How I got into Adventure motorcycle riding with a Harley Davidson Panamerica - Episode 1
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 11 июл 2024
- Last year I shot a short film for Harley Davidson with the Panamerica. It was on this trip that I decided I needed to have one of these bikes. What I didnt realize when I bought the bike was the depth of the ADV riding world. This first episode chronicles how I got started.
This channel is dedicated to gear surrounding the Pan America and ADV motorcycles, but I will also be sharing my journey of learning, events and community.

It’s officially an adventure when the tools come out! 😂
Exactly
Rob Day ROCKS! 😀👍🇦🇺
Yea he does
Hell Yes! This is Awesome!
Thank you
Justin, great meeting you at the PA owner's ride out in Sturgis. Good luck on your channel, commenting and subscribing to help your algorithms in the YT machine.
Thank you Tim!
Proud of you brother 💪💪
Wow man. Suck a great a video. Totally has me wanting to go buy another bike….. an ADV bike man. Love it. Can’t wait for the next one.
Thanks dude! Let’s get you a PanAm!!!
Dude! I got the chills watching the first couple minute's and then couldn't stop watching!! Huge props, everything is right. My absolute favorite part is how you pay homage to your mentors first and foremost. I already learned so much in the small section about standing vs sitting and how weight is balanced!!! Appreciate where this channel is headed Justin.
Thank you Audrey, I’m so glad you guys liked it!
Just keep up with these riding videos of your journey learning /riding/installing. It's a fresh perspective for people watching these videos as they are probably new to adventure riding as well.
Thank you! I intend on it! The next episode is about “get on ADV” and why you should go to a event or rally like that.
@@wayweroam Looking forward to it. Just set the "Bell" icon...
@@brentmanning9802 you rock! I’ll be putting a video up on the black dog cycle works skid plate this week
Nice video Justin. You stuck the hook!
Thanks dude! Miss you guys!!
Awesome content, thanks for posting. The Pan America is what got me back into motorcycling after a 30 year break. I ordered a '22 last fall, picked it up in February and absolutely love it.
Happy to hear you love it. I also took a 10 year break from riding and this was my first bike. What color did you get? Hope to see you out on the road or trails
@@wayweroam Black with laced wheels. The laced wheels probably delayed the delivery date by a month but I really wanted them, so it was worth the wait.
@@gotpwr smart! I wish I had know why I needed laces wheels for adv riding. Every time I hit a big rock or go through some questionable terrain I’m always cognizant of possibly cracking my mag wheels. Next adv bike I get l I’ll have laces wheels.
I wanted to get a set of laced and leave off-road tires on them and street on the mags but it’s like $3k with all the sensors, bearings etc.
Ooooooh, I AM HELLA EARLY !!! I’ll try to check in on time later !!! 😂🤣😂👍👍❤️
I have a PA Spec too, absolutly awesome with the M Anakee Wild in OffR Terain. Yes, you have to have special skills (-:, TNX for the Video, well done!
Such a fun bike. Mine is loaded down and I’m headed to Sturgis from Las Vegas. I got to Salt Lake City after 118° in the first part, then it was chilly, then it rained then it was smoky and then a crazy side wind haha already an adventure! Thank you for the compliment safe riding!
Great video I’ve been looking for more Pan Am content that isn’t just another review. I can see why Harley choose you to promote the bike excellent quality content cheers
Thank you, I don’t actually work for Harley. Last year I just ended up chasing a couple influencers and made a film about them riding to Sturgis and then sold it to Harley
Awesome 👏🏻
Yeeewwww
Awesome Video !!! Definitely Sharing It Now !!! 👍👍❤️💥🔥
Thank you
Making moves my man!
Trying to keep up with you
Man. You're good in storytelling 🙌. Your mentors was great. I'm learning through this as well. Thanks and will wait for your next. Keep it up 💪

coming soon! working on it today. I have 3 solid episodes in the can, these things just take time and thats something I lack a lot of. Thank you for your interest!!
@@wayweroam Nice, yea great video understand the filming and editing is time consuming, looking forward for next one
I’m a little Late but I made it 👍👍❤️
Throttle = ISO 😆👍🏻

Like the content i have same color as you, deadwood. I would like to see maybe a common issues we are seeing with the bike to let potential buyers be aware.
Also current mods future mods video.
Im also extremly new to adv riding and ill be getting the wire wheels and knobby tires. I went off roading on those stock tires and they were pretry awful in slightly muddy conditions . Mustve dropped it 12 times.
Glad you found a mentor and riding pack. Ive been soloing it out here in indiana,we be awesome to get something out of videos.
So far ive added swmotech engine guard, heel guards, resevoir guards. Helibars handlebar risers 2"up and 2" back,my favorite mod so far. Then i installed harley racks and waiting for mosko panniers in woodland. Have a mosko tank bag and duffel. Have about 5k miles on it now.
There are some great pics on trans america trail facebook page of 3 different pas riders that have had complete engine failures. Most common other issues are electrical and heatshield weld breaking. The heat shield is ome im dealing with now.
I had some electrical issues and the heat shield fell off but Harley took care of it. Almost every manufacturer has had issues with their bikes over the years, even BMW with over 30 years of refinement has issues with their new bikes.
Love your suggestions! I for have some suggestions on getting started at least technique wise. I also have a hand full of upgrades I’d suggest. The A1 risers are so nice, the spoked wheels are better for off-road. My coaches both said to master off-road with the hybrids then get something more aggressive for off-road.
Thanks for subbing and looking forward to sharing the adventure with you. Maybe one day we’ll link up
@@wayweroam thanks. Id love to ride one day.
Ive had some electrical issues also. Seems like last update has made it much much better. The only thing i really dislike about the bike is the hd gps software from app. Never seems to work. Its been a great bike for me. So far my dealer and harley has taken care of me. So even the issues i have had all have been repaired by factory warranty.
@@ian6358 I don’t even bother with the hd gps. I got the quad lock system for my phone and that works. This next adv event I’m doing I’m going to look into a more off-road off grid gps solution. I’ll let you know what I come up with.
You will probably be taking it back to the dealership every couple of weeks to get something fixed good luck
I had some electrical issues when I first got the bike but San Diego Harley Davidson was able to help resolve it.
I've had mine for a year so far new starter new clutch New fuel pump New radiator hose because the exhaust Burns a hole in the hose numerous Catastrophic computer failures I've had the computer the computer reflashed 3 times now now the starter starting to go out again The front fork seal is leaking So like I said good luck
@@cluelesswonderer7898 wow thats got to be beyond frustrating,i,d really like to buy one but it seems theres alot of problems with the bike.im waiting for a 2023 but geez i dont want trouble
If I find one more loose bolt or issue mine gonna turn into a BMW GS.
🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ I had some issues but I hate to say it all my bmw, ktm, triumph friends have too! For Harleys first run they killed it. BMW has been in the game for awhile. I’ll put up with the quarks because I really love how this bike feels. I have over 13k on my bike now and knock on wood it’s been pretty great
Using your head as clickbait seems a little egocentric to put it nicely.
Thanks Dave sorry you don’t like my head
