    Ok, this is seriously awesome! I live in a remote town in the middle of the Canadian Arctic, so shipping things like rugs to us is very VERY expensive as practically everything has to fly to us (we don’t have a road to our town except the few weeks a year that the ice highway is open). I am so excited about this pattern, as I can get yarn shipped or bring it back in luggage when I go out. To have this finished rug shipped, it would easily be over $150 and that is bonkers so this is a nice alternative! I’m thinking that I will do a pair of these - one for each side of the bed - and make it in a yarn that feels squishy and lovely on the toes in the morning. I am so excited right now that it is ridiculous! I knew that rugs could be handmade, but somehow I never put it together that I could make one. I wish I had the yarn here right now; I can guarantee that there would be at least one done before breakfast! 😉

      @JonnaMartinezCrochet  Год назад

      I am really happy you enjoyed the tutorial and will make some rugs. I love the idea of a matching set for your bed sides and the squishy yarn is perfect. I think I’ll have to try one in the squishy yarn! This one I have in my guest room and it makes the room look neat and put together.
      Thank you for sharing a little glimpse of your life in the Arctic. Its fascinating! Good luck on your yarn quest and enjoy making these rugs. 💛

    Hi, I am a beginner. I would like to try this out as you explain so well. I have a doubt. Is category 6 means 6mm cord? Kindly clear my doubt

      Yes! 6mm cord would be awesome for this project! Thank you for watching and commenting

    Hi . I'm doing this pattern and following u. I don't know how I get 54 dc on round 4? I got 36 dc on round 3 and I've done exactly like u said. But I don't get 48 dc on round 4. And then round 5 is getting wrong . What do I do wrong?

    Hi - I love your patterns, I made one of your blankets and plan on making more patterns - however, it’s this one I’m having a bit of a problem with round 6 with putting the 7 dc on the round 5 loops. I’m making the adjustments as you suggest but, they’re still not at all lying flat. I’m using 2 strands of bulky - Bernat Home Dec - to make the rug more substantial, and commonly stitch a little on the loose side, and I wonder if you might have any idea as to why these aren’t at all lying flat. Would perhaps changing number of dc stitches or maybe the chains in the loops help at all? Thanks for any guidance you might be able to provide, and thanks a bunch for these lovely patterns!

      I think get to the next row. It will help them lie flat.
      And also getting the piece damp and pulling it out to block it will help a lot!!
      Thank you for watching and commenting. I’m really happy to hear you like my tutorials!

      Thanks for responding - I’ll try this again, this time with just one strand, see if I can get it to work correctly - I really love the pattern so, I want to get it to work right! : )

    Great tutorial, very easy to make. Except i get a very visible seam with the technique when starting: chain 3,dc in to the _same_ stitch. Next time wont do that. I used tshirt yarn so that makes it more visible I think.

    So disappointing. Everything was fine until the row that was odd with the chaining right near the end. When I came to do the following row the whole thing curled in on itself but I kept going until the end hoping that the last increase row would remedy it but no, such a shame 😑 I used a 9mm hook and bulky cotton yarn.

    Just curious .... after finished product do people sell these?

    • @JonnaMartinezCrochet
      @JonnaMartinezCrochet  5 лет назад +2

      You certainly can sell your finished items. As long as they are not mass produced (factory style) and it’s always good to give credits to the pattern provider/designers. (Link to the written pattern is in the description box of this video.
      Thank you for watching!

      I’ve seen it as tape yarn, ribbon cord. Here’s are some links you can look and see if you can find some www.lovecrafts.com/en-us/p/hoooked-ribbon-xl-solids?sku=YHO002_48&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-O2-vM_g_AIVGozICh2bggihEAQYDCABEgIGZvD_BwE
