Kerry I’m really happy to hear this! ❤️ Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
I just finished making this rug for my granddaughter who requested a black one. It was an easy to follow pattern/tutorial. She loves it ❤ Thank you for sharing this lovely pattern!
I'm following this pattern right now and I can't express how 1) lovely your voice is and 2) how detailed and easy your directions are 😭 thank you for taking the time to make these!
Thank you for this beautiful pattern, been looking for the right size and style of rug for a certain spot in my home. This is the perfect size and style. Thank you for sharing with us.
Wonderful! I’m so happy you found this tutorial helpful! Thank you for watching and commenting. ❤️
Thank you! Clear and easy to follow!! I did mine with jute and macrame cord.
Hi, did you use both as one strand or did you alternate between the rows? I want to make one as well but I´m Not sure how
Very well explained!
Beautiful rug!
Thank you very much! 💐
It took me a few tries but I finally got it and absolutely live it! Thank you!!!
Wonderful thank you for watching and commenting!
I made this with 2 stands Red Heart wt 4. Acrylic works fine on carpet but slips on hardwood and rug mat shows thru. It's a lovely patten and a always, your tutorial is great. Thanks!
Thanks for the video. I love it. I use 100% cotton yarn which is not flexible so much. In the row 5 I use 5 chains instead of 7. It is more flat for me. Thanks again.
Where are you finding size 6 yarn. I'm not finding any. Thanks.
@Krisztina did you do 7 DC in that ch5 or 5 DC
@@clairechapin5221 I found a ribbon yarn called paintbox yarn. Don’t know if it’s still on sale. Tried to get some stuff shirt yarn on Etsy as well. Good hunting!
I'm going to make this for my bedroom, thank you!
Thanks
I followed the instructions and have a lovely rug
That’s wonderful to hear! Thank you for the support with your super thanks and for watching and commenting ❤️
Very good video thank you! Saw some awesome rugs in Portuguese seemed hard to understand.
This is so nice to crochet with your video . Thank you
Ok, this is seriously awesome! I live in a remote town in the middle of the Canadian Arctic, so shipping things like rugs to us is very VERY expensive as practically everything has to fly to us (we don’t have a road to our town except the few weeks a year that the ice highway is open). I am so excited about this pattern, as I can get yarn shipped or bring it back in luggage when I go out. To have this finished rug shipped, it would easily be over $150 and that is bonkers so this is a nice alternative! I’m thinking that I will do a pair of these - one for each side of the bed - and make it in a yarn that feels squishy and lovely on the toes in the morning. I am so excited right now that it is ridiculous! I knew that rugs could be handmade, but somehow I never put it together that I could make one. I wish I had the yarn here right now; I can guarantee that there would be at least one done before breakfast! 😉
I am really happy you enjoyed the tutorial and will make some rugs. I love the idea of a matching set for your bed sides and the squishy yarn is perfect. I think I’ll have to try one in the squishy yarn! This one I have in my guest room and it makes the room look neat and put together.
Thank you for sharing a little glimpse of your life in the Arctic. Its fascinating! Good luck on your yarn quest and enjoy making these rugs. 💛
Fabulous! Just ordered my yarn...GREAT tutorial...beginner happy!

Thank you so much for sharing. I made this for my grandson.
I’m so happy to hear you’ve made one! Thank you for watching and commenting ❤️
I’ve just completed this tutorial of yours using T-shirt yarn! It’s came out lovely and I will definitely be doing it again!! It was so easy and built up quickly compared to a solid circle rug. Thankyou so much x
Can you say how much yarn you used for your rug?
Sorry I made it 8 months ago so I wouldn’t have a clue. I probably used about 3 balls of T-shirt yarn but they’re big balls compared to wool, probably about 800g each maybe? Hope that helps x
I can see this was 2 years ago - I was going to use T SHirt yarn but I'm a novice - how much would I need please? i.e. how many balls of 100 gm T Shirt yarn is needed for this?
Great video! You do a great job of explaining how to crochet!
So great to hear. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Thank you and you are welcome!
I love this rug it’s cute
Beautiful rug!!
Can you make a totorial for a flat round circle? I’m struggling with that and a totorial would really be great!

