    Why do some of the alarms say alert instead of fire?

      Because they were intended for mass notification and emergency communication systems (ECS/MNS) or hard story simplified any emergency other than fire for example, tornado, bomb threat, earthquake, hurricane the list goes on, as long as it is not fire, a common place that they can be found is military bases (which is one reason why they rarely appear in public) per NFPA codes.

    You should see the new LED truealerts. FUGLY!!! They are so ugly and look horrible.
