for watching you not boring ,, keep it up sir and keep a safe 😘
These are the types of videos I love from you!
Greetings from Indiana🥶 ice out is around the corner🤞🏼 love your channel!
This man taught me everything I know about bass fishing
Was there also a cold front or just rain/ muddy water?
I fished our classic tournament last week at Guntersville and there was a extreme cold front and flood water. I couldn't find fish and was lost . I know fish go shallow when muddy and water rising. And go deep when water falling and cold. I couldn't get a bite for five days.
They will need this video in the Bassmaster Classic here in Knoxville! Everything is a muddy mess!
Your not kidding
Perfectly timed video. Lol That's what my local lake looks like currently. Great tips.
you did good work to hide the brand name of yours units at front face but still you can see the lowrance brand on back of them ;) just friendly reminder , good work love your videos getting in to the bass fishing in eastern PA . thanks
Awesome video. Chocolate water is tough. Love time time lapse / time warp. The BOOM!Gen2 epic GoPro boat mount is on its way to ya!
So glad to see this type video!! Love the teaching vids!
Found xzone last year. Their muscle back craws are worth trying if you can find them.
Going out in a bit to fish muddy water.. Thanks for this FM :)
Not sure why 13 Fishing chose green for their rod color. I like their stuff and am interested in that ChatterCrank rod, but I don’t know if I can do that green. Especially combined with the orange reel.
The lakes that I fish have rip rap and docks mainly and I have been catching them on the rocks in the backs of creeks. The water is dropping and clearing up so are those gonna go to those docks or go back out to the main lake?
HELL YEA THIS IS TYPE OF VIDEOS I MISS AND NEEED EDUCATIONAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have you missed my last few educational videos that I've launched lately?
@@Flukemaster i think i have and dont understand why i have-the bell notification on for your channel and still dont get up dates when u post
My backyard. Yep cold muddy water lately. Sucks.
Hello Fluke how do I get my hands on that green rod you are using I need one is there any way were I can get one and get look after postage people would love to get them here in Australia I think it would be a good move to show the fisherman here for 13 fishing.
Great video. Love all the knowledge.
Great vids man love it i fish alot of muddy water so this video helps a lot.
Fishing Lanier tomorrow - gotta try those pockets mid-lake.
Came up empty today on Lanier. Fishing partner got 2. Fished secondary points, coves, pockets, rip-rap. Water full of debris, stained. Some surface activity but water temps only 51-54 just as it was two weeks ago.
Got skunked yesterday at my local pond. Real muddy and cold. Tried a spinner and crank bait but no luck. What works well in these conditions
What stores in Georgia carry the mini spinnerbaits I'm from N.C. and have family in Georgia would really like to get a few if u have a specific location I can get them from, Thx... fluemaster for your instructional videos and tips...
Charles Locklear Hammonds in cumming ga, and oakwood bait and tackle in oakwood/Gainesville ga.
Are you based out of Georgia? I fish lake lanier all the time and would love to meet up and fish and get some tips.
Hey man your not far from me. If your ever down by Eufaula and want to fish it lmk. Your awesome dude.
Thanks Mike
key to fishing muddy water, "look for cleaner water." -yup
Perfect timing for some fluke master. Stuck inside cause it snow in Minnesota
Hey man how did y’all do saw you in the bait shop ...you da man with
Awesome video! Look at this guy with his b-roll!
great vid! I learned a lot. Keep it up! The sky is the limit.
Will you be at the classic this weekend??
Do you ever catch anything anything other than bass, when you are out fishing?
Fluke I see you are running a Yamaha 115 SHO 4 Stroke. May I ask what prop your dealer put on the boat when you prurchaed? The reason I ask is that I purchased a brand new Ranger RT188 in late 2016 with that motor and after using it extensively in 2017 & 2018 and constantly being disappointed with the motors performance I learned by speaking directly with Yamaha that my dealer did not sell me the boat / motor package with the correct prop. I was sold with a cheap incorrect size and pitch aluminum prop? I was not even given the choice or told to get the correct prop was an upgrade (if it really was)?
