Question about depth please.
When I do the kick correctly, I tend to get the sole of feet out of the water or near it, I feel that, if I do it like in the backstroke position breast stroke kick drill, because in my arm stroke/pull I just get under the surface with my head and I am positioned quite flat in the water, no leg sinking.
I was quite comfortable with that.
Now I tried to dive in deeper under water with my head, which makes one get more out of the water when coming back up, much more undulating movement (isn't that drag?), to have my feet under water for coming towards bum and not very wide knees for the kick.
But man that slows me down and is exhausting.
Is it in the long run faster?
It isn't now....
This video series of the breast strokes are amazing. (way better than a few others). I'm super excited now to get back to the swimming pool and trying these exercise

yes you can do whatever you want. as long as you get part that you isolate(training) correkt.
When I lift the head up I sink 😂 I’m just a 47 yrs old beginner never did swimming in my life
Do this and I think it gets better: swim chest down hand along side body and breathe every 3 free style kicks like you do in frog headsup and down keeping your body in line as much as possible.
Maybe you lift It too high ?
I thought I was alone
Learn freestyle while your head is out of the water. Once you learn that problem is solved

I had a total hip replacement October 10. I have to relearn the kick and get past the tightness. It was a "bikini" cut, along the crease of my thigh...panty line. Awesome surgery!
remember, the breaststroke kick is UP-OUT-AROUND-and-TOGETHER
Catch the bubble!!! Feet bottoms touching together. Dnt kick wide, kick from core and hips....keep toes and feet flat and pointed at end of kick (when u kick, u should feel the bubble ur hands made)
When you're doing these drills and coming up for breath how do you maintain good posture in the water? When I do this I always find my back is aching a little bit after. Any tips on how to improve on this?

for me it's wrong neck position. Makes my back hurt if I'm not careful!

if i do 2-3 kicks during BR, i feel my feet often hit the surface. am i to fat and floaty? :o or just bad position of legs...?

Whip kick vs frog kick?
I just suck doing these kicks cuz my left leg doesn't have enough flexibility wich make these stroke my worst. My left leg can't do what the right does, literally pisses me off. And even hurt when i stretch the leg swimming this.
I managed to do the frog style but I always fail to lift my head up to breathe. Please give a solution to my problem.
Just learning swim for a year, I am 50's old and I like breaststroke but I feel move very slow😂
PS- furthermore, im learning my swimming strokes (breast stroke in this case, from chloe sutton and stephanie rice instruction, and examples by all the great female champions (kate douglass, lily king, the ever charming sarah sjostrom, and others :)
My leg are drop, how can it float?
Think of your body like a teeter-totter! If your legs are dropping, it's probably because your head is too high. Tuck your head and eyes down and press with your chest when you shoot your arms into streamline.
I dont move on my kicks what should i do?
Make sure you're finishing your kick with your feet all the way together and kicking the water behind you!
