Thank you! This video was unbelievably well done with "extra" info but not too much to complicate the simplicity of changing from overlock to rolled edge. Your clarity and flair are impressive!!!!

I absolutely love tuts where the instructor gets right into it. And I can't thank you enough for pointing out what thread will show. Can this work on stretch knit fabric? I have to hem a circle skirt and would rather do this method. I can always try it on scrap though.

I was playing around with my serger tonight and decided to be brave. I followed your instructions and made my first rolled hem. It turned out perfect! I switched the looper threads to wooly nylon and moved the blade a little farther away like you said and it looks so nice. I made some cloth napkins for my mother for Mother's Day. Thank you for your simple instructions.

I hope someone still reads these comments… this video was more helpful than a 4 hour class I just did. It wasn’t explained “R is for rolled” and my instructor wrested out that piece instead of pushing the lever right below it. The settings were 4-5-7 resulting in a satin like stitch. The sample I was looking at looked like yours. I’ll have to try your settings. I ran out of thread in my class with that dense stitching!

Hi, I love your videos. I've done everything as above and it just does not form stitches for me. I've rethreaded many times to ensure its threaded correctly. It "stitches" but there's no thread in the fabric, just needle holes. I'm completely baffled. Any thoughts or hints would be gratefully appreciated thanks for your videos! ❤

I did a lettuce hem with my serger, but when I put the stitch finger back in, the thread bunches up at the end of it. Is there some other adjustment I need to make? I removed and reinstalled the stitch finger, but the thread still bunches up. Thanks for the help.

I lost this finger. I don't know how this big finger disappeared. I spent hours looking for, no luck. Should I contact Brother to deliver me the finger. I did not even know the finger was missing, when it was time to remove the finger to do the rolling lettuce, and the finger is not there.

Needle and thread and tension have to correctly match to appropriate stitching for each fabric.