Angler Atlarge go check out solas props give them a call they will hook you up with a great stainless steel prop that’s your right size ! Also check the manual that came with your motor for the prop size and pitch !
great video man
What make and model action cams do you use?
Did I miss any mention of water temp? I've got similar conditions out on Lake of Ozarks an Truman Reservoir right now..
Low 50s
@@Flukemaster Thanks for the reply man. Hope your boy did well in the tournament or does well...
Heading to Chickamauga Friday by Harrison Bay. Anyone got any tips or tricks. I heard the trap bite is good but it's my first time fishing there so any tips would be appreciated.
What was the water temp?
Great video 👍🏻
Did Flukemaster say he was doing some prefishing for his sons high school team lol... Dedicated Dad !!!
Sunday video?!?! Whaaaaaaa?!!
Hi Gene,
Is this tournament limited to a certain portion of the lake? I live five minutes from Lanier, and the lower end and midlake are pretty clear. I would not fish in the upper end unless I didn’t have a choice in that muddy water. LOL
We ended up fishing the lower end during the tournament
OK honestly I was in a hurry and did not get to finish the entire video. Ha ha I see you made it to the midlake, and yes the further south you go the clear it gets. For what it’s worth, caught seven yesterday mid lake on secondary points back in the creeks. Best of luck to your son in the tournament. God bless!
As a fellow bulldog, great to see you up in my neck of the woods. Spring is quickly approaching my friend!
I throw square bill on mono dont fer hung up as much bounces off cover because of stretch learned that from mr Rick clunn
Are you from georgia? Now I will follow all your tips
lol yep I grew up here
What was the water temp on Lanier?
Low 50s
I know you said you are just trying them out, but what do you think about those X Zone plastics? I see them at a local outdoor store and always want to grab them, but always leave with some Net Baits or something else 😂
So far so good. You’ll like my next video.
Looking forward to it brother ✊🏻
Nice work. Not much competition on the lake.
Having you as a father to pre-fish lakes with would be a really good advantage lol
Do you ever fish Percy priest?
I do
WHAT!!!! Sunday vid 😎👍
What was the avg water temp- main lake/back of creeks?
Low 50s
I was fishing Lanier while watching this video. They were up in the shallow near stumps of trees. Find clear water and throw those jerkbaits
Keep putting out videos like this one. Kayak edition versions too lol
I think I have asked you before, but I just got an aluminum boat. What is your top speed with the 115?
46mph
we just got a skeeter aluminum with a 40 hp, that gets up to 30 with a tournament load. I got pasted by a ranger with a 115 like I was sitting still this past weekend.
How long were you fishing?
He works his bait or lure to fast be more patient with your retrieve and the bass will be more likely to bite specially the bigger ones.Even if the water is at it's best temperatures
Man fluke I need this video. Thanks big daddy!
Nice, 👍
Thank you sir!
Bro the whole south looks like that :( have been finding them on rock points in 47 degree temp
Awesome video though
Why wouldn’t u want kick on a jig trailer in small water... I understand adding bulk but why not get kick at the same time
Cold water usually don't want to much action. That's what I've always been told.
Lanier is really tough when the water is muddy and cold. The struggle is real. lol
i know, i havnt been able to get my boat out yet but been fishing around the bank, everyone is either main lake humps or in the backs like this video. tough to do anything bank fishing.
how are you not tangled up on those trees??
lots of practice.
Can someone tell me why he has his HDS letters on his units covered up?
I just signed a contract with Raymarine so it’s out of respect for them until I get my new boat in June and get their units installed.
@@Flukemaster gotcha. Don't blame you, I hate my lowrances. Countless problems!
I remember when Lanier was at drought levels not to long ago.
Thnx bro
Nice vid
not First in but still love the Video's Keep em up
do more of these teaching vids!
My line got hung just watching this
Smoked e
In muddy water 3 weeks back
Yeah bro muddy water can be tough. Lotta people shy away from fishing muddy water because it's tough fishing but you can get em. Just gotta find em. Or hit em in the head with the lure lol
