    Just for reference, I can CONFIRM that a good quality Apple Cable for the Ipad, USB-C to Apple Lightning Adapter, works for Live View and Remote ID connection in the DJI FPV Goggles V2's.
    I dont see why it wouldnt be the same for the Goggles 2, but i dont have a set to try this on, so i have no idea. Should work for an iPhone though.
    But because theyre both "supposed" to being using an OTG Adapter on the goggles side, then you would have to check this on the Goggles 2..
    But its bulky and ive found from having to connect my phone now on my Avata for RID activtn, and having never needed to do this on my other drones, but with at least a quality aftermarket or geniune apple usb-c cable to lightning, was all i needed for things like DJI Fly App on iPhone and my older iPad Pro without USB-C..
    Have not tried this on Android though, and that might not accept a straight USB-C to USB-C cable, and need the OTG im going to guess. Its not really the same.
    Amazon does sell smaller USB-C OTG adapter's, that goes straight to a USB-C connector instead of the female USB port, to make it more compact for specific applications...

      Thanks for the tips! Just crossed over from Android to IPhone myself, and would be testing this out soon. Prolly will make an episode if it is relevant for anyone. As for connections of Android phone using Type C to C direct, Id say it works but I was using a quality cable. Could be phone specific though, having the correct firmware to read the connection. Really appreciate that you take the time to describe you experience with me. Am gonna pin this, so that we can help others too in the mean time.

      i have an iphone and cant find anything online about how to live feed video out from the dji goggles v2 to an iphone.
      i have a pc but i cant find a digiview app/download.
      i followed instructions from: DJI FPV Goggle DigiView video out Tutorial. uploadd by Albert Kim.
      but when i try to "Run VOC" it opens a window for a split second and then immediatly closes again, i was barely able to read "pipe invalid data found when processing input" before the window closed

      Thanks. Sorry I missed this. Did you end up with the Avata or DJI FPV? Personally Id recommend going the Avata route with the Goggles 2 combo. The DJI FPV is old anyways, but it would still be able to bind to the Goggles 2. That said, if you get the Avata with the Goggles 2 kit, then you could just get a used DJI FPV for cheap or if they came out with a Ver 2 of the DJI FPV, then likely the Goggles 2 would still be current. Much like DIY drones where a 5in drone would be for big air, and a cinewhoop would be for tighter spaces and slow flying, then id go for Avata for mainly general flying and I could do much more in closed spaces, while the DJI FPV would be to soar the skies and really go fast.

    Hello man im I lve in singapore too! I was just wondering, i've never flown an fpv drone in my life as well so i'm quite new. Have you heard about the cinebot 30 by GEPRC? What do you think about it and if possible could you compare it to the DJI avata?

    • @TheReelRahim
      @TheReelRahim  Год назад

      Hey great to hear from you, sorry took me awhile to respond🙏🏽. I have not tried the Cinebot 30, but I trust the brand GepRC. My current DIY drones are the Cinelog 25 and Mark 4 HD5, and they flew great out of the box. Especially the Cinelog, which was well balance and smooth. Just comparing the drones, I bet the Cinebot 30 would fly WAY BETTER in the skies than the Avata. BUT, you would be getting yourself into the world of DIY drones, which means there is NO only-getting-your-feet-wet situation. YOU NEED TO DIVE RIGHT IN. Because with the Cinebot, you will need to source for Goggles, Batteries, Chargers, Transmitter/Receiver, tools, spares etc....And then need to do the programming and troubleshooting. Oh and you will need a recording camera like a GoPro or Action Cam. The in-built camera is for first-person view only, and is not able to record. Its an awesome journey, but steep learning curve. Once you are in this journey, subsequent drones are just a matter of pairing to goggles and transmitter. With the Avata on the other hand, getting the FPV transmitter is a must eventually. But you are stuck with the set. You can only pair seamlessly to the DJI FPV and Mini 3 Pro at the moment. Also with DIY drones that have the 03 Air Unit FPV system. Then again, this will be a simplified cinematic package, that will well supply you with awesome footage right from the drone and all the safety features up in the skies. Its very messy now, as DJI is slowly creeping in to the DIY hobbyist side of the house. But thanks for the qn, as possibly Id make a "DJI or DIY" episode, to guide new fellas who are interested in drones.

    Here in europe people have removed the gps module to allow for better indoor flights (the gps sometimes tries to lock on causing unexpected movements) have you tried this?
    We need an update for the Avata for 4:3 and atti mode soon

    • @TheReelRahim
      @TheReelRahim  4 месяца назад

      Sorry I missed this. Interesting. Have not tried it myself, as I still mainly fly outdoors. If I a set for mainly indoor flying, Id definitely consider this option. Any idea if it causes any GPS error message to popup as it finds part of its sensors(gps) missing? 4:3 would be great, but i think the goggles cant support. Even if it does, it would fit that 4:3 image into the 16:9 goggle screen (if im not mistaken) and that would only make the screen much less immersive.

    • @TheReelRahim
      @TheReelRahim  8 месяцев назад

      Sorry I missed this. So I asked a bro who is more competent in the laws, and generally practices for FPV is not specifically spelled out. Instead, its along the lines of advice for general drone pilots that you are to "maintain view of the drone at all times". That said, FPV pilots tend to fly with a buddy anyways as it will really help hasten a recovery process should you crash. Crashes happen v often w FPV. Its like I know i crashed into a tree. WHICH TREE?! So having a spotter will ALWAYS save you time. That covers ensuring the position of the drone while in FPV. Also generally, with the FPV hobby, range tests are not the priority, and usually its for freestyle. So having just 1 spotter is enough for close proxy flying. If you do range test, then multiple spotters along the range will be needed to maintain view of the drone throughout the journey.

