I’ve changed a number of drop links and struggled getting them lined up to put the new ones on. Then recently a mechanic mate informed me that the reason was, you’re supposed to Jack both sides up, to take the tension off the stabilising bar. DOH! Did this, and the next ones took minutes. Also, if the nuts won’t come off when removing the old ones, just grind them off, takes seconds. (Just make sure the new ones have nuts first). Thanks for your video though.
Luv yr videos , I learned from u how to import and register car, it’s a pure of natural home mechanic, ohhhh I copied u for my cars rear fog light , u r like a google for me , well done 👏 look forward to see next video.
Nice work Danny. Loving the content. A proper home mechanic and fixes that the average person can give a go. Keep up the good work mate! #RUclipsTaught #EbayBought
Subscribed buddy and hey ho we have all done mistakes on cars vans etc makes us human. Yes can be costly and a pain having to do the job again. Brilliant video and will be buying one this year.❤️✌️👊
lol, a pair of pincers that look like their from the iron age. This item is a must for any decently stocked tool box, cheap to buy and will last a lifetime.
Hiya , I really appreciate your vids and share your appreciation for the berlingo. It's the perfect affordable utility vehicle . I'm going to try changing the droplinks. I don't have axel stands. Can I just jack it up one side at a time or does the pressure put on the opposite wheel affect the geometry ?
I’ve got a knocking noise on my multispace, looked all round the suspension and nothing obvious, the drop links look ok but for £12 for a new set I will change them when I do the discs and pads
@@projectfearn everything looks ok, there's nothing obvious, although haven't looked at shock mounts but there's no play in any joints but there's a knocking when on anything other than a smooth road.
Great vid Danny i only get the knocking noise when i make a turn right or left so would this be the same problem or is it the tracking Old school crimmpers lol
A great, honest and totally accurate video of the trials and tribulations of us home DIY mechanics. Earns a sub.
Thank you for the comment pal and also the sub 👍

Loved that one mate, we all hit these problems nice to see your solutions. And fair play for showing your fails too as we all do them as well!
No matter who you are you are going to hit issues. I could of easily cut this video to make it look flawless but that's not how it went down 😎

Its better to jack both sides up. Axles stands are a really good investment and also make it a lot safer. I just have halfords ones 😎

Does the lower ball joint look OK mate and the top shocker mounts?

I would deffo of thought its suspension or bush related. Are engine mounts ok etc? No loose covers or anything? 😎
Thanks bud! Really helpful!

Old school crimmpers lol
It could be drop links or could be lower arm ball joints :)
thanks
doogan
If you jack both sides of the car up the drop links will have no pressure on them as they will be even.
Nice tip pal 👍
