They are great bikes! I have a pretty much pristine 03 and I like it more every time I ride it, lol.

How are you getting on with the Voyager? I am in England and run a 1991 Voyager xii. Regularly do 300 miles a day on it. Had it 2 years, and it only has 13,000 miles on the clock. Smooth as butter, but still goes for an old bike.

Well, very soon I'll have more time to reassemble and it'll be ready to see the roads of the USA :)

I had an 86 Voyager that was in pristine condition. The only downfall I had with it is that it needs a sixth gear. 3 years ago, I sold it whenever I purchased a 2012 Voyager 1700. One thing I can definitely say about the 86 is I could whip that thing around like a sports bike. That thing was Nimble as hell.

I absolutely agree that it is really nimble. I even scraped the foot pegs as I cornered too sharply. Had to back off a bit 😂

I like the fork brace. I'm running the same brand brace on my bike.

Many Voyager owners disconnect the trunk light because the lights have been known to stay on and drain the battery.

Thank you! I was wondering why it was out.

I recently purchased the same bike as you have.72000 mi runs perfect. The more I ride the more I like it. Only had on the road couple of days. Plenty of power everything works. Mine has a few more add on . Crome wrap bars ,trailer hitch, crome bars on front fender. Funny thing , my front fender is cracked in the same place yours is. Must be a thing. Are you still riding yours?

@@grayfox128151 Thanks for a cool comment! I'm glad you're pleased with it. I do like mine also and might make it as my permanent bike for long distances. I currently don't have it registered as I go through it with a moderate overhaul including a new rewired Bluetooth sound system with new speakers and a subwoofer, elimination of those cracks and a potential full body respray.

Hi just for information The oil leak is a common problem on the old 1200's I have owned 4 of them. The leak most probably is coming from the water pump needing the 0 ring seals replaced just a to replace mine for that problem if you do not fix the problem the collant could get into the oil

Yes, sir! I have replaced that infamous o-ring along with the seal that is sandwiched between the 2 halves of the pump. It is now fixed and dry!
