Brilliant Video. I’ve just followed your excellent instructions on my Brother 3034D overlocker/ serger and my Rolled Hem has turned out fantastic. Settings 4/5/7 were spot on. Rolled hem looks amazing..!!

Thank you for sharing.....I agree you definitely have to do this by trial and error on scrap fabric. The point is that we have the process down. Now to put the stitch finger back in 🤔

Great explanation. Loved the close ups, highlights and slow motion. However, I would have loved to be able to see the final stitches better. The printed material did not help much, but regardless of that, great job!

I’m so excited to learn to use my new serger! Can you place two pieces of fabric with quilting in the center and use that stitch?

Brilliant Burley Sew. I am a novice having just acquired one of these machines and I love it. I broke my left needle twice when I went over a seam that was already surged. Any advice on this. I had been following your tutorials and only by this one did I realise I had not had the stitch pin in for both needle use. Although it did still work. Now I’m thinking that this may not have surged as well as it should but for a novice, i know nkt of any comparison. Lol

When you push that part that pops off, does it go back on after sewing the rolled hem? If so, how?

I was doing this stitch. It started out fine but in middle the stitching crumpled. I got so frustrated. Any idea why this happened? I was looking at the threading and it was fine. I have a M343D

  • @jeannienebaker

That’s way too many steps to do a rolled hem. Might as well purchase a serger that can do it automatically
