I have never written a review before in my life...but your videos are exceptional! Brother needs to hire you to do their DVD’s for beginners. Excellent!!!
Thank you! This video was unbelievably well done with "extra" info but not too much to complicate the simplicity of changing from overlock to rolled edge. Your clarity and flair are impressive!!!!
I absolutely love tuts where the instructor gets right into it. And I can't thank you enough for pointing out what thread will show. Can this work on stretch knit fabric? I have to hem a circle skirt and would rather do this method. I can always try it on scrap though.
I was playing around with my serger tonight and decided to be brave. I followed your instructions and made my first rolled hem. It turned out perfect! I switched the looper threads to wooly nylon and moved the blade a little farther away like you said and it looks so nice. I made some cloth napkins for my mother for Mother's Day. Thank you for your simple instructions.
I hope someone still reads these comments… this video was more helpful than a 4 hour class I just did. It wasn’t explained “R is for rolled” and my instructor wrested out that piece instead of pushing the lever right below it. The settings were 4-5-7 resulting in a satin like stitch. The sample I was looking at looked like yours. I’ll have to try your settings. I ran out of thread in my class with that dense stitching!
Wow! Followed these excellent instructions on my new Brother Dz1234 - gift from my dear hubby. I’m over the moon! So easy to set up and such beautiful results. Thank you for this clear tutorial - made me day!!!
OH MY GOODNESS this was life changing for me! I've had 1034d for a couple years and all I ever did was just serge. Thank you for this! So excited to try this.
I am going to be really brave and have a go with this, I am afraid to admit my serger has made me a little apprehensive to try different things but you have explained it so well I am confident enough to have a go, thanks
I'm going to buy my first serger in 2 days (brother 3534 DT) and I'm just watching videos before I get it. I'm scared of getting started since I've never used one but this seems easy enough.
Omg, pretty sure I just figured out why my machine hasn’t been working right for regular stitches.. forgot to replace the finger piece at 1:30! Wish I knew about that holder too. Not sure I’ll ever find it!
I have learned so much from you in just one afternoon ☺️ thanks for the precise and clear demonstration of the Brother serger! I will be using it more now! It has sat in the box on a shelf far too long!!!
Hi, I love your videos. I've done everything as above and it just does not form stitches for me. I've rethreaded many times to ensure its threaded correctly. It "stitches" but there's no thread in the fabric, just needle holes. I'm completely baffled. Any thoughts or hints would be gratefully appreciated thanks for your videos! ❤
You mention making the cutting width wider if rolled hem stitch pulls off the fabric. How do you make the cutting width wider once your set up for rolled hem? NICE VIDEO!
I did a lettuce hem with my serger, but when I put the stitch finger back in, the thread bunches up at the end of it. Is there some other adjustment I need to make? I removed and reinstalled the stitch finger, but the thread still bunches up. Thanks for the help.
I lost this finger. I don't know how this big finger disappeared. I spent hours looking for, no luck. Should I contact Brother to deliver me the finger. I did not even know the finger was missing, when it was time to remove the finger to do the rolling lettuce, and the finger is not there.
I followed but my far right looper thread keeps breaking after a few inches... I cannot figure out why. The rolled hem looks great up till my thread breaks
For so many years I've try tutorials with out success! This just change my live! THANK YOU!!!!!

Thanks Dawn!
I agree! The Instructional DVDs that came with the machine were useless to me! I have been having to go RUclips to learn how to utilize the machine
@@Sewingmastery i totally agree!
I agree! I'm Italian and you are super clear to me! :-)
I have to agree with Dawn Lazo here... you're super-thorough and your explanations are crystal-clear! I applaud you... Thanks!

I keep goin to this every time I need to do a rolled him. You taught me well

Thank you!😊 I will be coming here for now on. The Brother's instructional DVD's can't compare to your clear detaiedl instructions.
I am going to be really brave and have a go with this, I am afraid to admit my serger has made me a little apprehensive to try different things but you have explained it so well I am confident enough to have a go, thanks
I have felt the same way but stepping out of my box now!
Thank you! This saved me a lot of time and frustration trying to decode the manual.
The instructional dvd that comes with the serger made me fall asleep 3 times and never got to the rolled hem part lol thank u for this vid!

I'm wanting to experiment with my serger and try a rolled hem, but I"m afraid of removing the finger haha. You make it look so easy!
I am so binge watching the serger videos....need to use it with more confidence...thank you

Awesome tutorial. I actually understood and it wasn't to long or overly verbose!!!!
This was super easy to follow! THANK YOU!!!
OMG best 4 minutes I’ve needed 💕
What did you adjust on the left side of the machine after you started stitching? We can’t see.
She increased the stitch length so that it wouldn't go too slow for the video.
Thank you. Perfect rolled hem with great instruction.
Thank you! Going to make Christmas tree napkins with the rolled hem!! As usual, great tutorial!! 👍👌
Thank you for this easy to follow tutorial.
OMG! So easy to understand!
Absolutely outstanding tutorial- thank you so much!
So excited to try this. Great instructions. Thank you!!
Great video
Thank you so much for sharing it. I am proud that I can do it now. Thank you
What tension settings would you recommend for organza ?
Hello , how did you take the left needle out so that you can do the roll hem . What kind of tools did you use
Really useful, thank you!
Good tutorial! Thanks!
Loved the video, very informative. Thank you

What did you set to on the side dial after you started stitches. You changed something
Very good Instructor, Thanks a lot..

Is a rolled hem the same as a "lettuce" hem?
But how do you make it wider??? That was the reason I watched this and it told TO make it wider but I don't know how.
Your the best!!!!
This is awesome 👏🏽 thank you
Excellent!
yo quiero saber si este tipo de máquina borda y quiero la información en español por favor
Galilea Retana como? Bordar? NO!
I followed but my far right looper thread keeps breaking after a few inches... I cannot figure out why. The rolled hem looks great up till my thread breaks
Needle and thread and tension have to correctly match to appropriate stitching for each fabric.
Excellent!
