Awesome production! I’m playing an early-access game right now, called “Ready or Not”. I love it! This one impresses me as well. I always figured that “early access” games were in rougher shape. These games actually look like something I’d be proud of as a developer lol but maybe that says more about me? Still makes me even more interested in the full release. I dig the funny lines in this review! I often find tutorials in games to be very boring but since becoming new to PC gaming, I can appreciate a good tutorial. Good honest review!

Wonderful write up and I appreciate the comments here. Very much agree with you. Funnily enough I did a Ready or Not review long long ago. I’ve been meaning to give some updated impressions on it but it is indeed superb.
And yes I hear you on Occupy Mars. I do feel guilty when I go hard on some of these games as I know it’s very much a love affair and a passion point for them… and some Brit comes along and just destroys it. My rationale is purely to give viewers an idea of what they are getting into based on what they are being charged for. However, I do feel this has a LOT of potential and of the developers keep at it, we could be in for a very different game come 12-18 months time. Thanks again, love reading this!

Early access means it’s rough (I lost a lot of play time to bugs) but Reggie does see the potential here too. Hopefully they continue to work on this and get it to a place it deserves.

If you’re looking to build a Mars colony in the meantime, while you wait for that sweet First Person experience to be ironed out, check out Surviving Mars! That game is incredible, and fully baked today.

Still looks more interesting than most of the AAA stuff coming out this year! I’ve always wanted an immersive space survival sim. There’s a lot of strong indie contenders but nothing I’ve found yet that feels truly immersive. It’s a hard thing to do on an indie budget! Great review 😊

Couldn’t agree more mate… the state of AAA right now is a joke. Sometimes I wish these bright minds on the Indie side could get a big handout and create something spectacular. This game is a prime example that if it had the blockbuster tech it would be mind blowing. Appreciate the comment lad!

@@cockneygamer it really is sad. Games used to need to be fun to make money. Not anymore! They just need to follow current trends and have a good marketing campaign. Lol You have to dig deep through micro transactions, convoluted upgrade trees, and leveling systems to realize that the gameplay loop is basic as hell. I understand all too well that without money and investors games don’t get made but come on, is it really so hard to make games fun? 😂 All of the most impactful gaming experiences I’ve had for the last 5 years have been indie games. Saillwind was my game of the year last year! A freaking sailing sim! I’ll never get that from a AAA studio! I know I’m preaching to the choir here but I wanted to say how much I’ve enjoyed how your videos! I really do think that the gaming industry can and will have to change soon. Just like Marvel they can only milk a trend for so long and channels like yours really do help the movement! You’ve got a super underrated channel here and I’ll keep on watching whatever you put out! Sorry for the essay 😂

@@Atomic_Chef Don't apologise for the essay, I love to read it all. I agree entirely with your points too so very much on the same page. And I may have to check out that sailing simulator game... Sea of thieves without the stress sounds good. Appreciate the comments on the channel - we just hot a year old so hopefully the RUclips algorithm continues to pick us up! Thank again!

@@cockneygamer Sailwind is definitely more chill in a lot of ways than Sea of Thieves but has some pretty tense moments still. It's more focused on navigation and cargo hauling. There are many times where you are sailing with no land in sight and only a few rudimentary navigational instruments plus the sun and stars to make sure you are going the right direction. There's also your hunger, thirst, and sleep you have to manage on long voyages. It's pretty slow paced so I wouldn't recommend it to everyone but I find it incredibly rewarding! If that sounds like something up your alley I'd say give it a try :). Meanwhile I'm gonna binge on your past year of content and send some likes and comments your way! haha. Congrats on hitting the year mark!

I have chalked up a few hours gameplay and i like it. Yes it has bugs but early access so excusable. I like that you see its potential i for one am looking forward to future updates.

Thank you matey and appreciate the comments. And yes, I only rate the game on how I see it as of today for the money, but as you rightly say, this has HUGE potential and could be great come 12 months or so.

This game is not so bad. Yes it nearly access so a few bugs are to be expected but I already have quite a few hours on it and love it

Defo a Subnautica vibe. Hopefully they'll improve over time. Hate the hand holding tutorials though

The first hour and a half are important, as I want to be within the Steam refund window. You dated yourself with Ron Jeremy reference.

Thanks for review - not for me. still laughing silly at a Taco Bell toilet blowout lol 😂.
I think most developers either don’t play their own games or value people money. The industry standards with launched games let alone early access has slipped so much feels like planet of apes times.
Times are hard people value their money/time they want to spend it on games that work, & make them feel good. Sadly a rare thing these days.
I’m still rocking my 980 from the dark ages - & I hate games with meaningless repetition, let alone bugs, bad music & earlier access than fire for a caveman - it’s slammed on steam surely it just gonna die like many others.
I love a Taco Bell but not used their toilets 🚽 ha-ha.
    Jonny two shoes lorry of
GPU is less dodgy than the pc gaming market for reliability atm.
Thanks for a fun packed review warts & all. ❤

Actually I don’t think the tutorial was all that bad. It only forced you to do 2/6 of the tutorial so stop complaining it only takes a few mins. And I was surprised how many people still had no idea how to grab items and keep blaming it on bugs lmao
