my iphone SE fell down on the ground today and wouldn't turn on and I'm going on a vacation tomorrow. That's the main mother board and no it will not delete anything unless you replace it with another mother board since your storage is soldered onto the mother board itself.
@@PBKreviews Thank you so much for the quick reply! My SE 5 is broken and I tried all I can and the apple service couldn't help me either. I think you left the proximity sensor behind, that is it broke off the ribbon cable, Ive just done the same thing! I have looked at a couple of teardowns where this happens and no-one mentions it. I think it means you have to get a whole new ribbon assembly as its soldered on and would be almost impossible to solder it back.
Hi, its possible, I don't remember exactly on this specific one but I have worked on over 500 iphone 5/5s/5c etc., and I have definitely broken off the proximity sensor on at least 10-15 of them if I was rushing and did not take my time.
I got my phone disassembled to the point of 15:00 minutes into the video. Then my daughter bumped it and the rear camera and a tiny silver piece fell out and I don't know where the silver piece came from. I've look at diagrams online of the SE and can't find a name or a picture of this part. It's a small, almost tear drop shape, with two straight edges. The rounded part of the "tear drop" isn't perfectly round. It has one small circular hole (not exactly centered in the "drop"), with three pin sized indentions. Any suggestions?
I’m having a hard time getting the display ribbon connector to align to its counterpart. Does anyone have tips or tricks to get these two to align. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to help get the display ribbon connector to align to its counterpart where it will click down safely? My ribbon might be slightly misaligned.
A bit more detail could of been said for putting things back, ie, when parts must go back a certain way should of pointed that out. Like the last bracket over the homebutton wire, which side the tab should go.
Did all this. now I have a black screen with blue and green vertical lines when i turn the phone on. Is there a chance I permanently damaged the board? i think I may have put the screws back in improperly
Brenden Little its possible. The screws for the cover that covers the lcd cables need to go back in same order because one of them is bit longer and if you screw it in all the way can damage the display chip. Or maybe you just damaged the lcd cable. Try a different screen see if it works if not try disassembling the phone and reassemble it again see if it will work
yes, the ones which go over the shield cover that covers the lcd cables, that's important to put the right screws back in the right places or it can possibly damage the main board. You would need to mark them when you take them apart if you are not an expert at it so you know which goes where.
Those should all be backed up to your iphone backup if you synced to the computer or your icloud. Aside from that, the phone would have to be repaired to a point that it could power on and connect to the computer to be able to retrieve anything off of it.
I put my cell down in a tiny bit of coffee, now the screen wont light up.the cell still works cause its making the finger noises when i touch the screen. What is wronge with it??
It's possible the screen is damaged from the liquid. You can try taking it apart if you are familiar with it, to dry out and use a tooth brush to brush off any corrosion over connectors and chips to see if it will fix it. But most likely you would need to replace the screen, or worst case if the main board has damage that can't be repaired, you would need to get a new main board or phone.
Does anyone know if you can run one of these in a sort of headless mode? I want to use only the mainboard to attach to my drone so that I can have a GPS tracker via one of the phone locating apps. I want to get rid of the screen, housing, and battery, and power it from the drones main power source. Will I run into any problems? I realize I'll have to provide a working sim card. My plan is to buy an SE with a cracked screen to salvage what I need.
i mean its doable, but you would have to make sure the power supply and voltage all that stuff match with the phone, you wont want to short it or overload it. I know you can use it without housing, just battery and board along with having the power switch cable connected to power it up.
Any idea what the voltage range for power is? It appears to take a 3.8v lion battery- so at the bare minimum I think 3.6 to 4.2 volts should be okay? I'm not real familiar with phone parts, are they usually 3.3v and 5v systems? Thanks so much.
Hi, can be many things. Defective charger port, or another defective part causing it to do that or it can just be software or driver issues. Try doing it with a different cable and a different computer, sometimes that helps.
