On my old iPhone 4S I used a not original apple charger and cable and after I checked the battery life program I surprised: from 1400mah battery now I have 659mah!

It’s pretty weird that new iPhone model’s battery is not as good as old one. I have the 3G sitting on my shelf for many years (about 5-6 years) and yesterday I checked it and it still fully working.😄😄

this video helps me, I just changed my battery with OEM about last month and now my SE was suddenly dead even the battery was fully charged. Try to change the battery with secondhand original
I bought finely reconditioned iPhone SE at $150. It looks clean looking new inside out. It works like a new one, no battery or heating issues. I’m so lucky even if it was one of the reconditioned iPhones in China.
Been waiting for this one! I think this is the issue that my old 5S had, it started when it was plugged, looks like the phone tryied to charge, but could’t and never turned on again. Thanks man i will try buying a new battery.
I totally agree with this video. I used a cheaper cable and the phone was ok but the surrounding town had electrical issues for days. The cable was an MFI cable, and we lost power because of a winter storm, but the cable caused the problem that was not actually the problem. I cannot believe that companies are allowed to get away with this stuff. Ebay and Amazon have all kinds of cables and chargers that are not good for my phone. I did not buy them or use them, but they continue to cause me problems and I am thinking about what I should do to stop them.
My xperia tipo after staying in a box in my garage for 5 years - turns on fine after a charge Iphone SE after staying for 2 months on a shelf - *completely dead, needs to be opened to be fixed*
Watching this on my iPhone se and its also rose gold.I got it right when it came out so like 3 years? And I have no cracks or dents on it but over the years the battery has gotten worse like say i have it on all day well not really on but just not powered of and I send a few text and make a call it will go be at like %54 at the end of the day.So i got a new phone the iPhone 7 plus but i sometimes still go on this phone good for being a TV remote, listen to music in shower, alarm, calculater, downloading movies.Literally so many ways to use your old phone.I usually bring this phone on long road trips and flights to watch movies because i dont have to worry about needing storage on it for other things i love the set ❤️👏
I highly suggest using genuine Apple batteries that have been used, as the iPhone SE does suffer from this battery issue if it has a third party battery. This happened to me without it sitting on any charger, nothing plugged in. I went ahead and brought a iCloud locked iPhone se and took its battery and put it in my one, and it worked! I put away that iPhone SE for another year, and then tried charging it, and it totally worked. Other third party batteries do suffer from this issue, but they have signs to tell if there is an issue, like it boot looping. The iPhone SE acts dead, completely lifeless. I have seen a lot of “dead” iPhone SE’s on eBay, and fixed it up with a used genuine battery.
Those dock connectors can indeed fry your phone, a couple of months ago i bought some cheap $5 iPhone docks for keeping my iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4 and 4S on. After a couple of months i started to hear some high pitched noises coming from my 3GS. Goes to show that these docks do stuff with your phone without it being plugged into power.