      @TheReelRahim  Год назад +1

      Y did you get a 5in DIY drone?! Now you will realise that the Avata sucks! hahhahahah. Not entirely of course. As an aircraft, a 5in DIY will be many times more stable in the air on its own than an Avata. BUT when we are talking about safety features and the security of having a drone come home and land right where you started, then the Avata wins on this. Excellent match mate. Have the Avata for those cinematic stuff, but rip the skies with the acrobatics and speed of the 5in!

      @@TheReelRahim I don’t regret my purchase of the Avata. It’s something that my son can also get involved in in his way to train into FPV. I was wondering if eventually you could do some tutorials about Manual/acro mode… about how did you certain maneuvers. What drills could be done to practice. I know I’m limiting myself because I’m hesitant to crash my drone. I’ve seen some maneuvers on video that I don’t even know how they did or how it’s possible. (Pointed upward while moving upward/vertical ).

I have been wondering how it could be done, and now can have a spotter with me and they can watch the phone and drone while I have the goggles on (I have a license to allow that mode of flight). Also, I tried expanding the idea using airdroid cast and screensy (edit to say, the "marjin dot it" one - simple screen sharing) I was able to mirror the iphone to my laptop, then stream that with screensy and let someone on the other side of the world see my flight live.

      Have not a pair of Integras to try, but ideally it should. Because the option to have OSD/FPV view externally has been introduced since they launched the FPV Goggles V2, so it should be the way ahead for them. U will always need to connect the DJI FPV / Avata to any of the supported goggles for firmware updates via mobile app. This connection to the app, will allow you to launch it into the OSD/FPV view, so there is no reason for me to believe that this cant be done with the Integra.

      Take it easy friend, and im not gonna try to sell you the idea of getting the Avata. How I have a DJI FPV and also Avata, is how I fly my DIY drones. I have a 5in DIY (similar size to DJI FPV) where I use to fully soar the skies and go fast. Then, I have also a Cinelog25 cinewhoop (similar size to Avata) which I use for close range stuff and definitely with less fear of flying closer to people if allowed. Point here is love the drone that you have, and if you see a need for Avata, get it. Because you never know, along the way you may suddenly feel a need for DIY cinewhoop instead, and you may just steer towards the hobbyist path. DIY and DJI and completely different worlds though, and neither are cheap. Simple summary for DIY is tunable, agile and full of spares and upgrades. DJI will be refined, not as powerful or agile, but NOTHING beats the safety features built in. Shit happens, if return home is possible, then u can expect it to land right at where you launched. it would take ALOT OF HOURS to tune a DIY drone w GPS to do that. But everyone has a route meant for them. So just give it time. See you in the skies soon!

      @@QuandarNl As much as i love my Avata and how fun it is, and im sure a diy cinewhoop would of been even better, so dont give me any ideas lol..
      But yeah after getting used to flying my DJI FPV drone and my 5" freestyle drone's, i basically totally forgot about the remoteId needed just to take off every single time. The phone needs to be connected to the goggles and connected to the Fly app, even after a battery change bc you have to land obviously. Its so ridicoulous.. I dont see a hack coming out anytime soon and for the battery life, which is definetely decent, but the speed isnt that great even in Sport mode.
      My DJI FPV Drone does 62mph in Sport mode and even more than that in M mode, if you can fly it like that. But i can literally see the battery level drop from prolonged full speed forward and full throttle punch up's, it kills the battery faster sure, but at least youre getting that speed and acceleration to make up for the cost of the flight time like a diy drone.
      The Avata is just underpowered alittle too much.. It doesnt meet the sub-250g category anyway, so why didnt they just use basically the same design battery and connector from the 6S DJI FPV Drone batteries, and a better ESC to go with it..

      Sorry I missed this. Been away for awhile. Did you find the solution to this? Does the blurryness happen when on simulator only or also when really in the skies? If yes for both, and you have tried all means to adjust the focus of the diopters, then you may need to get prescription lenses be fitted.

      Sorry I missed this. Hope u guys have been great in the skies. As for the Goggles 2, it only has image transmission out via cable. No wireless capability to do so. So your best bet would be (if you had the FPV Goggles V2) would be to have the V2 on spectator mode. It doesnt always work out, so I wouldnt recommend to get a V2 just for this purpose. Alternatively, DIY fpv pilots used to fly via screen monitors too (way cheaper than getting a set of goggles at those times) and so, its perfectly fine for you the pilot to fly via the connected smartphone screen, while you let whoever the interested party is to wear your goggles for the experience. So how I do it best is for both to be seated on a bench. Typical park/school bench is ideal. Connect up the smartphone to the already powered up drone and goggles. FLY EASY for a minute or 2 via smartphone. It does take awhile to get used to. Lag is minimal for general cruising, not recommended for the fancy aerials. When you're comfortable enough, then both of you go ahead and explore the skies. You the pilot gets to experience flying through a screen, and the other party gets the immersive experience. Just be ready to hit the pause button should you get disoriented. Hope that helps. See you in the skies!

    Hi it is possible with DJI fpv and Goggles v1? To have the data on phone? Thanks

    • @TheReelRahim
      @TheReelRahim  Год назад +1

      Hi sorry took me awhile to respond. If im not wrong, you could only see the image of the drone's view for Goggles v1 but NO OSD. The only other way is to extract the SRT file from the DJI FPV and insert it as caption in post editing of the footage:
      ruclips.net/video/JkTq1he-37w/видео.html
      There may be other ways, but I'v not done so and may not be so simple like the Avata's OSD.

      Sorry have not tried with the 03 AU specifically, but tried with the old AU. Does not work. In theory should not work too with the 03 as you need to open the DJI Fly app, which is only for DJI built drones, and not meant to support DIY builds with their Air Units. Hope that helps
