Yeah, it deffinetly did, but I had already bought the stuff for the video and I didn't want to attract too much attention on the road. I did drive it around for a little after I cut the muffler and I got alot of rude comments on the car, but now that the muffler is on (and not much quieter to my ear) I get more civil comments every now and again or I go by unnoticed.
There is a lil bit of a sound change but it's not huge I think that if u would change the exhaust from 2 inch to 3 inch plus cherry bomb it probably would sound way better but just an option 4 a 4 banger it sounds ok nice job.
been thinking of doing something similar with my 1.8l sonic, i really dont want to mess with anymore than the muffler its self. i am tired of it being so quiet. buti would leave it red so it matches my car. the glasspack will get a little louder once it is carbon'ed up.
Shouldn't they be placed somewhere in d midpipe...instead of the end?or a proper exhaust tip could have been used,mainly for aesthetics.but still works and as long as one likes how it ended up sounding😌👌
I've ran all my Civic's with no muffler. D15B7, D16Y6 and my current K20A2. THe D15B7 sounded the worst, it was loud but a bit hollow, like when you yell down the leftover roll of wrapping paper. The K20 sounds the best at idle, a bit deeper tone but also the worst with highway drone. The D16Y6 probably sounded the best overall and might have been the loudest, since it was the only car I got pulled over in for not having a muffler. Not the greatest at idle, but the drone wasn't too bad and it sounded pretty good going through tunnels and underpasses. The only thing I can't stand with muffler delete or a loud muffler, is when it's on an automatic. Just sounds like a long, wet fart. But I am kind of curious how it sounds on a car with a CVT. I'm sure its worse but I don't think I've had the displeasure to experience it.
I ended up getting the 13.8 in glasspack muffler, i think you can just get them at advance auto (thats where I got mine if I'm not mistaken), it has a 2.5 in inlet and outlet. it was around 30 bucks for the Cherry bomb itself and the other stuff I bought was maybe another 30 on top of that.