Love this pattern
I have a size five yarn. I'm thinking I can just keep repeating the sequence of the pattern rows. Do you think that would work?
Hello Jonna. I like your video tutorial.
It's so clear for me. I hope I can do it later. Thank you so much. See you
Will be making this for sure.
So good to hear Renee! It’s super fun. And works up fast. Thank you for watching commenting,
You are very good teacher🤩🤩🤩
Thank you very much!
How do you keep the rug from slipping? A nonslip mat underneath would show through right?
maybe some hot glue dots
Gracias, simplemente hermoso!
This is so stinkin cute!!

This is awesome!
I like it and I will try it 👍
Wonderful! Thank you for watching and commenting.
Thank you! This is amazing, but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong when I get to round 9 I have alot of bulk I kept going until round 10 hoping it would flatten no hope maybe I need to start with every 10 increase first? And then count up?
I used to have the same problem you probably are pulling the yarn to hard try to loosen ur stitches :)
Me too
Used red heart and 5mm hook and made place mats!!!
Love this idea Katie!!

Hi! Been working out this pattern but in the written instructions it says on row 9 you should have 108 dc....but ive done the row 3 times and the closest I've gotten is 99 i believe... Help?
Also I do have the correct 48 amount on round 8
Excellent Job 😍 love it!! Thank u!!

@@JonnaMartinezCrochet I made it😍😍could you teach such easy rugs and bedspreads and sofa shawls please??
Thank you for the ideas! I’ll add them to my list ❤️
wow! Yours is the perfect video. It makes me feel I can do this even as a bit beyond sc straight or round. as i know dc, sc, and tried a few others like moss stitch this will be my first project further advanced. I can't wait to try it! Before this I'd only done continental knitting since I was 9 :)
Wonderful to hear Cathy! I hope you loving making this rug. Thank you for watching and commenting.

