AMAZING teardown!!! I enjoyed this video very much! Excellent video quality as well as editing. I loved the variety of shots and angles taken of the phone. I think I loved watching this video more for the directing than the teardown! Keep up the great work!

If someone don't have experience with micro electronics DON'T DO THIS.It is extremely difficult, i have more than 30 years of experience in electronics repairs and it was very difficult for me.Today i replaced my damage bezel frame on my iPhone 5s and i was made all this procedure like this video shows, it took me almost 3 hours it was very very difficult because inside everything are so small and there are many ribbon cables glued in the frame like this video show, the battery was very difficult to remove it because was glued, and was not so easy like the video show and also there are some extra small parts like washers and other plastic covers for the camera lens and led flash which this video doesn't show. Finally my iPhone 5s was like new again.

One tip to every phone. When your taking down a phone always disconnect the battery first to prevent any shorts when your disconnecting or connecting a screen. Ive done this before to my old iphone 6 and i basically killed it because i forgot to unplug the battery first.

Hi I don't know if you'll reply to this but I really need help. So the back camera (which should lie flush with the back cover) of my 5s got pushed in. I'm planning to open my phone myself to fix that. It still works but I hate how it looks and I feel it would be hard to clean in the future! So, will I need to unplug the battery first before fixing the camera or can I just go ahead and reposition the camera? Thanks

After this video I cannot understand people bashing iPhone for its non repairability. Almost everything can be changed as the phone is put together using a lot of individual parts where as some other (e.g. Android) devices consist of only one main motherboard where everything is soldered on and almost impossible to replace.

That's the thing, they really aren't that difficult. Sure more difficult than most other brands, but it's not that big of a deal. Apple just wants their consumers to believe it's largely unrepairable, so they would be more likely to just buy a new phone instead of trying to get it repaired. It's all simply so they can make more money. Don't trust the official Apple repair stores, they're really unhelpful, according to every source i've seen. Just try a local repair company.
