  • This iPhone has been to many places. Most of them told the owner it's the motherboard problem and it can't be repaired. Some said they can do but need many days to check.
Customer urgently needs the data. Very lucky they didn't mess the memory and CPU. Thanks to the shops before that they didn't over "experiment" on it. They just removed the shield, cleaned, did some jumpers.
So our chance to recover the data is 99%.
But obviously, they don't have the right tools or skills. Definitely not from a food-truck fast repair or on-site face 2 face quick fix. Because the professional is always working inside their "lab". The customer just needs to find the right person to do the job.
    Technical view:
An iPhone that is stuck at 80mA when plugging into the power supply. This response we always first to suspects the i2c circuit issue. i2c circuit theory can be a whole day class when I was teaching to students. I'll explain more if I have the time to make another video.
    If you're not well equipped.
It will be very time-consuming for you to find it. But with the right diagnosis tool, it can be repair instantly. In Chinese we called "秒杀". (instantly solved the problem)
In this case, I'll use the Thermal camera to scan. A quick way to find out which ic/circuit is causing it can't on. Especially when the board is only drawing 80mA without power on, the faulty component will create heat that our hands cannot feel it. You can't find it even you use the Rosin technique, that's because it's not a voltage big short.
(Not some Qian-Li thermal desktop camera which is unable to zoom and refresh rate is slow. I bought it and sold it.)