Important question: will a phone that has built in surge protection such as the iPhone XS still be affected by cheap power adapters? (I know lots of people probably want to know)
Barundonthetechguy / iRepair no all iPhones have a charging IC which regulates power and if you use cheap chargers and cables the ic will go bad I have already replaced some on iPhones 8s which is surpricing...
This is due to letting the battery voltage get below 2 volts. As the smart chargers needs to know the condition on the battery. Before it can charge it. You can jump start the battery. To get the voltage high enough. So the smart charger can do it's job...
It's not the chargers it's the non genuine non mfi charge leads that kill a chip called tristar I have a few videos on my channel of how to test tristar and also how to repair it 😀😀
Just saying, when a bettery doesn’t show the battery flat symbol, it doesn’t always mean the phone died. I had my iPhone 7 discharged for 8 days left in a cold room. It showed no signs of life so I left it to charge for a 30 minutes and it came back. What really happens it that the battery always have enough charge to display that symbol but when the battery is completely discharged, it cannot display it. This is what I think happen in this case
I had my old iPhone 4 in my bottom drawer for about 2 years. I completely forgot about it. (I had ps2 controllers in that drawer) and I plugged the phone in, and it worked
My sister used cheap dollar store chargers and guess what happened? Her iPhone 6s was completely fried and had no life in it. iTunes didn’t even recognize it.
Can you please tell me how i can deal with a loose iphone se button. After repairing the screen and removing and sticking the button a few times the sticker of the home button does not stick really well.
The home button is always loose when using 3rd party screens because the Gap for the button isn’t as precise as an official apple screen it’s just one of those things
Brandon I tried that but it was still the same. Maybe it's because i didnt apply it properly. Thanks for your suggestion, I might give it another shot.
That comment about "one of the biggest killer of iPhone is cheap power adapters and lightning cables" isn't true, sure no denying some are completely crap but lets say a cheap one is rated at 5V 1Amp, providing it puts out that its not possible to do any damage as its not rated at a higher current than the original. As long as you test the cords and adapters. imo I'd say its apples design flaw that there isn't something to manage the current flow if there were a spike in current. i.e. power surge.
You do realize fake power adapters basically have no gap between the two parts of the board, right? Which means if you lightly banged it against something it would electrocute you to death and break the phone. Also fake power adapters have HUGE voltage spikes and can even feed straight 6V to your phone. Original power adapters don't cost $20 for no reason.
My mom had a ~6 month old iphone 6s that died on a knockoff charger and my dad and I are going to start training to fix it. And that's why I always keep my collection powered on, and keep and eye out for the power level - trying to maintain power between 40-80% at all times. A bit of a hazzle, but saves you from this.
Hey I need some help. I got an iPhone se that would boot loop and the apple logo looks glitchy. It’ll get into iOS after I let it hard reset in the freezer but that temporarily fixed it, and sometimes it doesn’t and I have to iTunes restore it. What should I replace?
Anyone know how to fix Touch ID that’s stopped working randomly haven’t taken the device apart hasn’t got water damage or anything just says “ failed to set up Touch ID “ and when I turn the phone on it doesn’t even come up with “ Touch ID failed “ like it’s supposed to, shall I just try unplug the home button and plug it in again
Check the small ribbon between the button and the flex at the back. That breaks easy. If it isn’t that then check the rest of the cable for breaks or tears. If it all looks fine and still doesn’t work try a reset (you can do it without removing data using 3u tool)
If the home button works but touch id doesnt, its probably the ribbon meansioned above or that "security" error which makes no sense, have you upgraded it to the latest IOS? (If the home button works but touch id doesnt) i wont do it, you probably will get error 49
Noice! I've seen other videos doing modifications to their phones.. Maybe you can try those out? Thing is i forgot which youtube channel i first saw them on.... There's one that puts leds in the apple logo...lights in the speaker area, wireless charging(they put in a different outer case... I think it was around 1995-97 , that i think it started in japan...that they took their laptops and customized it by giving it transparent cases, mood lighting etc...
My 3GS did that, however I left it on the charger, stopped checking on it after a couple of hours then remembered sometime later the next day and it was charged and working fine .
Its so fun to do what apple despises people doing. I copied the information from a 16gb phone and slapped on a 64 gb chip which was programmed with the previous data and it worked just fine. I'm now trying to make a 512gb iphone 7 can't wait to get back to that.
Something I found out on my old 5c. If the display is broken or not connecting to the phone correctly, the phone won't boot. It will load backboard and that will atleast let you plug it in to your computer and use Cydia Impactor to view the log of your device, but that's the only way to find out if that's the problem. Since springboard won't load when the display isn't connected right, it won't vibrate, make noise, or do anything.
Apple started mitigating the battery life of some iPhones like the 6-SE, something to do with old batteries or something. They dropped the price of battery replacements down to £25 a while ago. Not sure if this is the case with yours as you replaced the battery yourself 🤷♀️
Seen this happen lots of times with ipads. You just leave it on charge... eventually it DOES charge, and the low battery icon comes on if it was working before and was left. I dont see why the iphone would be different
Good video. Is that an OEM Apple battery or third party that was removed and not accepting a charge? I’ve had issues with third battery replacement batteries that seem fine at first, but then degrade quickly after a few months.
Hugh Jeffreys, did you visit this Apple website talking about "Maximizing battery lifespan and performance?" If you scrolled down, Apple themselves said "Store it half-charged when you store it long term." This may be the SE's possibility if you charged it completely and not around 50%. :0

Anyone know how to fix Touch ID that’s stopped working randomly haven’t taken the device apart hasn’t got water damage or anything just says “ failed to set up Touch ID “ and when I turn the phone on it doesn’t even come up with “ Touch ID failed “ like it’s supposed to, shall I just try unplug the home button and plug it in again
nathan curtis clean the home button with a cloth
Check the small ribbon between the button and the flex at the back. That breaks easy. If it isn’t that then check the rest of the cable for breaks or tears. If it all looks fine and still doesn’t work try a reset (you can do it without removing data using 3u tool)
If the home button works but touch id doesnt, its probably the ribbon meansioned above or that "security" error which makes no sense, have you upgraded it to the latest IOS? (If the home button works but touch id doesnt) i wont do it, you probably will get error 49
Great video as always!
Give me that iphone please🙏🏻

Noice!
I've seen other videos doing modifications to their phones.. Maybe you can try those out?
Thing is i forgot which youtube channel i first saw them on....
There's one that puts leds in the apple logo...lights in the speaker area, wireless charging(they put in a different outer case...
I think it was around 1995-97 , that i think it started in japan...that they took their laptops and customized it by giving it transparent cases, mood lighting etc...
my 2015 SE is my favourite iPhone id love for it to be new again
I have a fried iPod touch 6th gen. I left it in my pocket and then it went through the washing machine and the drier. What can I do about it?
Try putting it in rice
My 3GS did that, however I left it on the charger, stopped checking on it after a couple of hours then remembered sometime later the next day and it was charged and working fine .
I hope they keep making the SE, best phone apple has
Its so fun to do what apple despises people doing. I copied the information from a 16gb phone and slapped on a 64 gb chip which was programmed with the previous data and it worked just fine. I'm now trying to make a 512gb iphone 7 can't wait to get back to that.
All of u guys are lucky to have that iPhone...its my dream phone! From the Philippines yaaahooo
Something I found out on my old 5c.
If the display is broken or not connecting to the phone correctly, the phone won't boot. It will load backboard and that will atleast let you plug it in to your computer and use Cydia Impactor to view the log of your device, but that's the only way to find out if that's the problem. Since springboard won't load when the display isn't connected right, it won't vibrate, make noise, or do anything.
thanks mate:) My ipad mini 1 had been dead for 2 years. i replaced the battery and BOOM! it turnes on. many thanks
Apple started mitigating the battery life of some iPhones like the 6-SE, something to do with old batteries or something. They dropped the price of battery replacements down to £25 a while ago. Not sure if this is the case with yours as you replaced the battery yourself 🤷♀️
Me: This should be a quick repa-
Me: *looks at video length*
Me: huh…
Great video Hugh
I miss my 4s. Never should have sold it. Best designed iphone in my opinion.
This is happy to see, cause I have the same phone.
2050::a yes a piece of our history back when headphone jacks were still in existence