Good teaching technique ✌🏿️
How do i make this rug bigger, do i just keep repeating the last round
J, I am new to crocheting and I used the wrong ribbon. Is there perhaps a way this pattern can be repeated so to make it bigger? Please, please, please. I wanted to make a bigger rug for my kids room
I’d like to try this with cotton thread yarn, any suggestions? I need a round tablecloth for my kitchen table.
Is this a size 5 or a size 6 yarn? Will this work with red heart super saver chunky? Its not important to me for it to be cotton because it's just for decor....also would it work with 2 strands of a size 4 yarn? So beautiful!?
I think she said size six in the very beginning?! I just looked in the description box and nothing is mentioned about the size yarn, just the type. She does say the hook size.
After the 7 double crochet row it’s really bunching up! Using acrylic and wool! Will it flatten out after blocking? Thanks for your help
Hi! I really like this tutorial. Is very clear and well done!
However my rug is not flat… it bunches a lot in the row that has the chain seven … not sure how to fix it… can you help?
Pretty 💓it’s there any alternative for yarn?
@21:46 21:46 the pattern says 2 chains of 7 , 1 for 6 and 3 for 7. After 3 chains of 7 are we going to make another 2chains of 7 only? Am I understanding correctly? Can someone confirm?
Did you get your answer, because I have the same question too
Thanks a ton for this beautiful pattern could you please tell me how i can make it bigger
I made it and its very nice but i want it bigger how can i do that
Wooow i love it
LOVE this!! I think there’s something really wrong on my part... 4th row is supposed to be 48 but I counted 52. Something is definitely wrong...help. Thanks 🙏
I love this pattern. I'm trying this with number 10 thread. I was wondering on roll 14 how many loop should be. I got 26 loops. Also. On roll 16 . Is it 5 ch 7. And ch 6 then 5 ch 7. Thank you
Nice rug! And Happy Holidays!
Happy holidays! Thank you!
Can you be more pacific when you say slip stitch to the next very first Stitch because after I came my last seven I don't know where to go if you can show us
Help me please 😅
I tried to make this but I have confusion at round 12. I end up with 2 empty holes I don't know why. I count back my work many times but I couldn't find where is my mistake. All are perfectly stitches, 2 increases and 10 double crochets for the next 10 spaces. Is it normal to have 2 empty spaces left at the very last?
Do you think if I used double yarn (2 skeins on hook) instead of bulky yarn that it would work?
Yes! Or three skeins. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Is that cotton yarn? And where can I gind it please. Also, do you have a written pattern?
Can this rug be made larger?
Yes! Just keep going with the repeats. You can print out the pattern to help with this. Link in the description box of this video. Thank you for watching and commenting!
@@JonnaMartinezCrochet thank you.
Hi beautiful rug pattern and teaching , I would like to make it bigger, could you please tell me how to do this , thank you 😊
Did you ever figure out how to make this rug bigger? I'm trying to but can't figure it out.
This WAS a fun rug to make. It's a wonderful design! May I make these and sell them? I will, of course, put on the package that you are the design creator and they can look you up on RUclips to make it themselves.
You may sell the finished rugs. This is a drops design pattern (link in the description box of this tutorial) be sure to credit them. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Great👌
Hi, may I ask if I can use t-shirt yarn for this project? Or I have to use cotton yarn, please advise
Yes! T-shirt yarn will work 🥰 thank you for watching and commenting.
Oh Yeah This Is A Project That I Will Definitely Be Putting On My list!! Can this also be made with T-Shirt Yarn?
Yes ! I made it with t shirt yarn and it came out beautifully!
Hi. For round 17, how many dc's should there be ? Thks
Hi, I am a beginner. I would like to try this out as you explain so well. I have a doubt. Is category 6 means 6mm cord? Kindly clear my doubt
Yes! 6mm cord would be awesome for this project! Thank you for watching and commenting
How many yards of yarn do you need?
Thank you very much it’s very nice rug tutorial I made it but using different yarn so it came smaller any advice of how to increase another set of lines so it gets little bigger than that . Thnx in advance
The pattern has the information to keep going. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Hi . I'm doing this pattern and following u. I don't know how I get 54 dc on round 4? I got 36 dc on round 3 and I've done exactly like u said. But I don't get 48 dc on round 4. And then round 5 is getting wrong . What do I do wrong?
Hi - I love your patterns, I made one of your blankets and plan on making more patterns - however, it’s this one I’m having a bit of a problem with round 6 with putting the 7 dc on the round 5 loops. I’m making the adjustments as you suggest but, they’re still not at all lying flat. I’m using 2 strands of bulky - Bernat Home Dec - to make the rug more substantial, and commonly stitch a little on the loose side, and I wonder if you might have any idea as to why these aren’t at all lying flat. Would perhaps changing number of dc stitches or maybe the chains in the loops help at all? Thanks for any guidance you might be able to provide, and thanks a bunch for these lovely patterns!
I think get to the next row. It will help them lie flat.
And also getting the piece damp and pulling it out to block it will help a lot!!
Thank you for watching and commenting. I’m really happy to hear you like my tutorials!
Thanks for responding - I’ll try this again, this time with just one strand, see if I can get it to work correctly - I really love the pattern so, I want to get it to work right! : )
Great tutorial, very easy to make. Except i get a very visible seam with the technique when starting: chain 3,dc in to the _same_ stitch. Next time wont do that. I used tshirt yarn so that makes it more visible I think.
So disappointing. Everything was fine until the row that was odd with the chaining right near the end. When I came to do the following row the whole thing curled in on itself but I kept going until the end hoping that the last increase row would remedy it but no, such a shame 😑 I used a 9mm hook and bulky cotton yarn.
Am new to crocheting. Why is my row 8 not lying flat? Am using tshirt yarn.

Just curious .... after finished product do people sell these?
You certainly can sell your finished items. As long as they are not mass produced (factory style) and it’s always good to give credits to the pattern provider/designers. (Link to the written pattern is in the description box of this video.
Thank you for watching!
Can anyone tell me how many DC should be in the 14th row?
Love the pattern and tutorial. Somebody could help with the yarn? A reference to an equivalent one in Europe? A brand and exact description that I can easily find/order online? Thank yooou!!🤗
I’ve seen it as tape yarn, ribbon cord. Here’s are some links you can look and see if you can find some www.lovecrafts.com/en-us/p/hoooked-ribbon-xl-solids?sku=YHO002_48&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-O2-vM_g_AIVGozICh2bggihEAQYDCABEgIGZvD_BwE

I love but , I'm using 3mm macrame cord . It's really bunching up in those shells ugh. I hope blocking will fix this .
Very pretty.

How many stitches should i have at the end of round 13?
